Well guys and gals doesnt look like we are going to make it to Oaks. They just called my dad to go to Wyoming til after Christmas and I have to stay and take care of the dogs while they are gone. I have tried to find someone to feed them for me but no luck. Gas prices are too high also...dont think we could even afford the fuel...they are projecting $3.00 a gallon for the end of August and its already $2.49 here a gallon....ridiculous if ya ask me...I guess there is always next year.

Hobo I ll give ya a call to let ya know of some guys that are goin to be up there from around here...so you can get those fellars there pups. Lemme check with em and I ll call ya with the info.

Skinner, Darla is home now. She is in real good shape and was doin Lowell a pretty good job up north, however, she needs a lot of work down here, lol, always my luck, lol, nothin but boot leather though ...right? lol we ll keep puttin her in the woods and see how she turns out. Huggy is still doin a decent job. by the end of coon season I might actually own a coondog lol.

Talked to DK the other day for quite a while....he lacks one win to Grnite both Toby and Sassy. Havent heard yet but He was goin' to a hunt with Toby just the other nite. Hope he got him finished out. Real good lookin dog with a big mouth. Bred right too. He is building quite a stable of females too. Good luck with em Dk.

Yes I still have Daisy..She's at my parents and doing great.they raised two pups off of her and my Boone dog.

Hobo I bet Maverick goes fast. Someone will get a nice hound. Huntings been fair. Nights are getting a little cooler but the skeeters are rough. Feel like little needles when they get you.

Anybody heard from the Walkerfied's?

Congrats DK with Toby. Did you get to hunt with Dan Sr.?

Skinner I had 3 calls and one e-mail on him within 45 mins of posting him for sale.A guy from Southeast Va is suppose to get him Saturday and try him for awhile.

Haven't heard anything out of Walkerfied.

I don't think those pic's are of the same dog.

The top pic looks like it might have a lil touch of Mutt in it and the bottom pic looks like its off of Hi.

Thats Highball in the top pic and the pup is the one I kept off Hi x Hanna. Hard to tell them apart at a distance. Mutt is about 65 lbs. I have'nt snapped many photo's lately as I have to swat skeeters with both hands lol. I put the mutts on a 30ft chain and let them waller in the grass awhile during the day. I saw you at Pappy's earlier and went to chat. Waited a little while thought you might come in but no one was at home.

Scotty maybe he will have a bad night and you end up with him anyhow. I tried a dog two nights in a row. Was wondering if she had ever seen a coon. Next weekend took her and she looked like a world champ Hunting has been limited. I have a couple of single sisters, a mom and a mother-in-law all within a mile of the house so you can imagine the chores to do lol. Don't mind though I love all of them. Have got some decent nights in though. Corn was really bad this year. Dried up and got rock hard before the ears matured. Seems to be a few coons though.

Yeah maybe so !! Yeah I bet you have a lot to do....Thats a good thing that you help them out..We haven't had a lot of rain either so the corn dryed up fast and so did the soybeans..Good luck huntin and don't tree'em all ..

Hi All!!!

Thank God it is getting cooler and we can get back to doing some real hunting. That is if the poison ivy doesn't kill us. We went last Friday night and both ended up in the river. I got the bright idea to assist Dan with getting the dogs up a steep bank. I did get the dogs up, right before I fell in. lol Anyway we both ended up with ivy or oak or something. He always gets it, this however is the first time I have ever had it my life. I think that he is contagious and I also think he can keep this crap. I've always hated being allergic to mosquito bites, they are nothing. I probably have the mildest case in history, but it still sucks and is not going away quick enough for my tastes. Despite all of this, I can't wait for this weekend. Back to the woods!!! I think the dogs have brain washed me. lol Hope everyone is well!!!

P.S. Huggy is doin good and is turning into a whale of a tree dog. All of his early faults have disappeared and we are now excited to see some new ones rise up! lol He is gonna make a REAL NICE dog guys..nicest pup I have raised ...EVER!...Cant wait til we get a full coon season on him. Glad Kaylee started this...I get to write a little and she can do the rest. lol...talk to everyone later.
