I`m just getting in.Rance Winn,Tom Jennings came up for a hunt tonight and we seen some good work out of Legend`s Image.Image is out of Lou and Legend and has a real mouth on him.Rnace`s Foxy female looked pretty good and I took Country and King the last round king is a littermate to Legend he sure did a nice job.he needs more timber time and he will be real nice.I want to Thank Rance for coming up to hunt with our hounds.I think he had a good time and his female looked good to.

Hey Matt, good to hear yourself, Tom, & Rance got out & hit it a lick last night. Rance is a super nice young man, Tom & yourself sure will treat a person right as well. I would say you guys had a blast & probably even treed one or two of those old woodlot coons! Does that old Jennings outlaw still have that hunting buggy? I need to get back up that way & take a hunt with you guys again. I always enjoy myself & the good dog work.

It was good seeing so many friends at Bluetick Days.I took Country and hunted him in the senior division and he scored 375 plus no minus and he had some circle trees.he went about 3/4 of a mile and treed one at the end of the hunt it looked to be a big coon,it would have been nice to score it too.we hunted 2 hours in the same spot .it would have been nice to move onto a couple new spots to get a better score but it all worked out well and we did get our picture took.I hunted him friday night and lets just say neither him or I was on top of our handling and hunting skills!!!
Good to be home and return some of the phone calls.now its time to get some fish in the freezer.I`ll be talking to you all and i do have some nice young hounds I`m gonna let go.first here with money in hand will get first pick.pm or call for prices.

I took a hunt with Legends brother tonight , KING
He is a pretty nice hound he treed four times and country treed three times split,we looked at four coon and three dens and one slick tree.I think with some timber time King could be extra special like his brother.

Hey Matt, the pups are doing good, I did loose a male pup though, but the rest are good and healthy. I hunted Slew last night, caught one on the ground, put one in a hole, and brought a coyote out for me the last drop. It was sure an eventful night!

Mike here is what his three generation looks like.I think it looks pretty impressive.I know he suits me real well for a young hound.he`s not perfect by no means, just a good solid cooner.sounds like Slew is a gamer thats for sure.keep hunting him he may forget about the yotes.LOL who started him on that trash anyway.LOL take care & good luck with your pups.

Hey Matt

What did you do at the hunt Saturday night.

I lost my cast with 400+ by 25 pts (Nt CH) I can't call the dog very well. he had first strike 3x and 2 splits 125+ and i still lost. we saw 4 or 5 coon. I got 150 minus in a pond. just one bad night.

Dan,its a fun hunt any minus will cost the cast.I didn`t hunt saturday.I came home and enjoyed the evening with my wife.i enjoyed talking to everyone.I finally seen Jim Bartley`s female that were going to A.I. to Ellis Blue Jim semen.I think this willl be a good cross,she has a lot of True Boy breeding and Harry Darby breeding in her.take care.

She needs about 1 month in the timber by herself she does good has split and had the coon when I was hunting her hard .she does good.
Shane, this will be a good cross alot of good ol blood here only time will tell.Legend`s pups are looking good and sound good to.its hard not breeding Lou to Country to see how his pups act and look,I think he would cross good on her.I seen where you called,i`ll return your call soon.

Hey Matt, I had some coyotes after our calves sunday morning, Slew and Ol' Duke made one of them regret it! They caught this one in short order, I got into the bay and the coyote broke, I was able to put a round from a .22 pistol into him and the hounds finished the deal. Let me tell you, this stinger x jim's fly cross has some serious track speed with grit to spare! The Slew and Diamond pups are doing well, their 2 weeks old today, ended up with 8, 6 females, 2 males. Take care, Mike

Mike,good to see your still training your game hound Slew, MR.All PURPOSE.LOL good seeing hair in their mouth.I know Stinger has thrown some very nice hounds,I just knew they would be able to drive a track and it just took a little time to tell if he was going to reproduce the right kind,i`m glad your doing something with your`s.you have a nice litter of pups what do you have left forsale?this cross should be awesome and be real reproducers themselves.
I have about 40 more gills to finish then to the freezer.i`m off all next week more bluegill fishing.i hope the weather is good.

What is Duke out of?

Matt, Duke is an old grade english, he's a nice hound though, will run anything you drop him on, just the way I like'em!LOL I have 3 females spoken for, maybe more, I need to make some calls.

Good Job on the gills, the walleye are starting to bite good here, I have to get out on the water this weekend, I finally got the pontoon boat in the water. You need to get up here one of these years and do some fishing, I think you'd be happy with the walleye fishing here. Mike

They both look good.I`ve been getting good reports on every cross I made last year.I`m excited seeing and hearing from everybody about their young hounds,it won`t be long they will be hitting the hunts and running big game with their hounds.it good to see they are making nice hounds on what ever they are being used on.good luck,i`ve been hitting a few parties and fishing a little.this heat has slowed the fishing down for me.

hi matt it was good talking to you yesterday. i'm happy to hear country is really doing a great job for you. i hunted scout again this morning treed another coon. she looked good. i might have her spoiled before bear hunting starts if this keeps up. i'm planning on fishing this afternoon. good hunting. dennis
