Chris, just wanted to let you know that me and a buddy of mine come up and got that nice little female out of Bo and Roxanne. For 5 months she is dynamite. we're very impressed with what she does and she will be hunted just the same as she would of before this. I look forward to some day hunting with BO and I will definetely be looking to get another BO pup in the future.!!

Chris

I can tell you that when Rick Tomter sold Oxy to Warren it was to include two female pups. The pups had changed hands a couple times on their way to Wis.When they got here there was some noticable difference in size, not a lot but we often wondered about that. Also the Cricket female did not look like a dog out of that cross should look but you get throw backs to other generations so that is what we figured.I am sorry for what ever h
appened then.It has to be a bit of a let down,Ican only imagine!!

May the guilty party rot in h--l!!!!!!

Mr Cahoy

Still have Zip and some dogs out of her.I have Dual Gr.ch.Lumber and Mindy's last chance.Todd has Sophi and Emmy in Iowa as well as several young dogs.Zip is getting some age on her but she sure looks good.

Guys just to let some info in on the subject.I went to Michigan with Warren,When we got there we put Oxy and Crazy in the pen.We hunted for 4 nights while we were there. They said that both females were bred to Spanky, and they signed the papers. The female were never around another male while they were enroute to or from Jerry and Jacks house nor were they put with one when we got home.

sounds odd to me

just curious how many of you guys just throw your stud dog in a pen with the female to be bred and go hunting or whatever. myself i dont for fear of injury to one or the other. didnt figure anyone with a valuable stud would do any different.

has it been determined that

oxy was bred by a male other than spanky or just that the one dog out of the litter has the wrong papers?

Chris Baker, take this situation of lemons and make lemonade!!!

I can see how you are aggravated because your dog now has some blank spaces on his papers, but UKC would be lax in their duties if they allowed your papers to stand AFTER they know there was a mixup. All that would do is produce other generations of dogs with false papers(I know you couldn't help it but if they allowed your papers to stay then technically they would be false and everything after him would have false papers too).

Just turn this into a positive. Anybody that knows coondogs knows papers don't tree coons and they don't have anything do do with how good your dog will reproduce. If he reproduces you don't have anything to worry about on your dogs value, it will NEVER go down because he has EARNED it. Ten years from now if he reproduces well then all that will be traced back to HIM and YOU because nobody will be able to go further back and give other dogs credit as they so often do if they are jealous.

If he does the job then the only one that can get the credit now is HIM, and that's who would deserve it too.

I hunt with Chris and Bo alot I will tell you Bo will get treed and have the meat. Bo is the type of dog that will find the coon no matter how far he has to go to find it. Chris has a few pups that are starting to track and tree with the other dogs. No matter what Bo's papers end up looking like he is a coon dog from start to finish!!!!! Come go for a hunt with him you will like what you see.

CHRIS

CHECK WITH UKC AND SEE IF THEY FOUND OUT ANYTHING ON THE SPANKY 2 DOG OUT OF THE ORIGINAL SPANKY DOG. JUST SOME STORIES THAT HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT HE WAS A PURTY GOOD REPRODUCER......ONLY I DONT THINK IVE SEEN ANY PUPS OR DOGS OUT OF HIM.....LAST I KNEW UKC COULD NOT FIND OUT ANYTHING BOUT HIM...LIKE WHO OWNED HIM AFTER HIS OWNER TOOK A LIL TRIP TO NO PET MOTEL.....WHAT I BEEN TOLD IS JUST SECOND HAND INFO SO TAKE IT AS THAT, BUT WHERE THE INFO CAME FROM WAS A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE SOURCE. BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS SOLVED FOR YOU AND MY BUDDY BOTH.
HECK THERE IS A LITTER OUT OF MANNS WILD N BLUE SPANKY AND THIS NT CH FEMALE RUNNIN AROUND OUT HERE THAT DONT GOT HALF A PEDIGREE.
DUE TO THE MOTHER OF THE PUPS NOT BEIN OUT OF WHO SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE........NOT WILD N BLUE SPANKY....SORRY FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDIN....

