Still trying to decide which club blood is going north besides Toby. I will figure it out soon enough.

CONGRATS

Ole Toby won King of Water Race the second year in a row. AWSOME!
You guys have a lot to be proud of.
For those that dont know, Toby was at a big disadvantage going into the water race on Sat. Some time thursday night he got either snake bit or spider bit. He was running a high fever and had a big swelled up knot on his throat. Lance doctered him all friday and couldnt swim or hunt him fri.
Saturday he looked alot better but still wasnt 100%.
Congrats guys, Toby has the drive and desire to win even when he was sick.
He still pulled it out.

Thanks Roy. That about sums it up. I really enjoyed hunting with Tyler and Ryan. It is fun to see them getting more into it. They were taking the water race seriously and that is a very big deal to them. I was lucky Toby was feeling better saturday so they could swim him. I was very proud of them both.

I felt bad for Shaun because he put a good bit of hunting time into Toby and did not get to hunt him like he wanted. That was a tough break but I'll just chalk it up to hunting. Toby gave Saturday all he had. I just keep having to remind myself that Toby is three years old. There will hopefully be plenty of future opportunities.

Toby

We took Toby to the vet because he continues to run a fever. The vet cleaned out his wound and said he has an infected raccoon bite. We are doubling up his antibiotics and hopefully he will recover soon. He is eating and moving around but is not 100%. I will feel better when his fever goes away.

Norm. It was nice meeting you. You certainly know what you are looking for and what you believe will make better hounds for the future. Tying the boats is what we do and hopefully we can keep heading in the right direction. I am really looking forward to watching the King x Queen cross. wondering how ole King of the water world is doing. Hope Toby's infection is going away.
Sure didnt find time to visit much when we were all at Blutetick days.
You guys and the Brooks did awsome in Ohio Congrats to all of you.

Norm, the passion that you and the guys we all visited with about these pups have is unparrelled in looking for the blue world champion. No need to jump ship just take the best parts and build a new boat. Designed to get the job done not just reshapeing an old boat. We are on the right track and I believe it is on the horizon.
By the way congrats to all the Plane wins also.

Each of us needed a break or two we did not get but that's any kind of competition. Glad we got to see you guys. I hate I could not make the trip to Norms but it just did not work out. I sure was wanting to see those pups. I am glad you posted the pics. Lance

Toby is almost back to his old self. The vet said he had an infected raccoon bite after she cleaned it out she found the teeth marks.

We took a little break since the zone 6 championship. The hounds are fine. We are starting football now. Planning on doing some hunting soon and have a fun fall. We are going to get a pic of Toby and his trophies so far. We are pleased with him and really enjoy him. Each one of these hounds is very unique and have their own personality. Toby is a special hound to us.

He is from the cross that you made, Tonto and 911, he should make a show CH also. He also won High scoring dog of the Hunt. Lance you did a good job making that cross...........Tim

I appreciate it Tim. You and Hutch certainly had a lot to do with that litter. It sounds like 2 of the four pups will soon make nitech. I understand all four are treeing their own coon. It feels good having my first litter turn out like that but those results are predominantly because of the vision of others. I really appreciate the ones that allowed that to happen. I am excited about the future. The foundation is there we just have to make the right crosses. I am so glad to be a part of Team Mad Dog.

We are getting several calls from people wanting pups. We are planning another litter at this time. I am going to breed 911 one more time when she comes in. Most of those calling are friends of people who have gotten pups and people who have heard about the bloodline. It is refreshing to hear what they have to say and fun just talking hunts and Blueticks.

911 is a reproducer of early starting pups that mature into really nice hounds. BBOA National Queen of hunt (2011) was from John II x 911. At the recent BBOA Zone I hunt in Columbus Il a 15 month old male from Tonto x 911 won 1st on Friday, 1st on Saturday and over all High Scoring dog of hunt...........Tim

I know how I would breed her to but i'm out of hunting for this time and out of the loop
and there are dogs that are getting pushed as stud dogs in the mad dog kennels some I have hunted with and some I have not. every body is looking for some thing in there hounds.
GLO was and still is very close to my heart and I miss her very much. I have two dogs in mind for her to be bred to that I like there style and then there are other that some people like just not my type of hounds. good luck on how ever you breed her two. HUTCH
