I went and seen jeremy`s 10 pups out of Tree Daddy and Honey they sure look good and Honey is in gokod health also for having 10 pups on her.my pups sure are growing to.

I went with King again toning he is getting right thats for sure.You talking about tree job sure sounded good him and powder on the wood with the meat.they struck a track and drove it about 500 yards in just minutes.Ted really likes King and he knows he is a good one.poor ol Country had to stay home again tonight and it sure hurt his feelings thats forsure.I`m planning on going over to Tom`s and take some new pictures of his males off of Legend and Six Pack.I know Tom really like them.

Ruby`s pups are 4 weeks old in the picture and are acting real nice.the pups are coloring up real nice.I will have three of these females to sell.

I was checking my pups out and one has a blue eye.every litter that I have had that had the blue eye was a good litter.i`m hoping this will be the same.
I hunted with Tom and his Mosquito Creek clan and Ted with his litter mate to Legend and I took Powder all four had a coon each on the outside and we had a split tree on one of the Legend males these pups are real nice Bo and Image are going to make something real nice.ol King is doing a good job for Ted.we had a good hunt.

Was up to Matts the other night for a few drops and slipped out back and got a peek at the pups.This is a nice litter of healthy pups guys.The ole pup trainer has done it again.Tree Daddy is siring some nice pups and these should be no different.Looking foward to another season with him.There is never a dull moment with the Tree Daddy along.In his mind,he runs the show and you are just there to carry the rifle for him.Keep up if you can and bring plenty of shells,you're gonna need them.LOL.

Enjoy him while you can Matt,he's not getting any younger and ones like him just don't come around every day.

Tom and Ted,

Its good to have hunting buddies like you two.we always seem to have good hunts.I`ve been blessed with good hounds and good friends.the foundation was here when I bred into the Diam Jim line.Tree Daddy well he`s reproducing some nice hounds and now his grand pups they are looking awesome.I hope to get a few more females bred to him before he gets to old hes 8 now.
Country,he`ll get his chance with some Tree Daddy and Legend females in the future.were gonna get Tree Daddy and Stinger,Legend,King and Big Country out one night when season starts and see what happens.Tom you`ll be in charge in bringing the shells and Ted you can carry the back pack.I`ll bring the camera.LOL

My pups are looking real nice I really like this litter.Powder is coming into heat and is on time.she has looked pretty good the last few weeks of hunting.I took my Legend X Lou female last night she sure is a nice tee dog.looks like i`ll be hunting her pretty hard the next few weeks.i stopped by jeremy`s and peaked at his litter all 10 pups looks nice they are 4 weeks old now.if anybody is looking Ellis Blue Jim line bred hound these will be a good fit.

Rick,the litter seems to be real track minded and I have seen some real good work on three of four that I have personally been to the woods with,tracking comes natural to them.the forth one has`nt been hunted as much but is a real tree dog.this litter is making some nice hounds that have all the tools make good ones.they seem to have real mouths on them.How is your male doing and does he have a good mouth on him?

Thanks Debbie,I think the pups look pretty nice in person.they were all napping when I took the picture.I`ll post more pictures of the puppies in a week or so.

Hi Matt

Blackjack is coming on strong, he is tracking good and is loud. He is a rig dog, rigging everything. He is trashy, which I like in a young hound. I like a year old to trash on coyote, deer. I have been breaking him off of these of course, however the first few deer runs have been good and long. He has heart, coyote the same thing. He is turnng the corner and becoming a hound. He will be independent as I have seen. Last time out, he struck a coyote, so I let him out. shocked him at about 100 yds and again about 1/4 mile in. He came back second time. He is determined. I also caught him running a wolf......urgh. Yes Coon are considered trash up here. I really pay attention to coon. I have not had to work him over on coon yet, but there is nothing worse than walking a 1 1/2 miles into a swamp to the tree and find its only coon. I try real hard to not give him an opportunity to work with coon. I do not hunt at night and we do not see many coon working during the day. Matt, he is a good hound so far and I am very happy with him. He has good stamina and has been on about 6 bears this season.

Did you ever get to see the pics of him on the bear?

Rick,I`m glad he`s turning on for you.this litter has been a good one I`m really surprised he`s taking a liking to deer.thats one trash problem I don`t see out of my hounds.his littermates can push a track and are independent to.good Luck with him and if you go hunt with the male I told you about out of Stinger and Lou,let me know how he does,He would cross up good with Roxy.I haven`t seen the pictures yet.I`ll try again in the morning.

