Speed

We have been having a lot of dry weather here. Still been hunting a lot. Speed is really showing his age. This summer has been rough on him. I believe his breeding days are over. He has been a great dog and reproducer. Now he is living the retired life at a ripe old age of 13! We have 21 straws drawn off him that we will use in the future. I want to thank everyone that bred to him, hunts dogs out of him and believing in him. I have met a lot of people fooling with these dogs over the years and hope to continue in the future. Some of the best friends a feller could ever have!!!

Hunting

We have had a good season so far! Been to Canada in the Spring and Fall. Only bad news was we lost a dog and got one hurt really bad. Had to take a trip to the vet and is recovering well!!! Season opened here Monday. Going to be coming to the BBCHA Fall round up next weekend. It will be my first time attending this hunt and am excited to get to visit with some old friends and coon hunt some!!! I will be hunting Lily or Spot both Speed females!! I haven't entered Spot in a hunt and Lily has just been in one. So hopefully they will be ready after a little tuning up this week.

BBCHA Fall Round up

This was my first time attending the Fall Round Up due to it usually falls in bear season however this year it didn't so we got to attend. I hunted Spot and had a great time! I want to thank Preston Cabe and Vince Hocker for keeping me in line all weekend. I got to hunt with some nice dogs and meet a lot of nice people! We did manage to get a 4th place on Friday night with Spot. I got to visit a lot of my buddies I usually just get to talk to on the phone. All in all a GREAT weekend. Thank you to all involved!!!
