Glad ur head cold is better. Did u try whiskey and honey?

Went to see KONG with friends, came home and was walking in the house when I got a text from my SIL. Chuck's mom was in ER, she had a stoke. He was coming in from cutting firewood. He got ready and we went to the hospital. She's in ICU, can't move her left arm and not talking too clearly, but she wants to come home. I'm leaving for KY tomorrow. I told her we'd go to the casino next wk when I got back; she smiled.

No I used my old stand by Alka Seltzer plus, hope all works out for the best on mom in law.A guy I work w/ at the farmstore sent me a picture yesterday of his son's pet hound, when they got Charlotte they thought she was a beagle, but when I seen her I told him she was a bit to big & looked more like a Walker hound, well yesterday the boy & mom were out at the park & the hound treed a coon, has never been shown a coon or hunted his text picture read I guess the Walker is comin' out, told him we should hunt her & see what she's got.

Talked to Chuck last night, his mom is a little worse, but its because of the swelling on her brain that should go down. They're suppose to move her out of ICU.
I stayed at a friend's house last night so we could get an early start, but we're running late😞 But we should be KY bound within the hr. We're going to Lexington to Road to the Horse at Kentucky Horse Park.

Sorry your sick, HB. Maybe the others have it too, or are out partying with WB. Maybe nothing to write home about.

I talked to Chuck earlier...his mom has pneumonia now and a feeding tube so they're going to have to put her in a nursing home.
He caught 2 beavers today and pulled the traps.

Hope u getting feeling better soon, HB.

Enjoying this KY weather, but its suppose to start raining tomorrow. An aide partially pulled out Chuck's mom's feeding tube today so they had to remove it. He said they'll put one in Monday. She was supposed to go to a nursing home Monday, so not sure if that will happen now. Thanks for the prayers.

Posted by Rex Ridge on 03-28-2017 08:29 PM:

Good to hear from u, Chuck.

HB, glad ur feelin better.

TD, sorry for your loss. How old was ur niece? At the hospital last night there was a bulletin board outside Chuck's mom's room all about Sepsis. While I was reading it, I thought, you come to the hospital to get better and then can get something that kills u. Its a scary thing. Sorry your family had something like this happen.

I got home from KY around 2:00 AM on Monday. Stopped to eat in Columbus OH and just as we were ready to leave, my friend got tornado warnings on her phone. The manager said the area was NE of us moving away and they had a policy that all employees and customers are to seek shelter in their coolers if necessary. We waited around awhile because it was raining so hard, but left as soon as it slacked off. Drove in the rain most of the rest of the way home.
Chuck's mom went to the nursing home last night. She was not happy, hopefully she'll get better and be able to go home.

Posted by bigtimberkennel on 03-29-2017 12:29 PM:

Thanks all,she was only 27,we weren't real close but still was Pete's daughter.Ain't heard anything yet on arrangements.
