I think we may have found one. It's supposed to be right. We should know in a week or so. Thanks for looking for us.

HB, we PRETEND he's the BOSS, but it's really a partnership and it works really well when he's the silent partner.

We're paying $2.65-$2.69 a gal for gas. PA just put another 8 cents a gal tax on it. Gas tax is 88 cents in PA, the highest in the country!!

We pulled traps today. Only got a bobcat and a porcupine in 3 wks. Probably going to set traps for beaver and coyote, but not until we get a decent weather forecast. It was 9° while we were pulling traps, it's suppose to warm up and rain by mid-wk.

We stayed ratholed this afternoon and watched 🏈. The Steelers won, so that made Chuck's day.

i can't wait till spring my downspouts are froze dang guy put em up while i wasn't here didn't do it right i wanted a downspout on each corner he put 1 on each frt corner try to slope it all that way always have water in my gutters

Posted by Rex Ridge on 01-09-2017 11:10 PM:

Rex, do u trap coyotes? They came pretty close to a couple of r traps, but just not close enough. We had one in an offset jaw trap that got out. We caught the fisher and 2 bobcats in them with no problem. Since we caught one, we thought the traps were scent free, but the last night we had them out the coyote tramped all around the set (different one than the one we had one in), but didn't get close enough to step on the pan.

Posted by Rex W Sims on 01-09-2017 11:36 PM:

Ridge, ive trapped some yotes.no expert though.but what you describe is a scent problem..not really a problem. I think if your set weathers a few days that yote will be back and you will have a better shot to catch him..or you know how yotes are if he has been pinched a time or two .he is going to be leary of anything and everything.

i hear it's gonna be the steelers & the cowboys in the superbowl go cowboys lol chuck thats what happens when ya get in them golden yrs lol glad ya won the battle

Posted by Rex Ridge on 01-11-2017 02:30 AM:

Chuck, glad u won with your insurance thing. Always great to save some $.

Rex, the traps had been out for awhile and it had even snowed on them do not sure what's going on. The trap we caught the coyote in is a few miles from the trap that stepped all around it, but suppose it could be the same one.

Posted by hillbilly56 on 01-11-2017 02:14 PM:

had some rain last nite 42 here this moronin calling for rain this evening gettin ready to go get a load of corn over in pa

Posted by Rex W Sims on 01-11-2017 02:21 PM:

Ridge,he might trap wise ,are you setting a dirt hole set...if so and you know what general way the yote is coming in from go back 30 to 50 yards and punch in another set and see if you can fool him there...iam going to try and get my rat sets pulled today.i think it thaw enough....Packers may have something to say about that super bowl.....

Thanks, Rex. We had 3 traps set in the area. Never went into one, walked within ft of another and tramped around one. He borrowed some CDS to watch on coyote trapping, but couldn't figure out how to get the DVD player to work on the new TV lastnight. He watched them before, just wanted to see if he missed something.

There is a Sportsmen's show we're going to this wkend and one in February in NY...maybe he can pick up some pointers. Hope we can thin out a few where we hunt coon and deer so they don't get the dogs or kill the fawns.

Most of the snow is gone. Its 45 and might get up to 60 by Friday. Hope to get the dogs out.
