Thanks buddy! You are just as much a part of this as any of us that are trying. You have one of the better females in our breed that I feel blessed to be breeding. Champ will be a ringer just wait and see.

My love and passion for these hounds is at a higher level than my physical shape. I'm trying to get myself in better physical condition and hope to be following another WINNER soon. Best of luck to everyone following a blue dog.

The 2 pups Larry and I have out of Crocket and Punkin are really good pups. The littermate that Glen Givens has he calls Scrap in West Virginia is doing great as well. Mike hasn't started his female yet but has plans to. I don't know where the other pup is. My pup out of this litter is 13 months old and got a 1st place win already in the nite hunt against a 3 year old walker dog that just made the final four of an added money hunt and a 4 year old English. Mike McCormick was the cast judge and can tell you how the pup operated. I'm not blowing these pups up but I believe this is a special group that will make a mark in our breed someday. They are from 2 winning hounds out of winning hounds and special crosses. I really appreciate Mike Sheppard for giving Crocket the opportunity to raise a litter with his nice female Punkin. We are getting results!

I took Max in his 2nd solo trip to the woods last night. He didn't hunt as hard as usual but to his defense it was storming with high winds. The cattle were even in the creek bed taking shelter lol. Hi first bark was a locate and he started treeing. He was only 80 yards from me so I got to watch the whole thing unfold. He was winding the scent and it took a minute for him To settle on a tree. When he settled in he went to treeing good. I found the coon and loved him up good. Nothing in my opinion beats air scenting lay up dogs. This is a trait I never want to be without again. It takes a good combination of brains and nose power to get it done. Love my Max pup!

I let Crocket talk me into letting him go with us last night lol. It really bothers me letting him set in that pen but I also have to keep the pups hunted up or I will be without something to hunt. I cut him loose 3 times last night and he treed 3 coon. this hound hasn't been out of the pen since the Purina Nationals 2016. He simply amazes me and I sure thank the Good Lord for blessing me with such an amazing companion. I did have to pick him up and load him in the truck at the end of the night though. life gets rough when you get old.

Has another great hunt tonight with some friends. I loaded up Misty II and entered her up to see what she was made of. She got beat by a better dog tonight. It's ok cause she hasn't been hunted in quite some time. I'm going to have to start taking her along with Max. Chances are they will be split treed anyway. We had so much fun at the club house with Rick Blaylock, Rick Davis, John Kirby, Mike McCormick, Eddie Brizendine, and others. We laughed till we hurt. Great times with great friends!

Going to be breeding a nice little female out of Grnitech male out of Tree Slammin Hillbilly x nitech female that is out of a Grnitech sister of Crocket's. Yup is very independent and very tree minded. She falls treed on lots of coon layed up. She runs a track with a hawk and trees with a chop.

I took Grace's stitches out. She is such a good girl. She will be having puppies in a few weeks out of Mountain Music Blue. I appreciate John Gill for the help
