Jason down here the fog is so bad you can't see 1 foot in front of you. Im really itching to hunt too. Hope weather starts to improve. But sounds like we are suppose to get more white stuff this weekend.

yah dont sound good but i cant take it any more i got to get out with some guys that ain't afraid of some snow. Don't get me wrong i like hunting by myself so no one here's me bitch my hounds out or see me do something stupid but i'm finding out that i dont have much to say to myself anymore LOL.

Corey I think I told you about Rich Steffans from northern Iowa getting that Dutch female. Hes a real good friend of Duanes and he had the sire to my Annie. Real nice houndsman and is about my age.

Anyway he called Duane the other nite and said listen. Kinda like what I did with you when that male treed his back side off! The female treed her very first wild coon the other nite and in style. Chop all the way on tree. But I knew all along she was going to make a dog.

So far the 2 we had sure impresses us too. Now Matt Turner on here has Sheba. Duane traded her for 2 pups with the old Sage blood. And he will get a choice pup if she gets bred soon.

Just thought you would like to hear the report. And the male that Steve bought his dad I will keep in touch with them too. Nice people and good hunters!

Thanks for the update bryan. Sounds like both them are on the way to making nice hounds. I can't wait to this spring to see how some of these pups go.

No these aren't the ones I bottle fed. Same litter but I only bottle fed on smaller one and he didn't make it. These 4 are big fat pups. I will get some pictures latter today.

I don't think I will be hunting this weekend. We have xmas friday night, sat evening, sunday day, monday night, and tues afternoon. Joys of having 4 sets of parents. I had to give up tickets to the vikings redskins game sunday night too.

Corey I was up in Des Moines today. Got the early around 8 am. Was 44 degrees in Ottumwa 6:30. 37 in Des Moines. After 2 hours in scheels temp. was down to 27 and wind was blowing real hard. Started snowing and raining turning to ice. Needless to say we headed home.

Now we have ice here, SUCKS This darn weather blows!

That's what it was, right out the back door. That's my best hunting spot. It's probably over 100 acres of nice river bottom. Turned brandy out and dutch got jealous so I opened up the door and said go get one and make it quick. Went in the house for a while and when champ started barking in the kennel I figured they were treed. came back out and they were treed in about 1/4 mile. I actally forgot all about dutch not having a collar until I got to the tree. He hasn't had one on since he got that nice golf ball size hole in his neck.

It is awful nice to have that rite out the door isn't it? Guess I didn't realize that was "Dutch"...LOL!! I was thinkin one of them runnin loose pup's that tagged along,my bad!!

Look's like you may be runnin low on snow,need some? Was nice while it was thawin for a few day's & now it's freezin up hard again but I think a person can walk on top of it for the most part.Gonna raise havoc on some feet though I reckon.

We have had some major melting going on here the last few days. there is still snow most places except where the sun hits. No I don't need any for a while. I'm gonna hit the woods this week and weekend so it can stay away for a while.

Can't let um run loose very long here too close to the road if they went the wrong direction and too many neighbors. I doubt they would last long. I wish I could though.
