be a good nite to coonhunt but little to much wind
We took Ruby and Dandy out tonight. Finally saw a coon. Only was out long enough to tree one. Chuck wanted to get home, he's been getting up early to go archery hunting. Last night he stayed up to watch the election results so he was really tired tonight.
Coon season starts here tonight .... happy huntin' all. AND THANK YOU & HAPPY VETERANS DAY TO ALL WHO SERVED. We lost another WW2 vet Tuesday 93 yr. old Marine,RIP Charlie Fuller.

Thanks to all our Veterans. A former high school classmate posted a picture on FB of his favorite WWII Veteran...his 93 yo dad!
I was at my horse club mtg last night, when I got home; Chuck said Ruby didn't bug him to go hunting. He said she didn't on Tuesday when I worked the election either. But Monday and Wednesday, she was barking at us to go....so guess she likes hunting with me the best 😉
My FIL went to his family dr today. Nothing has really changed. He's not sure if his face will return to normal. He's getting very depressed. He tried to go hunting, but the air bothered his eye too much, so he hasn't went out anymore.

Not going out tonight, usually don't hunt on wkends....too many campers around. They drive like idiots on these back rds.
Them darn deer always wanting to play on the rds! We've boogered up a few vehicles over the yrs hitting them, too.

We didn't have such luck, I wanted to drive to the West pasture & work that section. He just wanted to walk down so Grace & Rose came back to the house asap. Lucy & the pup worked trails off a den tree.
Next week hunting will be much easier, the corn is coming out. FINALLY!! They are forecasting a big winter storm next weekend so things are going to get crazy around here.
HB a couple of the farm's bucks. There are several huge bucks still roaming.

those are some good racks sure hope y'all don't get bad weather this early but it comes out in that country early
Hayseed, If u get that bad weather. ...KEEP IT OUT THERE!!
Suppose to be pretty nice here all wk. Wednesday is the only day its suppose to rain and I have plans with friends to go on a bus trip to Mountaineer casino and to see the Oglebay Christmas lights.
Got an hr and a half ride in on Jas today. Would have went longer, but thought it was warmer than it was. Sun was a little deceiving. Took my coat to the barn and left it there. Air was cold.
Rex, Chuck has knocked on more than one door asking if he can shoot a coon out of their tree. Haven't had anyone say "no" yet. Suppose the day's coming they might call the law... people are changing. A lot of people are moving here from the cities. Even if the get an acre lot, they're putting up No Tresspassing signs.
a tad on the cold side here this moronin 21 and heavy frost
Right now they are saying it's going North, Minnesota is forecasted for a foot of snow. So now just a waiting game until the system gets closer. We did pull the old tonner out of the shed & got it ready to push snow. So it probably won't hit us now, lol.
I'll take snow anytime over a ice storm, last Thanksgiving was a ice storm had to carefully shimmy up the front steps on my butt after driving home on ice. Knew as graceful as I am I'd end up there so I skipped the falling part.
