Tim, I wasn't able to make the trip with Brent this time. Work has me tied up here in Kansas. I would have enjoyed meeting Lance and everyone down in 'Bama. Maybe we can all get together another time and tree a coon or two. Brent is'nt quite used to the road game like I am. I am on the road all the time with my job and I was raised doing it on top of that, part gypsy I guess you could say. I'll be headed to Michigan before too long to pick up the Sid pup(Code Blue), Juice and Floozy. I might con 'ole Brent into makin' the trip with me. I need a bumper sticker "Have Dog Box, Will Travel".

I just got done watching an episode of "CARNIVOIRE" I taped on a hunting channel. Features Blueticks and Autumn Oaks .I read about it on the board, so I taped it to check it out. Anyway, the reason I bring this up is I'm sure I seen a shot of your buddy Robbie Brooks sitting on the bleachers during an Autumn Oaks show.

He was there and did watch a good bit of the show. We were there too. It was fun. Dave Dean came by the camper and he and Tim Vaughn told stories for about an hour. I wish they would have got that on tape. The good memories.

Zone 6 championship

I won BMOS with RB yesterday and best of breed with Sally. I drew out in a dead cast with Sally hunting range coon. She and a nice walker dog made two big trees with muskedines. We we in a four dog cast including this years winter classic winner. We did have a good time and hunted with good people.

Shaun won his cast with 100+ with RB. He hunted with some really nice hounds and people. Wish us luck drawing out tonight. We need to draw out good to have a chance. RB jumped off a 30' bridge and luckily hit in the water and kept on going. Shaun was amazed he never missed a lick.

We will do our best. The rain looks here to stay. Good luck to everyone. We had a good turnout last night.

He got a fourth registered last night.

We are very thankful for what we won:

RB won King of Show, BMOS friday, Champion male saturday, 4th place registered on friday

Sally won: best of breed friday, BFOS saturday

As seems to be the norm for me I drew a dead cast with Sally both nights. Roy I must be the jinx. Lol

Shaun and RB were one of two blue males in the drivers seat for king of hunt and neither got a cast win saturday. I watched my friend Clyde Murphy do like team mad dog at nationals. He didn't have much go right early and saturday night Brummy showed out and diservingly won king of hunt. Congradulations to them for earning it the hard way. There were 90 something hounds shown and hunted at the zone 6 championship. Great turnout. Way to go guys.

We didn't accomplish all our goals but, as Tim says, I think they knew we were there. Ha! Ha!

Thanks Clyde. R.B. has been in three casts. He holds a first and a fourth place. He still has a ways to go to be a coon dog. We like the tools in his tool box. He improves each week. Shaun told us yesterday that he was going home with him. Stacy said she is getting attached to him. I think Dana is already attached to him. These crazy dogs. Needless to say R.B. is at Shauns. Lol

Gerald, Dan, and Brent, thanks so much. It's time for my family to get serious about high school football now. Our hunting will be temporarily cut back.

You don't owe me anything. We enjoyed helping. Cadence is a leggy dog. I like leggy hounds. He seems to be wired 440 too. I liked what I saw. I'm going to get up with Ryan and hunt with him one night. Ryan is a good guy. Good luck in the zone guys. Lance

Thanks for everything....yeah he is a little leggy and I like them like that too...and he is gonna be wired pretty hott cause he hasnt been out in a while , but Ryan said he about 2000 acres to let him burn off some energy...I told him he would need it cause Cadence dont wear out easy..lol..If you get the chance go hunt with him and let me know what you think good or bad..
