The Hidden Cupboard

Good mornin all ! Its a bright sunny mornin here in the bottoms. The high water is still here in the fields behind the house and its frozen solid,But what a pretty work of GOD the sun is reflecting off of it and what a beautiful site to look at..Well lets get goin to the message for today The Hidden Cupboard

“Search me O God and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts. See if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” - Psalm 139:23-24
I read the following story in a book the other day and thought this would be a good one one to pass on to you readers of this post..
F. B. Meyer was one of the greatest Christian writers of the centuries. As a pastor, Meyer was successful, but not as he ought to have been. He had two friends, Charles Studd and Hudson Taylor, great men in the history of the church. They seemed to have victory day by day—joy and power in their lives. Meyer watched them. One day he went to Studd and said, “You have joy in your life that I don’t have.” Studd said, “There is nothing I have that you can’t have. Have you given everything to God?”

Meyer went back to his room that night and began to pray. In his heart there had been something he did not want to yield to the Lord. It seemed like a small thing, but it was standing between him and victory. He wrestled with God that night until finally he came to the place where he had to do something. He took a bunch of keys out of his pocket and said, “Lord here it is. This key ring represents my life. I give it over to you.” And he said, “It seemed as if the Lord said to me, ‘Are all the keys there?’ ‘Yes Lord, they’re all there except one small key, a key to a little cupboard. But it’s just one little key.’ The Lord handed the keys back and started to walk out the door. I said, ‘Wait Lord. Don’t go. Here’s that key. I don’t believe I can give it to you, but I will hold it out. Please take it.’ The Lord took those keys, every one of them, and went into that cupboard and began to do a work, and my life was transformed.’”

Is there some little key like that in your life? Some little cupboard where you say, “Lord, you can be Lord of all—except this.” Have you yielded? If we havent gave everything to the LORD,I mean every little tiny thing,We are gona be missing something we are not gona have all that GOD will give. When we give our lives to JESUS ,He knows if we have held something back .He knows everything,. So if you are holding that one tiny key ,Give it to HIM,Jesus Christ ...God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ.,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron,,,.. My Prayer today is that you give the LORD that key you have in your pocket...See yas tomorrow if the Lords willin

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

The Changing Life

Good Friday ! The weekend is here once again. Its suppose to get down to 5 degrees tonight ,,WOW ! Throw another log on the fire. I know im getin old because id rather sit in my recliner snuggled up in a blanket and watchin a good movie on a Friday night. Lets go to the message for today The Changed Life

“The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” - 2 Peter 2:22

An unsaved person can sit in church, sing in the choir, and sound holy and righteous. But as soon as he’s back in the world, he’ll return to the sordid, old sin he enjoyed before.
Peter likens the unsaved religious person to a dog and a pig. You can scrub him clean, brush his teeth, and dress him in a pink ribbon; but he will go right back into the mire. A scrubbing on the outside doesn't change his inner nature. The dog may feel better, and the pig may look better; but neither has been changed.

But a person who comes to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior is changed. He does not want the same things anymore. He does not live the same way anymore. He has been born again into a new life.

What has changed in your life since you came to know the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you different? The Bible says when we are “in Christ,” we become new creatures—for the old has passed away, and all things have become new. Have you experienced that? Then thank Him today! God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ...Prayers sent for all

What does JESUS Want ?

Hello All,,,Heres some good reading,,Enjoy Today many people accept the fact that a man named Jesus Christ really did live and die in the first century. Many also acknowledge that He was and continues to be the Son of God. If you accept these fundamental principles, you're doing well, but there is much more to understand and do.
As James explains: “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?” (James 2:19-20).
So what does Jesus expect from us if we claim to truly follow Him? Let's look at seven areas:

In Luke 6:46-49 Jesus placed the emphasis on action, on “doing,” by saying it was vain to call Him Lord while not following His instruction. Following His directives and commands is likened to building a house on a solid foundation. It will root and ground a person against the wind and waves that life throws our way.
Jesus warned that recognizing Him as Lord and even doing great things will not get a person into God's Kingdom (see Matthew 7:21-23). He emphasized living by God's instructions—doing “the will of My Father in heaven.”
So while it is vital to acknowledge Jesus as Lord, Jesus' own words tell us it is also vitally important to live according to His teachings, which He said came from the Father (John 7:16).
2. Worship in spirit and truth
When talking with the Samaritan woman by the well, Jesus directed worship toward God the Father, saying the time had come for true worshippers to “worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” (John 4:23).
Those words are very similar to what Jesus' namesake, the Old Testament Joshua, said to ancient Israel near the end of his life in the Promised Land. In Joshua 24:14 he reminded Israel that they were to “fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth.” We get the picture from both testaments that truth and sincerity are both vitally important in true worship of God. Just any form of belief and worship won't do. It must be sincere as well as biblically accurate.

