Well......it was a handler error.....actually I screwed up two times in calling Frog......but the biggie that really hurt, was the tree that I voted to minus (frog was there too)and the guide voted to minus and the judge and blue dog owner voted to circle due to a small clump of leaves in the tree next to the slick the dogs were treeing on......there was no coon there. so that one hurt but we voted and that is the way it turned out. we had a good cast, no arguing or anything.

It was good to see friends and to meet some folks that we had talked to on the phone but had never met in person. That was cool.

Congrats to all that put a red dog out there at the Grand American.

Pastor Mike, the Haze offspring that I hunted this weekend sure is looking good. We could not get on a good track, though. You know, that more nose than experience thing again. She is going to be a big winner one day. Just remember that you heard it here first. I can't believe that more people aren't breeding to Haze. I talked to the weatherman and he said that this was going to be a great week for pup training!

Took lacey out in the rain with fritz last night rising temptures and thick fog , started with a couple old crappie tracks, loaded up for one more drop= 3 hours and right at a mile away they came treed with the meat "very hard long slow track" fritz gave it up twice but ole lacey kept putting it back together "man what a nose" and a boomin mouth to boot .

Was well worth getting wet.

That's good Keith. I hope you gave it to them... She will make a real nice dog.

We took a few haze pups to national forest last night. 2 five month olds and frog. Made a den to start off with...this was the pups first time in the woods at night, they got on the tree with frog and smelled and barked a few times. they didn't know what to think of her barking.......it was kind of funny.

Pulled Frog off and turned again on up the ridge. Frog stayed gone for an hour and hunted the crap out of big area and never made a bark. It's the best she has ever hunted by herself.....just a shame she never got struck up in there. The pups started getting tired on the way back to the truck and were wanting to sit down. they did good, didn't get sick in the box or anything.

It looks to me like Mater is trying to get you up for one more drop. What in the world is Pastor Mike feeding those pups? I can see right now that I will have to put her on a diet when I get her home.

Feeding them Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete.....they like it pretty good. They get their fill for sure. They eat about 3.5 - 4 cups a day and that's it.......they are fat, slick and healthy.

Hey Richard......you need to come early and come to the house and see these Moose/Jenny pups. They are going to be pretty good size I believe. Nice pups. Plus, you need to be introduced to Mater before we take her to the cabin.....I want her to know you before we turn her loose over there....

What a great weekend at the cabin. Let the two Haze/Katie pups run loose all weekend......did them some good. Maybe Linkous will put a couple of pics on here of those two treeing on drag that we made for them.
