Hey everyone, just dropped in for a quick look, glad to see this thread is still going strong, I want to thank everyone that has had a hand in keeping it going, God is pleased with this thread. Satan knows that if you start to feel negatively about God, then he can have his way with you in other areas.

THE ROMANS ROAD!

The ROMANS ROAD....is a pathway to salvation.
It is a group of Bible verses from the book of Romans in the New Testament. If you follow this road you will end up understanding how to be saved.
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
We all have sin in our hearts. We all were born with sin. We were born under the power of sin's control. - Admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 6:23a "...The wages of sin is death..."
Sin has an ending. It results in death. We all face physical death, which is a result of sin. But a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity. The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever. It is the place where people who are spiritually dead will remain. - Understand that you deserve death for your sin.
Romans 6:23b "...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Salvation is a free gift from God to you! You can't earn this gift, but you must reach out and receive it. - Ask God to forgive you and save you.
Romans 5:8, "God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!"
When Jesus died on the cross He paid sin's penalty. He paid the price for all sin, and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on the cross, He bought us out of slavery to sin and death! The only condition is that we believe in Him and what He has done for us, understanding that we are now joined with Him, and that He is our life. He did all this because He loved us and gave Himself for us!
- Give your life to God... His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your only hope to have forgiveness and change. His love bought you out of being a slave to sin. His love is what saves you -- not religion, or church membership. God loves you!
Romans 10:13 "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!"

Jesus said,
Revelation 3:20a "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him..." - Is Jesus knocking on your heart's door?
Believe in Him. Ask Him to come in to your heart by faith, and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Open the Bible to the Gospel of John and read what God says about Jesus, about you, and about being born again.
God will help you. He loves you.
You need to look for a local church where God's word is preached. The Bible says that we are to desire God's word like a newborn baby desires mother's milk. Aren't you hungry to know the truth?
Water baptism is one of the ways you first show that you have been joined to Jesus. This is an action, and actions will not save you. However, it is an act of obedience and a symbol of commitment. The symbolism is this: When you go down in the water you show that You have been crucified and buried with Him,
And when you come up out of the water you show that you have been raised to walk with Him in newness of life. (See Romans chapter 6)
You have been born again. (See John chapter 3)
Your body has become God's temple. Your heart is where He lives.
Forgiveness is yours in Jesus. And you belong to Him.
You were sin's slave. But now...
You are a child of GOD!

Good afternoon ! Jesus's birthday is getin closer. I really like this time of year.It seems like the people that are BaaHumbug and act like ole Ebenezer Scrooge are even a little happyer this time of year.Theres a man down the road from me thats 84 yrs young that doesnt like anybody and no one likes him.but there is good in that man.This is about the only time of year he speaks to me alot most of the year its just hi and how ya doin but I am the only one that he lets hunt his property and he owns alot of it,I did ask him some time ago if he was saved and had a relationship with JESUS and he talked my ear off then.There was no doubt in my mind he knows and loves JESUS.I dont know if he will come but tomorrow Im gona ask him to come eat Christmas Dinner with me and my family. If you know someone like my neighbor ,Talk to them Jesus put good in everybody and you might get a surprize of how that Ole Ebenezer Scrooge will treat you.Show some love and Id bet some love will be showed to you ,,We better be getin on to the message for today. When He sent out His disciples, He told them to take nothing but a staff and the power of the Holy Spirit (Mark 6:7-9). He was put to death like a common criminal so that we could wear a royal robe!

Someone has well said that discouragement is a darkroom where the negatives of fear and failure are developed.

Some people are encouragers and others are discouragers. Have you ever met a discourager? They’re like a drink of water to a drowning man. They can brighten up a room by leaving it. They leave you drained and depressed.

But an encourager leaves you full and refreshed. God has cornered the market on encouragement. All encouragement comes from God. You’re never more like God than when you’re encouraging people and never more like the devil than when you are discouraging people.

Its a New Year,,Another new beginning, Another start over. The Good Lord saved Lot and his family. He told them not to look back,,,We all know the story..Lots wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. The Lord said look ahead. So dont worry about the past.The past is the past. We now can look forward to 2016.and you can make it the best ever,Its up to you.YOU are the one that can do that. Start the year out right ask JESUS CHRIST into your life and experience a Major Life Change..... Lets get to the messgae for today.... The Danger of Drifting


“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” - Hebrews 2:1

Life is like an ocean…a trackless ocean with winds, currents and waves. We’ll meet ships we never knew were on that ocean and we'll have all kinds of opportunities, heartaches, tears and fears as we sail into a new year on an uncharted sea.

Scholars tell us Hebrews 2:1 refers to the sea—the writer is using a nautical term. He must have spent time at sea, because the phrase “giving more earnest heed” and the word “slip” refer to bringing a ship into the harbor, a difficult and sometimes dangerous task. A ship never just drifts into the harbor. The most skillful part of being a sea pilot is bringing the ship into the harbor. "Let them slip" literally means drift away. You have to be careful when you enter the harbor that you don't end up on the rocks or drift past the harbor.

The worst thing that could happen to us this year is that we just drift through it—live an aimless life—letting this year “happen” to us rather than charting a course and getting into God's appointed harbor. The winds of worldliness, the tides of circumstance, and the currents of the old nature are determined to cause you to drift.

