An opossum in a tree with the moon behind it....JK. It looks like a coon silhouette in the tree. Dogs look like they are doing a nice job. I look forward to comp season, its always a pleasure to draw out with Aubrey.

Right you are Melissa.....about the coon that is, not the possum! It actually seemed a little easier to tell what it is at certain angles, and some angles it was like "what ??????"

Coon seem to be moving fairly decent in the moonlight. Aubrey had a den tree and one on the outside last night. Should be interesting to see what the hunting is like this weekend.....with the REALLY big moon and all

Going to Aurthur or just pleasure hunting this weekend?
It sounds like they are going to have a pile of dogs there so I've been debating putting a dog in. I don't think Ive ever been at hunt that drew more than 30 dogs and I think it would be kind of neat.

Well Brandon, the first time I looked at it I was looking at a computer screen.....and still couldn't figure it out The well was a good guess - it does kind of have a tunnel look to it.

Melissa, he plans to head to Arthur. He goes to that one just about every year, and they always have a good turnout. There were 10 or 11 open casts at it 2 years ago.

That was a fun boat ride Carl

Aubrey and the Solum family went hunting last night and had an enjoyable hunt. First drop Ox treed a lay-up, second drop Dice & Ox ran a good track up the creek and to a den tree.

Aubrey took Abram out hunting tonight.....it was his first time out since last fall, and boy was he excited to go! He found the coon in the trees, and he led the way out of the woods! Dad is sure proud!

It was cold, icy, and snowing last night, but Aubrey went hunting with Ox anyway. They made 2 drops and Ox got two treed on the outside.

Hey Tom! Clyde is doing well. Aubrey is focusing on pushing his pups right now, but the old man still gets out every now and then.

Aubrey & Bill Gudgeon made a few drops last night & had a good hunt. First drop Ox, Moon, and Skeeter had a den tree, and second drop Moon treed one on the outside.

Aubrey never gets any rest, he coonhunts all night, and coon hunts/bear hunts/badger hunts/deer hunts/Mommy hunts all day! Gotta love it.

They are a tough looking bunch aren't they, but don't let their looks decieve you. This is the one you've got to watch out for.....

We had great hunt last night. Took my grandson Andre on his first coon hunt with his other grandpa Ray. For dogs we had Ox, Dice, Tater and EZ. We did just one drop with the group. We cast Ox, Tater and not so easy EZ. Tater struck a cold track, soon followed by Ox. They had the meat.
I think it was a total of 5 casts. Rotating dogs in and out. I cast Tater on every drop. We had the meat on every drop. Tater, Ox and Dice all work great together.

On a personal note. I want to thank Aub and Abram for coming out. Grandpa Ray was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and his time is short. This was something he wanted to do with his only grandchild. I have to give Ray credit for walking out to the tree with us. He didn't even have a light. Just outstanding..

hey aubrey,
didn't get out last night this cold is still holding on strong, i slept from noon Saturday till 7: 30 sat night then went to bed a 9 and slept till 7 today and ready for a nap right now, im just extremely tired, im going to the doc on Monday to see whats up, how did u and scott do?
