Well I will give a little update on Breanna and her Aftershock pups....
all 8 are doing fine and so is Bree. Piggy is about to wean her litter out of Billy and Cherry's 8 pups are not far behind. Been a long and exhausting winter raising four overlapping litters but I was able to get them all in or heading to good competition homes. Bree x Shock is an uncle to niece line bred cross. Below you will find a video of a pup from another uncle to niece cross on Bree with her uncle Rocky Top Jet who like After shock is out of Moonlight Kate but has a different daddy than Shock. Enjoy the video and wait for the ending....he works up a track and explodes on the tree about a minute fifty seconds in

Nt.Ch. Bloodshed's Outlaw Breeze is in Texas

Nt.Ch. Outlaw Breeze owned by Kenny Jordan and Shane Maxey has arrived in Texas and treed a couple coon out there her first night for Tony Dominguez and this is a short video of the 2nd one. Tony will be handling Breeze some this spring and summer for us as she finishes out to Grand Nite Champion.
Breeze is out of Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Billy The Kid x Gr.Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Breanna and is a littermate to Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Cherry Bomb
She will be bred to Outlaw All Grand G-Man later this year

That was Outlaw Annie Oaktree owned and trained by Lisa Key of Wisconsin.
She is a littermate to Nt.Ch. Outlaw All Grand G-Man. They are out of Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Jesse James Jr x Grand Nite Ch Outlaw Billy Jean.
Its looking like a really good cross with 4-5 nice ones starting to emerge from it.

Is dilution the solution?
As I look at the pedigrees of some of "his" dogs.... I often wonder if Outlaw saturation is his secret infatuation, I mean this is the very line he chose as his redbone breeding foundation! I scratch my head and ponder his real motivation because it seems Outlaw concentration is really his salvation!!!
Perhaps a less winning line he should seek, for total elimination...after all, to dilute out big winners might lead to ones humiliation. Successful breeding isn't easy.... much hard work and dedication ..... one has to research...many dogs for many a generation....but when done right , the big wins come....followed mostly by smiles and congratulations..... and lest we forget, the jealous critics with their insults, dirty looks and childish condemnation. Perhaps they should rethink their tragic miscalculation.....

Its funny that they use the same lines that we do as a foundation for their breeding programs .....hmmm
Seems like its more about dropping the name of the line than diluting the the DNA of the line.
Pedigrees dont lie.....people can follow the trail and connect the dots and see the dogs a few generations back and see that those pushing the "dilution" agenda are the ones who are really diluted.
Its about the dogs...not the people....but some seem to forget that...
Lets always give credit to the dogs and the different lines of redbones and those breeders who stuck with a particular line through thick and thin and pushed aside the jealous criticism and stuck to a plan that helped to improve that line.... those are the breeders and redbone people that I look up to because I could never have got such a good start in this breed without those very people....they made any success I have had or may have possible and I am grateful for that.

Had a great hunt last night...just me and Woody and Cherry Bomb. Cut each one a couple times and they both got struck and treed deep with the meat. the weather is finally turning for the better so we will be hard at it from here on out. Just finishing up the last of the four crosses we made this winter with the Bree x Aftershock cross bringing up the rear. they are starting to eat out of momma's bowl so it wont be long now.
Really pleased from reports we have been getting on the litters we have raised in the past 2-3 years....several are starting to win and earn titles.
I want to thank everyone who has joined the team over the past few years....great work! We get new interest every week....some from people who have always hunted other breeds. They say it feels to them that the redbone breed is making some gains and now they are ready to try one.
Well....welcome aboard friends....our team is getting big but there is always room for those who want to help and hunt and win with a well bred competition redbone

Its been a great weekend!
Several Outlaw and Moonlight dogs picked up wins this weekend including two Outlaw bred dogs winning King and Queen of the hunt and the show at the redbone sectional in Texas and also some money winners in PKC hunts. G Man finished to grand show and won first place nite champion giving him his fourth win towards grand nite champion. G Man is still a one year old redbone.....think about that.
G Man will also be the first and only 4 generation all grand nite champion redbone....ever....think about that.
G Man's pedigree shows 30 straight Grand Nite Champion redbones directly behind him with not a weak link in 4 generations.....now think hard about that.
We have a good breeding program, a good plan, and a great team. Its working, its on track and results are getting better every day.
Of course we have critics and those who have different breeding plans...but we feel like we are making progress at a good pace.
G Man is a product of our program....and is and has been an important part of our plan....he is not the first and will not be the last impressive big winning redbone we produce . While we prefer to mainly hunt females we have several nice males and we have semen stored on many other great reproducing grand nite champion males for use on our females. We have many nice crosses planned over the next year. There are always many requests for pups and it seems like there is never enough to go around. We will continue to do our best to keep making the crosses that we feel will lift this breed to New heights in the competition world. If you want to hunt a winner...and you want it to be a redbone....get on board!
There is always room on our team for anyone who wants to win and breed better and better redbones. Thanks for all the support for what we are trying to accomplish.

Cherry got real sick after PKC redbone days and wasn't eating or feeling good. Lisa took her to the vet and got her on some antibiotics and she says she is feeling better now...hopefully she stays that way through both of the other two redbone days.
In other news I have decided to partner with Mr. Danny Biggert on his nice young male called Moonlight Outlaw Mack who is a Nt.Ch. Mack is out of my Dual Grand Champion Outlaw Billy the Kid and Danny's Gr.Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Kate. I will be picking him up as soon as I drop Woody back off to Doug.
Keep an eye out for Mack....I have a feeling Billy will be adding another Grand Nite to his reproducing record soon

she is proving to be able to reproduce the good kind from three different stud dogs so far
her third litter is just over a year old videos are coming in five are running and treeing coon
On paper her forth litter off shock could be another good one time will tell

Buster is a BEAUTIFUL Pup. He's 10 weeks old and real tree minded. It's really interesting to see how much better he can get through the woods today VS 2 weeks ago. We go almost every evening. Went late last evening. Thanks Shane for a nice pup. He may be to Hot for the name Buster. I may have to come up with a High Voltage name.LOL! Buster is by the way of AfterShock and Brianna. Tue. evening Buster was barking hard in the pup pen and I went out there and he was barking at a toad. He was really chopping them off. Sound like his Mother on the video I heard.
