Dave, show her how it's done. She just needs a lil "training". One of Boone's offspring won high scoring female on Sat night and would have won on Thursday night if her handler didn't get scratched for squalling too soon.

Your are right Richard Fancy was under both Coons we scored on Thursday night. She had one with another dog and treed one by herself, but her handler blew the sqauller for a couple seconds within the first two minutes and got scratched. She was also under both Coons scored in Friday nights cast as well but got to the tree by a faster Walker dog. She looked good on Saturday scoring the first coon by her self and then taking first tree on the second one and second tree on the third one. Not bad for a female getting ready to have puppies in two weeks.

Also you must have forgot in your old age...... a big congrats to Brent Weatherford and his Hope female for finishing her to Nt Ch. He won two cast on Friday and Saturday finishing her to this title. Hope is out of Boone X Annie. Great job buddy!!!

Fancy is a good one. As handlers, we all make mistakes that cost our dogs a cast win once in awhile. It's never easy to scratch your own dog for a mistake that isn't the dogs fault....but such things are what builds character and gains the respect of others....and your actions did both.
I found myself in a similar situation Saturday night and although many would have let it slide the way the situation unfolded....I couldn't do it so my hunt ended about 20 minutes in and I just went on to spectate the rest of the cast as they treed several more coons that I wish mine had the opportunity to have treed on. I've hunted with Fancy and her mother and father many times, so it's not surprising to me the kind of dog she is. Good luck on her upcoming litter....im going to predict some BIG winners come out of that cross!

The mighty Clifford is showing some serious independence. in the last two outings he's going off on his own away from dogs that are treed. He's not been impressed by any of the blueticks he's been hunting with, so he's going on to try his own thing.

Oh my goodness, Boone is now a Grandpaw X 2. I must really be getting old. Two of the females from his oldest litter have now had pups, Nt Ch Whizz Bang and Gr Nt Ch Fancy.

Boone is a pretty proud grandpa of 5 healthy puppies this morning. Fancy and the pups are doing good. Hopefully they all will survive. Looking forward to this cross.

Clifford had an exciting night.

His handler pulled a "Blake" and lost reception on the collar. (it went dead) Not sure what he did for an hour, but he sure wasn't standing around looking for me.

Ol Boone and Garrett put on a show last night at a $KC hunt. They both did a great job. Boone had 3 first trees in an hour hunt. Congrats to Garrett and Boone.
