Corn looks wonderful, tall enough to conceal the dogs now. All the rain I got was a few sprinkles, everything went around me still very dark to the North.
We got 265 bales of hay made, it was a beautiful day for it. Some forecasts r calling for rain tomorrow, all of them I ckd r calling for it on Thursday. We need it, had to haul water for the garden twice.
Sayings here are: "corn should be knee high (or hide a crow) by the 4th of July."
Knee high by the 4th of July.
Heard that as a kid in the 70's & 80's, anymore it'seems 6ft high & about to tassle out by the 4th.
Grace is 24" at her shoulder & the corn is past her head now. We were watching the system drop little funnels to the North. Right now there is a cell blowing up to the Southwest moving in, so I might get some rain.
Geez....that is nice corn. Nothing that tall around here. The hay we just put in today was mostly orchard grass. We saw two does walk into it just a day or 2 before we mowed it and it was over their heads.
looks like rain here this morning but not holding out much hope for getting much....

It sprinkled here for about 10 minutes, we waited it out and went fishing off Nebraska bridge. Caught a few small perch and a couple of sticks. Suppose to get more rain this afternoon and tomorrow then have a nice wknd.
looks like a dandy of a thunderstorm headed my way....
