Hope the antibiotics kick in and u get feeling better, HB. I'd like to ride on the North Country trail, but you're not allowed. Probably get arrested if they caught you.
Got the shedding blade out today and worked on the horses some more. Wanted to ride, but it was pretty windy. Jas is good in the wind USUALLY, but since I haven't ridden her since February, didn't feel like taking a chance. The worst I ever got hurt on a horse was on a 3 yo that got spooky in the wind. I did a flying unplanned dismount into the top rail of my roundpen. Broke a couple of ribs and punctured a lung. Did it on Good Friday afternoon and was ICU until Easter afternoon. Had to stay in the hospital almost a wk.

wet moronin here had a bad storm move through in the late moronin hrs hard rain and damageing wind in areas went out at 6'30 had to help a guy drag a small tree outa the road below the house tree limbs everywhere

It was beautiful here today. Should have rode horse, but walked on the NCT with a friend. Have 92 more miles to go. The farmer that owns the fields besides us is planting something out by his place, Chuck said probably oats. Hope he plants corn in the fields around here. We got a new neighbor across the rd, we think he'll let us hunt coon on his property. Even if he doesn't, we don't think he'll shoot the dogs if they do go on his property. The other guy was CRAZY, we never went over there when he was up to camp.

Nice night to take the dogs out. They treed 2 coon.
Chuck's Jeep has been making a noise when he puts it in 4 wheel drive. Had it ckd out today and they said it was the universal joint. We bought some xtra coverage when we bought it so we have to pay $100 to get it fixed. It's a 2012 with less than 40,000 miles....think he got a lemon. It had less than 36,000 miles on it, but we had it over 36 mons, when something went wrong with it. They wanted $600 to fix it. We got them to do it for $200.

It rained here off and on....sometimes REALLY HARD! We were in Marienville when it poured...the main st (Rt 66) looked like a river.
Thanks for asking about Chuck's mom, HB. Guess today was a wake up call for his family. His sister and brother decided to bring her home for Easter, but things didn't go well. She's ok, but they found out they will need someone there 24/7 if they decide to bring her home now.

Posted by hillbilly56 on 04-17-2017 02:29 AM:

hope she gets to doing better keeping them home sometimes helps them want to keep going that's what my wife does is in home care she does it on her own not through a agency she hasn't work for 2 mnths but going to a sister of the lady she was watching it can be expensive keepin them home but a bit cheaper than a nurseing home but medicare won't pay any thing on useing privte people i can send you a pm if you want on some things that you need to watch if she has to go to a nurseing home my wifes family went through
