I think thats similar to what I suggested earlier....only I said that their plus from a non cast win should not be added to cast wins either. Points from a non cast win should only be used to break a tie.

I agree 2 cast wins should beat one but if you don't hunt thur and get your 2 on fri and sat with a score of 400 plus and they give you 400 minus and someone beats you with one cw of 25 plus wow heartbreaker when your work and family is more important sounds like I better get me a handler for thur if I can't make it

Problem

This is confusing, but why not say: To be a cast winner you must finish the night with "plus points". Two plus point cast wins beats one plus point cast win period. Three plus point cast wins beats 2 plus point cast wins period. Plus and minus points only considered
in the event of a tie, where dogs tie on number of cast wins.
Taking a cast win away from a dog due to it's performance the next night seems totally wrong. That is how the rules are now correct?

Yes....that is what cost Breanna the overall champion win at southern days last year. But that is the way the rules currently read.

Rule change

Ok. We needed clarification of the current rule. That was taken care of at Southern this year. The rule is clearly explained.
Now that we understand the rule, I think we need to change it.
Anyone agree?

I agree. I think cast wins with plus points should stand on their own and plus, minus or circle points from non cast wins should only be used to break ties and not added to or subtracted from your cast wins and figured into your total overall score. That never seemed right to me at all.
The way it is now a dog can have two cast wins with 200+ each night and give him a total of 400+ and then can minus out or get scratched on the third night and get 400- which leaves him with 0
and another dog can have two cast wins with 25+ each night and then go out and score 875+ but not win his cast and all that plus gets added to his 2 cw score of 50+ to give him a total of 925+ with 2 cast wins.
I think cast win scores should stand on their own and should not be able to bereduced or added to by anything but another cast win with plus points.
just my opinion....but I think it would simplify things a lot.
