Had a blast

I sure enjoyed being out with the mule's in full moon Nice night and good dog work. As always a very good time. The pictures i got are not as good as Aubreys. With all the flash's i was really seeing stars.

At it again

Went out again made a drop with Chief and Jr. They went about 100 yards and treed.

Chance and Sadie went out 500 yards and treed by a guys house down in the valley. These hills are not no fun on foot could have used the mules here.

I was thinking about going tonight but i don't think a coon would like to go up a tree anyway. Maybe tomorrow night. And Scott Tatter is sure looking good. I thought you were in hidding i have not seen any pictures lately. I hope all is well. Maybe see you this fall somewhere.

Opener

With the high winds i went to a big valley. There was a corn field in about quarter mile the dogs struck ran a hard track got treed with the meat. Treed about a mile and a half from the truck. Anyway nice night for a walk but sure would of been nice to own a mule about that time. lol

Thought I would take this time to post a few of the updates we've received over the last week or so......

Aaron and Gabe Solum sent this update on their Ox & Rain pup, Solum's Hot Thunder'N Ben. Keep up the good work with him, guys!
"We are very excited about Ben, he has been barking tree for about 2 months on a drag we set with a coon hide. We showed him a live coon in a cage and he went crazy over it. We have not let him out in the woods yet but plan to soon."

Season Opener 2011

We have other commitments this weekend, however, Aubrey was able to sneak out for a couple hours with the old man last night......Clyde was very happy to go, I don't think he's hardly been out since last season! Here's pics:

Looks like you had some fun Aubrey!! My season opens tonight FINALLY!!!!! :-) Skeeter is going to get a ton of training the next few weeks! My vacation dates I put in for have been awarded. Can't wait to get some fur down to Moon she has been looking so good the past couple weeks!! Krista and I got her out a few times since Aubrey and I hunted together at Wilton.

Glad to see everyone's updates. Looks like everyone is having a good time and getting a few treed!

Got another update from the Solums today on their Ben pup off of Ox & Rain....
"Last Night (Oct. 15) we took Ben out for the first time ever. He was all alone and treed his first coon. We are very excited!"

Aubrey took Ox and Rattle out for a little bit last night. Rattle has only been out a few times, but did a nice job and was blowing the top off!

Finally got out for the first time due to a lot of work. First drop Skeeter and Moon got split far apart. Skeeter had four in a line fence, shot two kits down to her. Second drop, struck and treed very quick... Big sow, short track!!! Third drop, cold track but pushed it impressively fast and had a big sow on the outside of a den tree!!! All in all a wonderful night even with these strong winds!

Then spent some quality time with my Karter man before he drifted off to sleep!!

Monday night Aubrey, Abram, and Nora went out with our friend Jacob and his 2 boys. Jacob has a littermate to Ox. They had a great time, and Rambler and Ox treed 4 coon....1 for each kid.

Aubrey went out again last night. Bagged 15 coon with Ox & Bubba. Bubba participated all night, he didn't get any pics of him, but he did a nice job for a young pup.