Here`s a couple pics of Stinger.I took tonight I don`t hunt him much,you sure can`t tell it he gives 110% all the time.Stinger is a special hound that can put coon up in a hurry.It really felt good to turn him out again.

hi matt that's a nice looking bunch of pups. i'd bet they will look even better in the woods. we've been coon hunting some. lots of trappers in the woods though, have to be careful where you turn out. skipper is doing great with her pups, still has all 9. i think all are spoken for except one female. i'll send you some pictures when they get bigger. good hunting dennis

That should be a outstanding cross.i`m glad she raised all her pups.I can`t wait until our kill season starts we have until the 9th of nov. it will be here soon.
I talked to Rick Matley he has the female off of Bawler and Dixie (Roxie).he is looking for a male to cross with.I know of a good one out of Stinger and Lou in Gaylord Mi. that would make a good fit.Do you know if their is any other blood out of Blue Boy in the Up area?

hi matt i talked to rick yesterday. there are a lot of good crosses he could make. every thing you have would work good. also mike's slew would be a good one. jim wales 4 way grand goes back to blue boy II and rena ( a littermate to darkmoon rocky) through wales song. song was a littermate to blaze. he should also cross well on ricks female. there are some sons to blue in mich. and several sons to rocky. it would take some time to get phone #'s for them though. skipper's pups are running all over, i'll have to put them in the pen soon. several of them look like stinger. sure didn't hurt the having him for their gradpa. i'll get some pictures soon. dennis

Here`s a updated picture of Stinger and Big Country,Rebel AKA Ben Franklin. The only two son`s I have here out of Stinger.Rebel is my project this coon season.he is off of Chris Cadle`s female.
My Tree Daddy X Ruby pups are really growing now.they have had their first shot and are worm free. this is one good looking litter of pups I will have two females left to sell.

Dennis,I knew you would know where a few were in Mi.It shounds like she is the right kind I told Rick he could breed her to Stinger that woud be a good cross also.good to hear youve been coon hunting a little. Jim Wales Nightmare would cross good also.I know I went back looking at littermates and wow how easy it is to forget about some good looking pups.Thanks Dennis.

hi matt stinger would be a good choice. that would be the same cross as diamond and stinger that produced molly. copper and dixie are littermates, blue and bawler are full brothers. molly is one bear chasing hound. sounds like a sure thing. dennis

Dennis,It sure would be a good cross.I really like Ruby real well.I was leaning on keeping some of your hounds in the mix as well.Roxy would cross on about anything.Rick has time to find a mating partner for Roxy. I talked to Dave Smith he is having fun with Barker out of Stinger and Lou, his coon season just started.I have the pups weaned and it looks like Ruby will be getting some action soon just in time for our kill season.Take Care.

Have you heard from any more out of this litter?Powder is a real nice female and a good strike and tree dog.Annie was treeing when she went to Dennis`s.Powder will be out of heat in two weeks so she will get some hunting in on her she needs a kill season she is making a nice hound.

It looks like i`m gonna have two female pups forsale out of Tree Daddy and Ruby.this should turn out to be another good cross of balanced hounds and should outcross on about any line with great success.200 ea. pups have had one 5 way vac. and are worm free. i`ll post updated pictures soon.

Hey Dennis,

It was 31 when I last checked we had a good hunt tonight.It came down a good frost.I took Tree Daddy and Ruby the first round.we made a few good trees one bad and we found one on the outside.I came home and grabbed Stinger and my Legend and Lou female. Stinger jammed a coon in about 400 yards and had it then I recut, mistake,he went about a mile and treed and had a den and blew the top out of it.I thought for sure I would see it the next four drops both Stinger and my young female did a outstanding job and man what a tree job they did.Ol Stinger didn`t want to quit. My female is fired up to say the least she is opening on the ground and pushing the track real well.I really like her she is going to be a keeper.I hope to breed her one day to Stinger.take care I hope your weather drys up for you.

Hey Matt, Friday night Angel went off the road with the older female. Struck behind her. Treed first and had the coon. Shes only been out 6 or 7 times gets better every time I take her out.

Went East and Bear Hunted with a friend today. Treed an 80 lb bear that thought he was 500, Huck got his first battle scar. Was with the front dogs when they treed. He probably wont seen any more coons purposely.
