The final two Grand pups went to their new owners today. I wish them them best of luck and thanks for choosing Plain English Kennel and Roofus as your choices... Sorry for the shortage in this litter... However I do feel as these pups will get a fair chance at what they desirve most...

2012 Spookfest and Sweetheart Fan winner...

Our 3 year old Grand Daughter won 2012 Miss Spooky and the Sweetheart Fan yesterday at the a Halloween pagent held in Cowen, WV... Prayers for my lovely wife...

She had a mammogram done last week it came back real bad... She goes back to the Dr. tomorrow for more intense testing... Studies say 226,000 women will be diagnosised with breast cancer this year... I pray that my wife isn't one of them or anyone else's by that means... She has a mammogram done every October and she noticed a issue early September but waited til' now for her insurance to pay for full test. We are a proud sponser of Breast Cancer Awareness and A Cure Research... Thanks, JR

Sorry to hear this JR, we will keep her in our prayers. They can do some amazing things now days. My mother in law is a surviver for more than twenty years and still doing well. Good luck and I hope all goes well. ----Kenny

JR our prayers are with your wife my wife is a breast cancer survivor been clear six years now she caught it early and had a very good doc localy that had sense enough to send her to a big cancer hospital things turned out well alot of worry till then though our prayers are with her that things turn out well Neal

Thanks dbiek a billion kisses and hugs will never be enough and I do give her several every day and I always have and will...

She had her test ran today we won't know anything for a week or so if any surgeries or treatment are required she will be transfered some where else... They have done all they can here. She has losted over 20lbs in a month that scares me... She feels tired alot... But she won't slow down she has always been a avid worker... I love her more than anything...

Yeah the way they talk anything could happen with this storm I have heard a possible of 2 feet of snow to 10 inches of rain or it could even miss us.. People are going nuts yesterday we sold every gas, desiel and kerosene can we had in the store... Rumors are people were trying to get Lowes to hold generator's for them... I guess this past summers storm has every one worried. It was nearly 80 degrees here yesterday my Aunt called my dad last night from Tennessee and said it was in the 40's there and they were freezing Lol... Its a nice day here so far the rain was to start last night at midnight but it hasnt rained yet... I haven't listened to weather today I have been outside doing yard work...

I recieved by 2012 English Yearbook today had some nice hounds featured I wish I could have gotten my ad in but maybe next year...

I just watched the weather they are now saying the high mountians could see upto 3 feet of snow... The rain started yesterday around 4pm but its only been a light rain so far.. Most of our leaves are off here... They are issuing high wind and blizzrd warnings... It could be the worst storm to ever hit the East Coast... It will what it will be I have plenty of wood for the ol buck stove and a beautiful wife to cling to so bring it on !!! Lol... No since in getting worked up over it ...

We have approx a foot of snow I can't make it out to get to work the road is full of trees several people are without power. Ours has went on and off several times but still hanging in there. No cable internet or telephone service. The last weather I heard was the bulk of the storm is to hit us at noon today. Waiting on daylight to take chainsaw and BIG RED out to try to open the road... Will try to post some pictures soon.. The buck stove is smoking and eating plenty of hardwood and the wife is cooking a big ol country breakfast... How sweet it is... Lol..

Junior, it looks like you have a plan. All of the snow may cut back on your coon hunting. I followed Ole Roofus in some deep snow, he can kind of take the fun out of it sometimes going deep. At least for this old man anyway. But, he managed to tree coon.

My beagles love the snow but my English don't care for it much.
Frances Gail calls snow "the S word".

The Perfect Storm.....

We are still without power and all utilites the wife has been cooking on the buck stove. Washing from a wash tube. Looks like it maybe a while many power and telephone poles are broken. We will survive I thank God for my countryfied wife she is the best.. Rumors of as much as six feet fell on some areas and more to come within days.. As of yesterday the death total was six in WV. Several bussinesses and more have collasped...Our prayers go to all. Thanks for all concerns.

Part of country life is being prepared and making the best out of living in the coutry. Frances Gail and I try to be prepared for the worst and have had to live without electric power from time to time. We are hoping the next storm passes you folks by.