3. Church attendance

God also expects us to show up when He commands a meeting, which He does each Sabbath. God said the Sabbath is a holy, commanded assembly (convocation) where attendance by His people is required (Leviticus 23:3).

How seriously you take that command says a lot about how sincere you are in your worship.

Luke 4:16 tells us it was Jesus' custom (His regular practice) to gather in the synagogue every Sabbath to appear before God. The book of Acts shows Paul attending services every Sabbath (Acts 18:4) to discuss God's way of life with both Jews and gentiles.

4. Regular prayer and study

Jesus was a praying man while in the flesh. Read any of the Gospel accounts and you will run across numerous passages that mention His going off by Himself to pray. And He expects His followers to imitate His example. In the Sermon on the Mount, He said “when” you pray—not “if” you pray (Matthew 6:6). Paul admonished us to pray without ceasing—never giving it up (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

The people of the town of Berea were praised for their daily study of the Scriptures (Acts 17:11) as they sought to learn more about the way of life Paul was preaching and living. Jesus wants us to be in regular contact with Him through prayer and to study His written words of life in the Bible.
5. Tithing
Jesus also wants us to put our money where our mouth is, so to speak. The Gospel writers record His speaking about money on many occasions. Some Bible reference books even say He spoke more about money than any other subject.
He said to lay up treasure in heaven, because where you put your money is where your heart really is (Matthew 6:20-21). He warned against covetousness—wanting to hold onto every dime or dollar we have—saying a misplaced focus on material goods can cost us our eternal life (Luke 12:15; Mark 8:36).
Paul also taught that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil that can spiritually drown a person (1 Timothy 6:9-10). The means of support for God's work that He consistently teaches in the Bible is tithing—giving a tenth of our increase to His representatives—along with offerings (Malachi 3:8-10).
6. Service to others
The reason Jesus came in the flesh was for the benefit of others—so human beings could have their sins forgiven through the sacrifice of His perfect life. Jesus drew attention to that fact when the disciples began to worry about who was going to get the highest position of honor in the Kingdom. He told them that if they really wanted to be great, they should serve others —just as He came not to be served but to serve humanity by giving His life for all (Mark 10:42-45).

This lesson was not lost on Paul either, as he told the churches in Galatia that they needed to express their love by serving others (Galatians 5:13).

What does Jesus want from you? For you to use every opportunity you have to do good for others—to serve them. He tells us that if we do something good to the least of our fellow Christians, it's as though we have done it to Him personally (Matthew 25:40).
7. Change
Perhaps the greatest desire Jesus has for us is that we continually examine our lives in humility before Him and change those areas that don't agree with the instructions of the Bible.
The Bible includes many words that describe aspects of that process— repentance, conversion, spiritual growth, etc. We should take note that the first message Jesus taught when He began His ministry here on earth was that people need to repent (Matthew 4:17).
It takes an attitude of humility to be willing to admit where we don't measure up to God's standards and to change. In Revelation 2 and 3 the messages to the churches all include references to overcoming. That means changing areas in our lives that do not look like Jesus. That process must continue until we are completely like Him, changed into spirit (1 John 3:2-3).
Another servant of God summed up our duty this way: “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8).
What a concise way to sum up what Jesus wants from you—and me and everyone who eventually comes to Him! We're to do justly—to live by all of God's commands. We're to love mercy—giving it freely to others just like He does to us, realizing that if we don't forgive others, we will not be forgiven ourselves (Matthew 6:15). And we're to walk humbly with our God—looking carefully at our lives to see if we're following His instructions. Ecclesiastes 12:13 adds that fearing God and keeping His commandments is our whole duty.
Worshipping God in spirit and truth, attending church services regularly, praying, studying, serving others, tithing and changing to become like Jesus are the things He asks of each of us.
What He wants to give us
These are the high points of what Jesus Christ expects from us. But what does He want to give us in return?

