It was a BEAUTIFUL day in PA! Rode my horse, Belle for 3 hrs with friends. Didn't see any wildlife until we got in our yd. Then an eagle flew over really low...I think it was eyeing up my Ray Terrier. Then tonight the temp was in the 50s so we took Ruby out. She treed the first stop, but too many leaves to see anything. We went 2 more places, but she didn't find anything.
Hey guys how you all doing. Haven't been out much cause of the heat and humid weather. This weekend has been nice and I been out most of the days. Got a problem with skunks right now. Bad one. Setting 110 and killing them. Shot one with myu rifle in my squirrel trap. I have killed 29 squirrels this year so far. Hope all you are doing ok and hope you all are still coon hunting. See you guys later.

Think winter is coming a little sooner this year, the hummingbirds are gone about a month early. Sumac is starting to turn along with the maples.
The corn could be harvested anytime, ears were dropping off this weekend when I bumped with my knee riding the mower. Usually we glean as much as possible for the corn stove but Lucy might beat us to some of it.

10-4 on the clubhouse, your just sleepin' to close to the ac vents Chuck shuckin' corn here now & some guys started last week, heard from 170 to 215 bpa.
We're all waiting impatiently to see the bpa, this farm will be on the high end of those numbers. The dogs have put a dent in the coon damage so he is happy.

Another Beautiful day in PA. Rode my horse with friends for 3 hrs. Chuck had Dandy down at the pond this afternoon, he got into yellow jackets. He came bawling and running to the house. He still had some on him when he got to the porch. A couple took after Ruby, we heard her yelping behind the house. Dandy had one sting close to his eye; it swelled almost shut immediately.
Couldn't tell where Ruby got stung and she seemed fine so we took her out tonight for some exercise. She treed 3 times in Hemlock trees. Only saw one coon, but Chuck is positive they all had coons in them.

they been cuttin corn out in indiana the beans still green but looks like they will have a good harvest
Chuck before the ears dried up she was bring up whole stalks, not from the easy end rows but the from the middle of the field. Atleast these dogs nibble the corn off the ear & leave the cob. Spent over a grand on Vet bills for a big beautiful Vizsla male who ate the whole ears, blocked him up & they couldn't save him.
Granddad's Walkers worked over the open corn crib ears pretty good, ate every bit of corn to about 4 ft high.
He had Alzhiemers, one night was worried about his favorite & just knew it was treed somewhere. So snuck out of the house, got in his tractor to go look for Wimpy. An Uncle found him across the stateline in Missouri, 3 miles South of the farm at one of his favorite spots. That old dog died before I left for the Marines.
