I add some lemon juice and no water. Heat the whiskey up in the microwave and add honey or better yet use Wild Turkey American Honey whiskey.

We went to a Blue Grass festival today; had a nice time. We set beside a couple that I graduated with their oldest daughter and my sister graduated with their youngest daughter. She crocheted and Chuck and her husband killed a bunch of coons. I showed him pictures and a video of Ruby and Dandy and he said it made him feel like he wanted to go get another coonhound.
The ground was covered with snow when we left to come home. Chuck set 4 beaver traps this AM, he's sure he'll have one in the AM so I want to ck traps with him tomorrow.

Woohoo!!! Good for her! Hope she buys you something nice, Rex.

Chuck couldn't get Lynn to answer the phone this AM so I stayed home and he went to ck on him. He just didn't have his hearing aid in and didn't hear the phone. Since we both have redneck corvette convertibles, (soft top Jeep Wranglers with the back seat taken out) they only have room for 2. They brought home another beaver! Biggest one so far, it weighed 51 lbs.

Whiskey concoction works well, I made it for Chuck one time after he complained he hadn't been able to sleep a couple of nights because of a head cold. He fell asleep sitting in the chair drinking it.

Ridge she just called the kids and she is taking us all to buffalo wild wings for supper tonight....51lbs. is a nice beaver...whiskey always worked for me...crown royal....

that bute pill did the trick so far that climbin up and down a ladder will put a hurtin on ya

Posted by Rex Ridge on 03-21-2017 01:26 AM:

Congrats on the wins. The most we ever won on scratch offs was $400. It was a Christmas present from my aunt so I gave her $200 of it.
Two of my friends had colic problems last wk. One had her old pony colic. She caught it early, had the vet out and it's going to be ok. My other friend had an 8 month old Drum (3/4 Gypsy) horse colic. She lost him. The vet thinks it must have twisted his gut. She's devasted. Her husband passed away a couple yrs ago and her critters are her babies. She just lost a dog to cancer last yr. We're making plans to go to KY to Road to the Horse this wkend. She needs to get away. And I'm sure Chuck won't mind a break from me😉
HB, u better be careful with that bute. One pill is a dose for 1000 lb horse, if u don't weigh 250 lbs, ur probably taking too much. My friend's husband would take it for his gout. I told her she should make him write something that he took it because if he died and it was found in his system, they'd probably arrest her for poisoning him.

Posted by hillbilly56 on 03-21-2017 01:42 AM:

yep that bute is stong stuff i don't take it but every now and then if ya catch a horse early for colic i keep a long neck whiskey around ya mix pretty warm black coffe put alkasaucer in it shake it up get it fizzin hold the horses head up pour it down him might have ta put a couple bottles in em i think ya gotta put a tad of bakein soda in to id have to check that it was a old recipe my granpap used

a little humor..Wrong E-mail address.....A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier.

Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without realizing his error, sent the e-mail.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston , a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack.

The widow decided to check her e-mail expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted.
The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: July 19, 2010

I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in.

I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then! Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

P. S. Sure is freaking hot down here!!!!