The Scriptures tell us Jesus came to earth as part of God's plan to invite human beings to live forever as members of His family (John 1:12; Hebrews 2:10).
To comprehend the significance of this offer, we need only think of how limited we are by time. As human beings, we all enjoy the pleasures and joys of life—friends, food, meaningful work, nice things, etc. But all of these things come to an end. Meals are over, jobs end, parties come to a conclusion, and we all eventually die when this lifetime is over.

God's offer to us is that we can experience happy, meaningful life forever in His Kingdom! This is an experience you certainly don't want to miss! God Loves Yas,,,We Love Yas,,Have a Blessed Day From The

Praying For What God Has Already Promised

Hello! Its so cold outside,Its not even fun to be out there. Keepwarm .Lets geteron to the message for today Praying for What God Has Already Promised

“…I, Daniel, understood…by the word of the Lordthrough Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications…” - Daniel 9:2-3
God had prophesied that He was going to do something, but still Daniel prayed. Why didn’t Daniel just sit back and say, “Well, God, since You prophesied that You’re going to do it, then, ha-ha-ha, there’s no need for me to pray about it”?
It’s a strange thing—the Bible teaches us to pray about what God has already promised He would do.
Revelation 11:15 says, “The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.” Yet Jesus taught us to pray “Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done…”
The Bible teaches there’s going to be peace in Jerusalem, yet Psalm 122:6 tells us to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”
Jesus Christ is going to come again. (Revelation 22:20) Then John prays, “Even so, Come, Lord Jesus.” It is prophesied, yet we’re told to pray it will happen.
Even when God says He’s going to do something, God does what He’s going to do through the prayers of His people. God wants us to have a part in bringing about His will upon this earth through prayer. The Prayer That Makes God Angry

Good Mornin ! The snow is on its way. 4 to 6 inchs and very cold ,Time to get out the snow shovel. I got a snow plow for the side by side so things might just be a little easyer. Lets go to the message for this day before the snow starts. The Prayer that Makes God Angry

“And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession…We have sinned, and committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Thy precepts and from Thy judgments.” - Daniel 9:4-5

Daniel’s prayer here is not the prayer that makes God angry. Some people think “If we just pray, God will hear our prayer.” My dear friend, it is not so. Prayers of a wicked people anger God. They make the matter worse. It’s an affront to God.

The Bible says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me” (Psalm 66:18). “The LORD is far from the wicked: but He heareth the prayer of the righteous” (Proverbs 15:29). Again, God says, “He that turns away his ear from the hearing of the law, his prayer shall be an abomination” (Proverbs 28:9). Prayer could actually become an abomination to God. The psalmist said, “Lord, how long will you be angry at the prayers of your people?”
Have you ever thought that a prayer of yours, rather than enlisting God’s mercy, might stir up God’s anger? Nothing angers God more than for a people stuffed full of sin and self to be imploring God to do something good for them when they stand in need of judgment. Confessed sin will be forgiven, but it must be confessed. “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” So we must confess those sin...God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,from The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayer for all.Need Prayer ? Just let us know ...

You May Have All of God That You Wan

Good Mornin ! Im sure some of you reading this has a couple feet of snow on the ground. The good Lord gave the east coast a lot of snow for some reason . I know the kids like it..We had snow last week and me and my granddaughter sure had fun in it . Lets get on to the message for this day.
You May Have All of God that You Want
"He that loveth silver shall never be satisfied with silver." - Ecclesiastes 5:10

We live in a day that has confused luxuries and necessities. Material things can never bring contentment, for they can never satisfy the deepest need of your heart. Either you can't get enough of them, or when you get them, you find out they don't meet your need.

Do you remember the story of the little boy who loved pancakes? One day his mother thought she would satisfy him, so she decided she would cook all the pancakes he wanted. He ate the first ones with relish and the second plate—if not with relish, at least with delight. He ate more, and then some more, and she just kept cooking them. Finally she asked, "Johnny, do you want another pancake?" He said, "No ma’am. I don't even want the ones I've already had."

Now that's the way it is with silver. “He that loveth silver shall never be satisfied with silver.” When you get it all, it doesn't satisfy, and you want more.