You will drift unless you decide not to drift. You must have an anchor. You need a fixed direction. It’s important, because drifting is one of the easiest things in the world to do. Our Security Is In The Lord Jesus Christ

Good Mornin! The river is geting down to its banks again.I cant ever remember the rivers geting like they were so much current, It broke leeves like they were nothing .Id never seen it like this. But the good thing was Jesus Christ took care of my house and everything around it,I had no lose's.,Im secure because I have Christ in my life. Now on to todays message. As we face the coming year, if the stock market goes down, what we have in Jesus Christ—eternal security, salvation, a relationship with the King of kings— is worth multiplied billions and more. Today some of you find that you are abased. You’re saying, “I can hardly make it until the next paycheck.”I know how you feel ,I have been in that position before too. Some of you are abounding. You have more than you ever thought or dreamed you’d have.God takes care of my needs everyday and has blessed me beyond belief. If you have that, I’m happy for you. See it as a gift from God and enjoy it, for the Bible says, “God takes pleasure in the prosperity of his servants.” It is the Lord who gives you the ability to get wealth. Thank God for it. Don’t be ashamed of it.

From his prison cell Paul says. “In Christ, I have a self-contained life. All that I need is in the Lord Jesus Christ. I don’t have to go outside of Him for contentment.”

If you have Jesus, friend, you have something wonderful. You are rich, regardless of what you may or may not have in the bank. Finding Contentment In Him

Hello Brothers and Sisters! Im workin on and want to make 2016 the best year of my life yet.Ya have to move and look forward. Ya cant dwell on the past,Theres nothing you can do to change it. But you do have control of today and can look at what might could be done tomorrow,If the Good Lord leaves you for another day and not take you home.If he takes me home to Heaven, Its very hard to be a Christian,I sin everyday of the week and dont deserve to be forgiven or given the things that GOD Bless's me with,But,,Im striveing to hear those words, { Well Done Good and Faithful Servent }. Lets get on to todays message Finding Contentment in Him

"Let your conversation be without covetousness, and be content with such things as you have." - Hebrews 13:5

If you would face a new year without fear, know the contentment of His provision. You say, “That’s just Christian-talk.” Well, I'll tell you this much. I would not sell the contentment I have in Jesus Christ for any price you could name. I am content in the Lord Jesus. That doesn't mean I'm satisfied with myself, but that along with the Apostle Paul I can say it gladly and surely: “I can do all things through Christ who is pouring His life into me,” and “I have learned that whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”

Doubt Is The Enemy of Imagination

Hello Its Friday ! Its been a good week,Were suppose to get our first snow fall of the year tomorrow.My granddaughter Sophie is just waitin to get out and play on the side by side in it .shes 8 years old now and I taught her to operate it this past summer and to be safe with it also. But Ole PawPaw will be there with her havin fun too. Lets get to the message for today before it starts to snow. Doubt Is the Enemy of Imagination
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” (James 1:5-7 NIV)

When you were a kid, you had a great imagination. But the older you get, the more your imagination grows rusty. You stop imagining what things could be, and you just start living the way they are. You get stuck in the status quo, which is Latin for “the mess we’re in.”

Doubt and fear neutralize what God wants to do in your life. It takes courage to imagine. Do you know why most people don’t imagine? Because they’re afraid of failure.

Courage is doing the thing you fear the most. If you’re not afraid, you don’t need courage. Courage is when you’re scared to death and you say, “I’m going to do it anyway.” I’m not about to let fear dominate my life. Courage is when you do the right thing while you are afraid. You may wonder, “Should I wait until all my doubts are gone?” But you have to move against your fears. You have to ignore all the insecurity you’re feeling and just go for it.

James 1:5-7 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord” (NIV).

Your imagination is either going to be governed by fear or it’s going to be governed by faith. That’s your choice. If you let your imagination be governed by fear, you’re going to go around being freaked out, stressed out, and worried all the time. When you allow fear to control your imagination, you live a miserable life.

Instead decide that you’re not going to allow fear to dominate. Let your faith dominate. Trust in God. Then you can move forward in faith and allow your imagination to be filled with all kinds of possibilities, because all things are possible with God.
What’s the big thing you believe God wants to do in your life but you’ve let doubt hold you back?
Would you be afraid to truly open your mind and life to every possibility of God? Why or why not?
When you ask God for something in prayer, why does he want you to believe in faith that he will answer? Im not scared of anything!Why ? “At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it; if that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.” - Jeremiah 18:7-8


God is saying here, “If you will repent of your sin, I will repent of the judgment I had planned.” That is a promise to every one of us today. Just because you may have failed in the past doesn’t mean that God is finished with you. Are you ready for some good news on the threshold of a new year? You can have a brand new start! There’s hope for you. Our God is the God of the second chance. Your life may be marred. Your life may have gotten off track because of some hidden sin or some stubbornness when you refused to yield to God. But He is saying , “I don’t hold grudges. I am the God of the second chance.”


This condition holds true for a life that is still pliable and gives God all the pieces. If your life is broken, give Him all the pieces, but do it while it is still pliable, and He can make another vessel out of you. Are you willing to do that? The Peril of a Life That Rebels

Thus saith the Lord, “Go and get a potter’s earthen bottle… Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that are with thee, and shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter’s vessel that cannot be made whole again….” “Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they hardened their necks, that they might not hear My words.” - Jeremiah 19:1, 10-11, 15

You can say, “Well, I’m not going to yield to God.” Then you are clay that is going to be hardened. There is peril in a life that rebels against God. Some vessels when they hear about hidden impurities and stubborn resistance will be broken and say, “Here I am Lord, I yield myself to you. I repent. Take me, make me, mold me. Give me a new start.”

Or you can say, “It’s my life. I’m going to live it the way I want to live it. I’m not going to yield.” That is your privilege. But if you do that, you’re going to be hardened in that position, and once the clay is hardened, the Potter cannot remold it. 2 Corinthians 5:19-20
