WE WERE TRYING TO BACK DOOR A TOUGH COON ,DIDN'T WORK,COON 5,PRIMETIME 0.THE ONLY TIME WE HAD THIS COON ON THE OUTSIDE HE WAS ON THE EDGE OF A HIGHWALL AND WE LEFT HIM.

when u catch that come to my house he must have a brother who lives there i have treed him 3 times and i cant never get him close to same place every time ,,,he is killing me i am broke down and my dog aint much better..

Dan i am going to mess Robbies mind up these are questions that i have asked different Game Wardens over the years and have always got different answers from different officers.

Can you coon hunt during Deer season?

can you road hunt out of coon season with a 22 rifle locked in your tool box?

If you are hunting out of season and come back into your truck and Game warden is there and you have 22 rifle in truck can you get a ticket for hunting with a gun.

Can a locked tool box or dog box containing a 22 rifle be considered carrying a concealed weapon.

You have to make three moves to get the rifle out of the locked box get out of truck unlock box and get rifle out my guess would be no but if thats not true then ever one that hunts better have a concealed license permit.

Dan i think i know the answers to most of these questions as i have worked law enforcement of a sort for 23 plus years in corrections just want to satisfy my and others curiosity when we are carrying that rifle and not sure it is legal or not.

Going to print off Robbies answers and carry with me as proof of evidence in my glove box in case one of those smart alex officers out to make a name tries to tell me other wise.

Carl, I try not to mix pleasure with work. I use Coon Hunting and talking about coon hunting as one of my many releases from my job. The UKC message board is a place I go to talk dogs not work. So you have to hunt night time only during modern gun deer season.

As far as to what is considered concealed and what is not considered concealed that is a can of worms I am not going to open on here. You run into way to many "what ifs" and it runs into a million questions and scenarios. We need to just be thankful that we live in a open carry state and we still have our gun and hunting rights.

If I have failed to answer any questions or have been unclear feel free to call me anytime. If you want to call and talk about what is considered concealed and what is not that would be a lot easier than trying to discuss it on here. Or if anyone just wants to call and talk dogs that would be even better

Thanks Robbie for all the questions you just answered i promise not to put you on the spot again about the laws of the land.

I promise if you ever come down with Dan to hunt with me and Tommy i will school you in a lot of old mountain coon hunting terms.

EXAMPLES: What is a track jacking dog?

What is a sled track dog and many more terms that we use to describe coon hounds.