A BUDDY OF MINE HAD A TOP NOTCH FEMALE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN OUT OF SPANKY BUT OOPS GUESS NOT..
I HAVE HAD MANY PUPS AND GRANDPUPS COME THROUHG MY PLACE OUT OF THIS FEMALE AND I RAISED BOUT 35 PUPS HERE WITH HER AS THE GRANDMA TO THE PUPS..........AT THIS MOMENT I HAVE NOTHIN THAT GOES BACK TO HER , BUT HAVE PLANNED ON BREEDIN DAUGHTERS AND GRANDAUGHTERS FROM HER BACK INTO WHAT I GOT NOW....BUT MAYBE NOT NOW....

spanky 2

Thank you guys for the heads up about spanky 2. I will call ukc and see if they can find out anything on him in the mourning. I just got the little letter in the mail yesterday about my Bo pups uncorrect pedigree so I wonder how many calls I'll get in the next few days. I just hope people understand that this took place a long time ago and any of the guys that this has affected had nothing to do with what has happened.

A.L.

I appreciate you getting that pup from Charlie. Sorry about all this mess. Bo is out of commison as of right now but as soon as he is better you can come hunt with us all you guys want. We'll turn Bo and Roxann loose and we can just stand back and watch the show. That way you can see what the mom and dad can do. They make one hell of a pair of hounds and if the pups turn out like the parents I will be very happy. I'm not sure when I can hunt him again but I have to take him back to the vet this coming saturday. He got sick will I was at the world hunt and went down on me. I'll talk to you later. Chris

cricket's sire?

Well it's monday and I have made some progress with this delima that we all have. I called ukc and asked about Spanky 2 but that didn't do much except get me in touch with a man who new how to get ahold of Jerry Winn. I talked to him and he is supposed to help us get this mess lined out. I don't know how it will work but he did tell me what Oxy was bred too. I hope he can help make this all go away and get everyone's papers correct. Cindy Stickly at ukc said they had already changed all the papers but if all goes well she can keep those and send the correct ones. The only thing is that the daddy of Cricket is 13 years old and I'm not sure of his where abouts. I forgot to ask Jerry about that. If he is dead the only way to prove by dna would be a forinsick test and it is doubtfull that ukc would spring for the tab. Cindy said maybe some of us affected could pay for the test if they can find where the dog is. This could cost from $500-$1,000. I think she said there were 100 or so dogs affected so if people would chip in it wouldn't cost much. If some of you guys want to try to do this or want to know more when I find out how it is going to go get in touch with me. Chris Baker (573)874-2272 or by e-mail at sawise@socket.net Thanks

Posted by elvis on 09-30-2003 12:39 AM:

i always new that someday jerry would be the one to tell us what our papers should say.LOL LOL LOL.

ask him what old spanky was out of and see what he says.

Posted by chris baker on 09-30-2003 12:56 PM:

Well Jerry told me who Oxy was bred to but now we need to get it on the papers some how. That maybe a trick in itself. I hope everything works out and maybe we can have complete pedigree's again. I don't think they will change them without dna proff and that maybe hard to get.

im the guy that went up to charlies with A.L. and bought that pup, i am not mad at anybody for all of this, but i will tell you that i will pitch in and do my part and help out in any way possible to get this mess straightened out for you, me, and who ever else it has affected. my # is 573-387-4712 e-mail- huntin_blue_dogs@hotmail.com please keep me posted,
thanks alot!
p.s. that pup looks really promising!

big timber

I am glad to know that you like your pup! Bo's pups are doing fairly well and I have huge hopes for the littermates to your pup. Charlie is considering breeding a litter mate to Roxanne to Bo. He likes his pups and he can't decide on Bo or a male dog out of his old Mo.Blue Rock. He said it will be one of the two. He wants to get a pup out of this secound cross and breed it to one of the pups out of the cross that you have. I talked to Jerry Winn just a few minutes ago and he said he knows who had the dog that Cricket is out of when he died so we maybe able to do the forinsic test and get this overwith. Despite of his reputation I think he will help with this and get it lined out. I hope everything goes over good and we get it done. Thanks for the agreeing to help do your part. I'm doing my best to get this stuff done and I hope that everyone affected is tring to get this solved as much as I am. Chris

yes, iam VERY happy with this puppy, i am also happy with all of the people who are helping to straighten this up, if you dont mind me asking what dog do you think was the sire, also where was he last?
moving on i just wanna say that even if this doesnt end up how we would like i still hope to own another bo pup one day and no matter what happens the pup i own now (trixie) will be treated as if nothing ever happened and hunted the same!
thanks alot
Zac