This round world will never fit into your three-cornered heart. There is nothing wrong with material things; they just cannot satisfy the deepest longing of your heart. Your deepest needs will never be met by material things, only by the living God. I don’t know how much of God you have, but you may have all of God that you want. We all need as much God as we can get...God Loves Yas,,,We Love Yas,,,Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom ,,,Ron..Prayers for you all.

What Your Heart Really Longs For

Its a great day! The Lord once again woke us up and is walking with us where ever we go. That is good to know.Lets get on to the message for today. What Your Heart Really Longs For

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart." - Psalm 37:4

This verse doesn't mean you'll have every whim and fancy met—that you can have an island paradise somewhere, a pink Cadillac, or a handful of diamonds. It means when you delight yourself in the Lord, what your heart has really been seeking for, it will find. What your heart really yearns for is God. Only Jesus can meet the deepest needs of your heart.God wants us to have and do things, The things that we like to do ,like Bowling,Golfing,Raceing cars,Playing baseball, football, coonhunting , We could go on and on adding to this list. But the thing to remember is,{ Dont put these things ahead of our LORD ,JESUS CHRIST .He should be number one in our lives ,with him being number one ,everything else will fall into place to enjoy all these different things that we all like to do

Do you know why so often we live in fear? Because we think our needs are not going to be met. Or because we think the things we believe are meeting our needs are going to be taken away from us. This verse tells us God will never leave us nor forsake us, and godliness with contentment is great gain. We have something that can't be tampered with.

Suppose someone were to go into your house and carry out all your material possessions. Could you still praise the Lord? If your delight is in the Lord, you could! Sometimes we would go out after the storm, and the thing we tied down was gone and the thing we tied it to was gone!

Friend, you’d better be tied to Jesus. He won’t blow away. Where is your hope? Where is your security? What have you anchored your hope to? I hope it’s in the solid rock, the Lord Jesus Christ. Gods G.P.S.

Good afternoon! God Loves Yas and so do I God’s GPS
“The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice…” Proverbs 12:15
Think
Have you ever asked yourself “how the heck did I get here”? The path for our lives can get a little blurry at times. We can get caught up in pursuing our own dreams rather than God’s plan. When we do that, we get off track. If we do not train ourselves to “listen” to His voice, to His direction in our lives, we will find ourselves “off the map”, so to speak.
Thankfully, God has given us a G.P.S. to get us back on track. It’s His “.Guiding Pastoral Services”. God puts pastors, leaders, and others in our lives, and He expects us to listen, trust and obey Him, and He will reveal the way.
What has the direction of your “G.P.S” been in your life? Remember, listening starts in the heart, not with your ears.
Pray
Ask God to be the master of your life, and to show you what His plans are for you. Ask Him to take all the dreams He has for you, and make them the desires of your own heart. Ask God to help you listen, trust, and obey Him and so that you can discover His way.
Act
Lay aside any pride that is hindering you from listening to the right directions. Determine yourself to spend more time reading the word of God and seeking His counsel, rather than the counsel of fools. Challenge yourself to spend time with Him when you wake up and before you go to sleep at night. Read Proverbs 12:15 and Proverbs 13:20. 1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived, the things God has prepared for those who love him".

Between Two Mountains

Good Mornin! Its gona get up to 65 degrees here in the riverbottoms today.Whats up with this crazy weather. We will see what this month of winter brings. For now lets geteron to the message for today. Between Two Mountains

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…“ - Psalm 23:4

“… I lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.” - Psalm 121:1

In Psalm 23, David speaks of walking in “the valley.” But there can be no valley without moun_tains, true? Psalm 23 is the “valley psalm” between two “mountain psalms,” Psalm 22 and 24. Psalm 22 deals with the crucifixion of the Messiah. Psalm 24 deals with the coronation of the Messiah and the Second Coming. So, in the valley of Psalm 23, on one side are the blood-drenched slopes of Mount Calvary and on the other are the sunlit peaks of Mount Zion.

Are you down in the valley? Then look to the mountains. Praise Him for dying for you and rejoice in the hope of His coming again! Thank God we can say with David, “…I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills….” Keep yer head up,Always lookin for CHRIST. Its getin so close to his return. We do not know the day or hour our LORD said that we would not know,So I hope all of yous that are reading this is ready for when he does return..God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,from The Riverbottom,,,Ron...Prayers sent for you all
