Hi Matt, I just saw where you lost Stinger. Wow , thats a blow for you and everyone else. I am glad I got to see him in action last fall. He sure was a tree dog. Of course you know how much I enjoyed starting his son Kid. He was a Natural. And what a balanced-track and tree-dog he is. I know Ole Stinger threw alot of those. More people should have bred to him while he was here. I am truly sorry for your loss.Take care. Billy

Thanks everyone he sure will be missed here.you never knew he was on the place and if he did start acting up just call his name and in his dog box he would go.I`m sure he has left a positive impact on his offspring.The way Stinger was bred he couldn`t help not to reproduce good ones.Their is some very nice sons and daughters out of him to carry on.I have 6 pups from him and Fly and I`ll be picking something for me out of this cross.I had 8 spoke for out of this cross.I`ll post some pictures of these little ones they sure have some outstanding color in them.Thanks Again.

Honey

Hey Matt! We got Honey on a bear this week and she did GREAT!!!! We had the bear treed once and it came out, then bayed it up 4 times. Honey was there for all of it, I was very impressed since it was her first bear! She has a great voice and seems to have tuff feet for here in the mountains. curious as how her litter mates do on big game! Anyway it was great meeting you and Jeremy I'll keep in touch with Honeys progress here on big game.

Good to hear you put her on her first bear.I always thought she would make a great bear hound.her littermates are top notch hounds also.Mike fairchild has Slewfoot,Dennis Upson has Skipper,I have been told they are real nice.I bet you`ll have a great rig dog with her she has a good nose on her.I lost track of one in Ind.but was making a good young dog.theirs a good one in ala. being used on coon and I hear he is making a real nice hound.thanks for keeping us up to date on her progress.

The pups are looking good.couple of them are starting to get some color on them.it sure was cold this morning.this was the coldest here -2 and when I was driving this morning it read -9.All the hounds are looking good.thanks for all the calls and keeping me informed on your hounds,I appraiciate the calls take care matt.

Congrats Billy Kooser and Tom Jennings and Kidd.

Hey way to go guys on getting a split tonight.Tom said Kidd looked good.this was his first time hunting in South Carolina and he took the trip real nice Tom said these Mosquito Creek hounds look better in the south than they do here in Ohio.LOL
hey Congrats again and Tom the 12 hour drive back home will be a little easier with a little heavier wallet.

Hi Matt, Thanks for the pic and compliment. Ole Stinger would be proud! His son just placed in the finals of his first PKC hunt. And a good sized hunt it was. Tree Daddy should be proud too as Kid is his grand pup. Tom is on a roll. He did so good at the Winter Classic with Legend, won his cast with Image on Friday night and then placed in the finals with Kid. I dont know who is tougher-Tom or those Bluetick hounds he turns loose. LOL. I am happy that Kid got a chance to do good. I knew when I started him that he was special and Tom and you have given him a chance to prove it. Kid is another quality hound from Mosquito Creek Kennels. Take care, Billy

Your the one that put the time into starting Kid.I think you ought to get serious with him this year.we have some big hunts close.You may be surprised how far he may go.I really like Kidd and I feel if he is pushed he could go to the next level.You know he`s not going to win all the time but he sure has the tools to go far.Hows his pups doing out of the only litter out of him?

Matt this is jason from gaylord mi first off sorry to hear about your loss i know his son that i have is gonna be a top coyote hound for me . You got me thinkin about one of those pups , something about your hounds a guy cant have enough of them. Is there any females that are not spoken for.

Hi Matt, You are right about Kid. He needs to get into some bigger hunts. I hope Tom will do that. I would like to see him qualified for the world hunt. I know Tom is busy with his 2 dogs. And I understand that. Wish I was 25 again and could handle him but those days are gone. I just couldnt keep up especially with this fixed up leg. We will see what happens. As far as the 3 pups by Kid and Tonie. I sold mine to a bear hunter but he was doing good running and treeing hard on turned loose coon. He had a loud hard chop on tree. Petie has a male that was doing great runnig and treeing hard but he laid him up when the deer started rutting. He doesnt like to shock his dogs. And he had never ran a deer. He is giong to be really nice and is loud on track and tree. Timmy lost the only female somehow. I want to breed my Pearl female to Kid and I think Pete want to breed the Geronimo female to him. She is really crankin. Oh well take care. Billy

I think you guys should call him Rocket. I only saw him go on one night for one dump. The Garmin is a fantastic tool, I was amazed at the way that dog went hunting & hunted what you put him in. That sucker will flat cover the ground. I told Tom he must have a rocket up his rear end! LOL He got wooded up that night on a big den about 100 yards in behind a house. It was a nasty night as far a weather, Tom was leary about turning him loose again. His kind can get across that black top in short order before a man can get his hands on him which is rolling the dice with a road every sqaure mile. Best wishes to you guys & the Kid in 2011!

Jason,If I had 14 I could move all of them.I do have a female off of Ruby and Tree Daddy that would cross up real well on Hoss.she is leggy and acts real good.she is my pick of that litter.this cross is acting real good.
Billy i`m sure we`ll get Kid aka Rocket in some hunts.thats funny Vic.I`ve seen Kid stroke a few tracks.he`s really coming into his own and is a real nice hound.Billy, are you going to performance Kid next year? Just wondering, he should reproduce real good.take care.

I did a recount on my Stinger X Fly pups and I have 4 females and 2 males.they sure are growing real nice.

Hi Vic and Matt, Thanks for the nice comments on Kid. That might be his new nick name --- Rocket. Lol. He treed alot of coons here in cutover, multiflra rose and grapevines but when I took him to Toms last fall and I saw how he operates in that flat open woods even I was impressed. He was born for that country. I do really think he will produce well. Lots of good dogs behind him thats for sure. Take care. Billy
