We had a good showin tonight. Me and the wife cut loose early tonight in a deep holler behind dad's house. They struck quick, and rolled in about 350yds, and Roxy located big. After checking the tree about 3 times, she threw another big locate and changed over to a steady chop. It took us about 25 minutes to get to her, and she was standing up streched out on a oak with a nest up high.

I hit the squaller pretty hard and ol ringtail looked down with both eyes. I popped one out, and while they was fightin it there was 2 more that crawled out of the nest and was also looking down with 2 big bright eyes.

All in all we had a real good night for 27 degrees and the moon shinin bright, couldn't have asked for a better night to hunt.

Well Roxy is in heat!!!

After doin some lookin and talking with Tom I have decided she will be crossed on a nice young male off of Stringer's hillbilly jabo. He is about 2yro, GRCH has a 1st won on him is triple registered, AKC,PKC, and UKC Performance, and both the Sire and Dam are DNA'd

It will be done by means of AI at my local vet's office and I will be picking up the male wednesday night and carrying them to the vet on either thursday or friday.

I believe this will be a great cross, as I have had the pleasure to hunt with a few of these Jabo pups, and say enough about there huntin style and ability to start young and have great looks to them.
So if you are lookin for a nice dark red long ear'd houndy look redbone Mr.Tom Pridmore is gonna have some come around April.
I would like to thank Tom and Kent Wiley for allowing me the oppertunity to breed to GRCH 'Pr' Wiley's Hillbilly Jack
I don't think ya'll will be disappointed in this cross.

Carried Roxy to the vet yesterday for the first gestro test, and well she jus ain't quite ready to breed yet.
My ole lady is gonna carry her back tomorrow and try again.

I'm jus blessed to have a ol lady that's willin to help me out will all this, while I'm at work this weekend.

Well the vet called today and said they couldn't breed her last but got her bred this mournin. They checked the sperm and did say it is good.

We will have pups around February 12th.
I would like to thank Kent for allowing me to breed.to a great looking hound that has a good disposition and all the hunting abilities you could ever want.

Jack is a grch with a 1st in ukc
He is also a 2013 performance sire and triple registered. UKC, PKC, and AKC.
Kent is a great feller to deal with and a good friend. And I believe Jack has a lot to offer the Redbone breed.

I had Roxy out night before last for the 1st time since she came.
she rolled a big circle and I had to call her back because she was heading towards the highway. Then sent her back out in front and she located big and locked down with meat 300yds in.

I tried to call twice. I'm gonna cast out a local club tonight with roxy. She had a showin last night pleasure huntin.
It was cold and rainin hard. She rolled in 567yds, and got treed. We couldn't hear her from the wind and rain, but she had a nice 18 pound bore layed up a nest.

We will see tonight how it goes. It's gonna take a coondog deluxe to show us a coon.

Weather Channel is saying 20 degress with a 11mph wind WNW. Wind chills are gonna be around 14 degrees, and it's snowin so hard you can't barely see.

We are lookin for a WIN wish me luck.

Yes sir. The weather has been bad icy and we all got the flu up here but I hunted Thursday night and Friday night stayed in last night and plannin on hittin it again tonight.
Roxy done a good job Saturday night with Joann, Roxy got treed on a big oak deep down in the holler. We couldn't find anything up it, but it was a monster of a tree with plenty of places to hide.
