Hay Chuck, u really need to be greedier when it comes to snow and nasty weather. We had 2-3" at midnight. Chuck slipped and fell taking Seven and Dandy to the barn. Now Chuck has added ribs to his list of things that hurt along with shoulders, elbow, finger and heel. It was a perfect excuse for Dandy to take off for 1/2 hr, too. When he came back, we left him stay in the house. Of course he decided to sleep in bed with us. It was all melted by this AM.

Chuck's dad was finally diagnosed with Lyme disease. The dr said it probably caused the Bell's Palsy and maybe even his pneumonia.

Nate on the 2016 buck thread helped me post pictures of my buck and Chuck's antlers (made European mt), if u get chance ck it out. Laura from UKC got a nice OH buck. My dad always said my uncle that has the PA nontypical buck record was lucky an OH buck was chased across the PA state line to him.

Yeah I saw those pics in the buck thread, I was going to send you warning about how bitter that horn soup/stew you were boiling on your stove ,lol , now about the snow we got about 7 inches and I sent the rest of it east for your ski season to get fired up .

Thanks, Hillbilly.

Chuck, antler stew is what I get for sleeping in. He had it simmering away around 7 am. I read several articles on European mts and most started out....don't do this in your house. I read that very loudly to Chuck, but it fell upon deaf ears. Used it as a good eccuse for us to go out to eat that night. ☺

I don't ski, so keep all that nasty white stuff.

Question

Hard to believe how these news forecasters blow things out of proportion, sure it's cold but look what time of year it is.The weather was a lot worse 33 yrs. ago today when the oldest son was born.

Posted by Rex W Sims on 12-08-2016 01:50 PM:

we treed a blank right off the tailgate. then she got right and treed where the coon was..then made a den..wind picked up and the temp.s dropped and I came home around 8:30......

Last night was the worst night we've had. Ruby treed twice...no coon. I heard Chuck call Dandy a moron. Asked him why and he said he was barking at a little hole, he figured he was after a chipmunk or a mouse.

Our barn was built in 1902. We replaced all the doors, a couple of rafters, boards in the upstairs floor, 2 sides and a new roof over the yrs. Hoping we don't have to put anymore $ into it, we need to do some remodeling in the house.

Cold and snowing here, but I'm enjoying watching the little green and red lights from my new Star Shower lights dance across the ceiling and walls.

At Walmart yesterday, Chuck said I shouldn't buy one....so I got 2 ☺ Now he thinks we should buy our son one for Christmas.

Not too bad out now, 22° with almost no wind. Would go out but running on 2 hours sleep, one of my staff went to the ER last night so I covered her shift. She has pneumonia, sure glad I just got that vaccine!

Old Rose has been acting strange lately, turns out she is coming into heat. Pondered breeding her then she had a small seizure, just going to let her enjoy retirement.

Just got done working out a deal for the Bone Collector pup, we're going to buy her. She was bored & driving me crazy today so we went to the big sporting goods store at the big mall & Lowe's. (I don't want to work the dogs here & have my deer go visit the neighbors, second shotgun season starts tomorrow.) So many people asked if she was a Beagle mix, her favorite scent she followed was the catfish bait. Smh. Tons of noise, people, new stimulus all around, she didn't mind it at all kept her cool & enjoyed all the attention.

Grace is going next because she'd let me shop & the yuppies love a dalmatian!

HB, u need to get ur wife trained better. Chuck's been feeding the horses since he retired. Since mine are insulin resistant, they don't get grass so we make at least 3 usually 4 trips to the barn to feed hay.
Wind chill in single digits...casino day!
