Thaks a million for setting us up with Smoke. We had a blast last night and if we had owned him for more than a hour we might have pulled off another win on him.
Dad told me I pulled the trigger to fast on one tree but by the last half of the hunt I had him figured out pretty good.
I really think that he had first and first on allmost every dump but we played it safe and took mostly second and second all night.
Had a few bad breaks and drew some minus but give me a month and we will be back with the guns smokin. Timmy

Hunts

Didn't do any good at Sweet Springs with Ruby on Friday, took Brandy to Coal Camp and won NT CH with 850+ on Sat. She looked good for just weaning pups, the walker men that I drew out with really liked the way she treed and held pressure.........Tim

Sounds like your young females are doing fine. Both are out of Kit, Chica is the oldest and sired by B & D Crook and Sally is a John II pup (littermate to Barry Raymond"s Camo dog). Looks like Kit will be a good reproducing female. Keep those young dogs in the woods and it won't be long until we see them in the hunts........Tim

Sounds like Zeke is doing well, he should get better each night in the woods, just keep him out with good dogs. If I can't put a young dog in the woods with something better than they are I will not take them. They are in a learning mode and you don't want them learning something bad. You are going at it right, keep up the good work......Tim

Made 2 dumps and seen 2 coon in the first tree but couldn't find anything in the second one. Man was it hot, took Smoke to the creek to cool off and he just laid down with just his head sticking out.
Decided that was enough for the night as hot as it was.
We did have a good corn field race and ole Smoke held pressure while Lincoln was comming and going. I don't think Lincoln could even smell the coon in the first tree.

Just got off the phone with Jim Combs, he had a call from Indiana about how well Mr Kerchoff's pup, out of Jim's Kate female and John II, was doing. One of the smartest pups that he has ever raised.

I have received numerous calls and PM's about this litter, it seems to have been an outstanding cross........Tim

I haven't been on in a few days and wanted to say Congrats on your win Sat. w/ Brandi. Man coons were moving good that night in the drizzle. We'd walk in to a tree and see coons everywhere. Rowdy was doing really good but I got called with about an hour left to hunt and had to get to the er at Ft. Leonarwood. Shanda finally popped him out. I couldn't be happier. I'll see you soon Damon.

Made a few dumps tonight and he looked great, real tree dog. Last dump drifter was 137 yds treed and Camo was split treed 343 yds holding preasure with the meat, very happy!!!!!!!!!!!
Here are some pics and video. Oh yeh, 11 months old and only a dozen times in the woods. Did I mention I am veeeeeerrrrrrry hhhhhaaaapppppyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hunt

Went to Marshall last night, every thing was going along just fine when Brandy got 1st and 1st on a slick tail, she suckered two other dogs in on the tree. Hank Taber's little female (Lace) got to hunt by herself for 1 1/2 hrs. Lace treed 3 singles while hunting alone and won NT CH.

It was one of those times that I should have kept my mouth shut, I priced Brandi and now she is on her way to NE Iowa, Good luck with her Justin..........Tim

Had a good hunt last night Tim. Looks like I need to do a little slick tail training. Haven't worried about it cause she has done it very few times but I guess it is time for a reminder course. Had fun pleasure hunting and congrats to Justin on getting a nice female.

Thanks Tim! I am looking forward to hunting her. Just send the AKC and PKC papers as soon as you can. It should say on the PKC papers how much she has won so far.

It was nice pleasure hunting with you and Chris. Too bad the nite hunt had to end early but that is the way it goes sometimes. It was nice meeting you Chris!!
