Finally Home

Well, I just got home from traveling 1400 miles since thursday morning. Thanks to John for putting me up thursday night and taking me hunting even though he knew the coon were not going to move because of the snow. Thanks to mark for meeting me last night and bringing the Haze/Katie pups over. The pups are doing well. Will post some pics later.

bo and pigeon could be #1s before its all said and done when i made this cross i thought we would get some top reproducers lined up but wow

Which one is L's Moonlight Dominator? I see that they both have a little "Haze" on their chest. MWM, what do all of those #'s mean? Do they mean that Mater will be a reproducer?

They are already getting feisty Tom. They have good actions so far. It won't be long and it will be time to see how they react to a live coon. Once our deer season is over then I will start taking them for some walks in the woods across the street. May have to put tracking collars on them by then...

MWM 531, I got my new Coonhound Bloodlines yesterday. You are going to have to change your #'s. Haze is now out of the Historical #3 male and current #1 female! As soon as his #100th pup is registered, he will be on the list also. Bell and Bo are the only ones that were not #1 at one time and Bo will get there before long. I can't believe that #5 was as high as Bell got. Mater and Tater can be very proud of their ancestors. I just hope that their ancestors will be proud of them.

So, Haze is the product of a 1/2 brother/sister cross and Katie is also a product of a 1/2 brother/sister cross. Haze has Bomber X Bell twice and Katie has the famous #1 of all time Kate twice. I guess that makes Mater and Tater outcrosses from two line bred hounds. I wonder if they will be more like Haze, Rabble, Pigeon or Kate, Lil Pepper, Bo. I guess that you can't go wrong either way. Mark, does Katie have any brothers/sisters that are being put in competition hunts yet?

there was six females in katies litter no males there is one ntch one with a first as far as i know they all tree coons

Mark, I have been keeping up with Eve's progress through Pm's. I hope that Mater does just as well. How about if I breed Mater back to Big D on down the road? Will that be too much Kate? Then I could breed one of those females to Tom Tom or one of the males to Chick or Sheba. Or we could breed one of the pups out of Sheba X ?? to Mater or Tater. We would have Haze X Kate on the top and bottom, Oh My Goodness!

Kids New Experience

These are some of my youth. Joey, Ben, Jesse, Becca, Jenna, Rachael, Lucas, Robbie and Cole. These are great young men and women.

This was their first trip to the woods to go coonhunting. I'm glad the Frog Dawg was able to show them the meat.
