pups

Talked to Troy Young yesterday and he said that he turned a coon loose for his John II and Hillbilly Millie pups. Troy said that they ran and treed like they have been doing it all of their lives he said they have big track mouths and are hard chop mouth tree dogs. These pups are 5 mos old. Good looking, big mouths, chop mouth tree dogs and only 5 mos old.....can't ask for much more........Tim

absence

Sorry about being out of the loop for a while. We had a storm come through yesterday afternoon that dropped over 3 inches of rain and had 70 mph winds, trees down everywhere and the electricity has just come back on, a lot of homes still without electricity in this area.........Tim

WoW!

This summer has been a bad one for storms, we've had our share around here too. ... I am assuming no one got hurt ..... glad you are ok .....

weather

Steve,
This has been a weird year for the weather, upper 90's for a wk then hard rain for a couple of days then back to the heat then back to the rain over and over and over......

Talked to Tony Simmons a little while ago, he told me about his little female, sired by John II and out of Johnny Yoder's Kit female, and how she placed 2nd last Sat at Prairie Home, Mo. Tony said that he had 1st and 1st on a circle tree that if the coon would have been seen he would have won 1st. He says that she is a real tree dog that you have to drag off the trees. He plans on keeping her in the hunts until he finishes her..........Tim

Posted by BRAYMOND on 07-22-2010 06:12 AM:

CAMO

Took him out tonight for a couple, first one 873 yds come treed and older dog backed him and 2 eyes and a ring tail lookin back at me. Second one was basicly the same but couldn't find the coon. Put up a couple of pics in am.
p.s. did I say LOUD and probably 100 - 110 a minute the hole time till i got to him.

Do you have a female out of Hillbilly x Posie? What did you breed her to?

female

Yes, I have a female out of Posie and Hillbilly. I bred her to my GR NT John II dog and from all reports it was an outstanding cross. The pups are 5 mos old and most are running and treeing from drags to turned loose coon to being hunted by themselves (and treeing wild coon). I like the cross........Tim

Posted by Smoke on 07-22-2010 11:37 AM:

I might breed mine to John II. Just weened a litter from Deans Blue Mose. Mine is a NT CH.

female

Smoke,
I can give you names and numbers of guys with pups out of my female and John II, they really like them.

Your cross from Mose should be a good one from all that I have heard about him and I am sure your female will contribute her fair share.........Tim

Posted by Smoke on 07-22-2010 03:09 PM:

I'll be looking you up. Probably wait till her spring heat cycle. Maybe sometime when Darren Batterson goes down I'll hitch a ride and check him out.

Hunt

Went hunting last night with Damon and D J Farrell, they had Rowdy (Turk x Katie) and a young female (Turk x Jude). Doug linn took MO (Turk x Magic) and I took Ruby. We made two turn outs , 5 trees and 6 coon. Dogs looked real good, Rowdy is for real..........Tim

Posted by bluetickman4 on 07-23-2010 12:40 AM:

Last night

D.J. and I really enjoyed the hunt. That last ditch was the easiest walking I've had in a long time. I don't think Doug or I even broke a sweat. Although if you and DJ are gonna walk that far with a camera in your pocket , you might want to take some pictures. And your camera made it home safe with us!

Doug it was real nice meeting you, call anytime and we'll go for a hunt.

Braymond,
Thought that I would let you know that Camo is a full brother to Tony Simmon's female ( Camo is a Year younger). Tony says that he should finish his female soon. Good luck guys and keep those young dogs in the woods........Tim

Damon,
Bring my camera to the hunt in Coal Camp sat night. If you work Rowdy on the bench I will show him for you.......Tim

Just remind me its in the console cuz I'll probably forget. I'll try and work with Rowdy but I need some pointers from you and Doug. I really appreciate your guy's help.

I've got DJ's girlfriend talked into going hunting tonight! Going to take Rowdy for some alone time.
