I'm jealous. When I got up for work at 3:30 it was a tad chilly that changed shortly after the sun came up.

Just about 6pm here & my phone says 95°, the girls slipped into the corn to go check out the timbers.

Thumbs up

4/10's yesterday &1/2" today, that looks like some of our early planted corn,it seems like this hot weather makes this corn jump an inch or more every day,but the late corn will take a while to catch up.Been seein' hit road coons but no kittens yet on the road. That storm that went threw had a bunch of wind some corn was bent over.

Dusty one today, the driveway is a quarter mile long rarely get dust this far.. Should water the garden but eh let the root systems go deeper. Took one dog into the vet for shots, then ran to work for a doughnut for her & a beer for me.

Hay here goes for whatever they can get u to pay for it I think most my friends pay between $3.50 - $4.00 a bale for grass hay. One friend said her hay guy called her about a month ago wanting to sell 500 bales of last yrs hay to make room for this yrs. She pd $3.75 last yr and he wanted $3.50/bale for what he had left over. Then he told her he might raise his price to $4 for this yrs hay.
Gave Jas a bath today, the plan is to ride at a dice run on Saturday. Normally I would leave tomorrow and camp 2 nights, but might go fishing tomorrow and have to go to a graduation party on Sunday.

That ain't a bad price,a few years back really good alfalfa hay was bringin' as high as $11.00 a bale,I never bought any, back when I used to have hay the best I ever got was $2.00. Well I reckon the P.C. crap has hit Wriggly field, today is the start of no tobacco for players or fans, but I'll bet if your a homo you can hold hands & kiss

Where's the pull in PA?
There are quite a few farmers in this area so that probably helps to keep hay prices down.
We spent 7 hrs in the boat today. 4 of us caught over 120 fish.
We buy cigars in NY at reservation smoke shops. 2 cartons for $10. I only smoke the if the bugs are bad..
Hope everyone has a good wkend. Going riding tomorrow and to great neices graduation party on Sunday.

Yep ,she's up to 90 here ,air quality is bad today and that makes it rough with someone who has breathing issues .

I finished patchin' a road today we were workin' on most of the week, nice cool breeze till around 10:00 then the patch got warm & easy to work with but the heat was on,if not for that N.W. breeze I might of pooped out, came home & mowed the yard & done.

Working in the asphalt patching can get hot fast in this weather.

Rode for 5 hrs today at the dice run. No one in our group won anything : ( . But we had a good meal: 1/2 a bbq chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans, watermelon, ice cream, water and pop.
Talked to a few people about hay today, they're paying $3_$4/bale. We use to sell hay for 50 cents a bale. Then when we moved here, we bought it for that. After a couple of yrs, the price went to $1.40/bale and Chuck said we'll make r own. Had to get all the equipment, but most was used from friends and family so we didn't have much $ invested...until we had to replace some of it.
My friend lives in Washington Co. Not sure if she goes to the pulls there, we've went up here together.
