When I came back from Vietnam I was stationed at FT Rucker,Al. I lived off post, so I could hunt every night. I hunted a lot with Charles Duty, Ed Parker,and Lamar Williford. My Mo female looked pretty good in those swamps and beaver ponds. She would have been John's GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT Grand Mother, CH GR NT CH PR Mad-Dog Lucky. I know what you mean about the country and the type of dog that it takes to tree coon on a regular basis. Good luck with your dogs......Tim

Hunt

Just got back from Ok, took a hunt with Matt Davis (BLUE STYLE) We hunted along the Cimmaron River and adjoining area. Had a Good hunt and Matt's Snowman looked real good getting off by himself and having the meat. I picked up a young female that is out of Snowmans littermate ( I think) Matt is going to send me her papers. Enjoyed myself and am looking for a return trip in the near future........Tim

I enjoyed the hunt tim, coon werent movin but it was still an enjoyable hunt...I am gonna have to come up there and get in your thick coon you have told me about...hope shotsie works out for ya....

Didn't do any good.....had a P-POOR guide.....Had an enjoyable hunt with Charles Wyatt tho. Cleo treed a coon about 5 min after the hunt was over. It was so thick that we had to crawl into the tree. Charles had his pocket knife out cutting Blackberrys, grape vines and barbwire vines. It took a good half hour to get to her..will give it another try tonight.......Tim

Hunt

Had a real good hunt with Jake Eckels last night. Jakes young blue male Zack got two coon by himself and ole Zip got off and got two by himself. I only beat jake by 50 points. Jakes Zack dog is a real nice young dog out of Gary Uchtmans Zeb dog(I think) I do know that Zack is a littermate to Troy Youngs Thorn dog( GR CH NT CH , with 4 NT CH wins). These boys hunt my kind of dog, independent treedogs..........Tim

Mad-Dog congrat's on another win on Zip, well do you need two more or just one now? Never been with the hound but sounds like a dandy. As for Jacob Eckles, he is a huntin fool, Jake always seems to be packing a hound! Can't wait to hunt with his hound as well. I am back in the saddle now, I am trying to tune up my Boomerrang dog so he can at least keep up in a hunt...ha! If your in Fayette next weekend we will see ya there!

Hunts

Had a good hunt Tues night with Vincent Hines (Minn) and Doug Linn (California transplant to Mo) Took Zip and Cleo made three turnouts, three trees and looked at the meat.

Had a good hunt Wed with John Yoder and his hunting pardner, we turned loose 3 times and the dogs looked good, we made two split trees and two trees together. Just about got Cleo and Zip ready for the Qualiifer at Clinton this weekend.
