What Jesus Wants More Than Your Service

Hello all ! Its a real pretty mornin here in the riverbottoms this mornin Everywhere ya look ya can see the hands of the LORD and his creation. Lets go with the message for the day. What Jesus Wants, More than Your Service
“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” - 1 Corinthians 1:9
Discipleship is fellowship with Christ, knowing Christ, loving Christ, abiding in Christ.
I’m afraid that too many have joined the movement of Christianity rather than having surrendered to the man of Christianity. These people are doing things for Christ, rather than sitting at the feet of Christ.
Now, there’s nothing wrong with service, and we ought to serve God, but we need to learn that we must minister to Jesus Christ as His disciple before we can minister to others. Jesus values the time you spend with Him far more than the things you do for Him. Do you know that?
Before you head out this morning or go to bed tonight, make sure that you make a date with Jesus. for a little one on one .Tell him whats up,He will take care of you ...God Loves yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers for all.

John 3:20-21

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Making The First Thing The First Thing

Good Mornin ! Give someone a call today just to say hi. That will make there day. Now the message for the day. Making the First Thing the First Thing

“Who can understand his errors? Cleanse Thou me from secret faults.” - Psalm 19:12

I believe in church attendance, but if your relationship with the Lord and with others is suffering, then you need to stay at home and get on your face before God.

Sometimes a businessman will get very prosperous in his business—and at first it seems a good thing. He tells his wife, “Honey, you know how I couldn’t give you much when we got married? Well, now I can.” But soon the pursuit of a nice home and nice things consume him. A sadness descends upon his wife and children, and they lament, “Oh, Daddy….Oh, Husband…what we would give to just have you spend time with us.”

What tragedy it would be if what you do for Jesus keeps you from Jesus. Stop the cycle today. If you know you’re a workaholic, stop it. If you know your walk is far from God, get it right. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom Ron ... Prayers for all.

Studying Under The Best

Good Mornin Everyone ! Another day closer to winter . I like the fall time of the year . The Leaves are starting to change color and the Riverbottom air smells like it to. It wont be long. Now to the message for the day... Studying Under the Best

“I will worship toward Thy holy temple, and praise Thy name for Thy lovingkindness and for Thy truth: for Thou hast magnified Thy word above all Thy name.” - Psalm 138:2

There was a man who loved to study the Bible, and every time he came to something he didn’t understand, he asked his friend Charlie, “What does this verse mean?” One day in his Bible study, the Holy Spirit said, “Why don’t you ask Me? I’m the one who taught Charlie.”

Now, I thank God for the Bible scholars who teach God’s Word, but the same God that teaches these men and women is the One who wants to teach you.

As you read the Bible, I want you to ask God to help you answer these questions: 1) Is there a lesson to learn? 2) Is there a sin to avoid? 3) Is there a blessing to enjoy? 4) Is there a promise to claim? 5) Is there a new thought to carry with me? God will give you all those thoughts. and tell you about each one ,,Just think about it... God Loves yas,,, We Love Yass,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,, Ron... Prayers for all !

Good Mornin Lets pray for those people thats gona be affected by this big hurricane thats gona hit Florida. My brother Bob lives on Merritt Island where its gona hit hard and he says hes not leaving his home .Ive tryed to talk to him but he says hes not leaving his home.Ive checked and the state of Florida has this special act that I can call and police will take him from his home to a safe place and hold him for 72 hrs. .he is probly gona be mad at me for a long time but I love my brother... please say a prayer that he he leaves and I dont have to do that. Now lets get to the message for the day Geterdone ! 1 Cor. 15:51-54 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet will sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory." We live this life only once, so let's do what we need to do while we still can! Let's not put off the good we are called to do! Don't put off forgiving others -- forgive now! Don't put off sharing with that neighbor with whom you've been wanting to share for years -- share now! Don't put off going forth and doing the great things God has called you to do -- do them now! These are the final days of the harvest -- let's get out into the field and finish the work that needs done so that we might all be able to rejoice together in the end!! Police Officer Shot and Died.

St Louis County Police Officer Mr Blake Snyder was shot and died today while doing what he loved to do keeping people safe . He leaves a wife and 2 year old baby.keep this family in your prayers. being a police officer in this world today has changed you dont know if you will go home after your shift or not.The things that you have to put up with { Hands Up Dont Shoot } makes me wana puke !
ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Police officer Don Re is known for his poignant blog posts. His post about the senseless death of a child went viral last year. Now he is weighing in on another death. This time it was another St. Louis area who died in the line of duty.

Officer Blake Snyder was shot and killed early Thursday morning. He was responding to a call for a disturbance in south St. Louis County. An 18-year-old has been charged with murder for the shooting. Snyder’s partner returned fire, critically injuring the teen. He is expected to survive.

This is Officer Don Re’s emotional take on Thursday’s events and what this weekend has in store for police.

That cop who died today…

My coworker walked into my office and I told him, only half jokingly, that if one more person pissed me off this morning, I was probably going to snap.

Some of the recruits had been pushing my buttons with their repeated mistakes and lack of attention to detail.

I was in a foul mood.

“You’re not going to like this then,” he continued.

“The cop shot this morning died.”

Just like it has for eighteen years now, those words hit me like an unexpected punch in the gut.

I knew about the shooting, but assumed or hoped that he would be okay.

Surely he’d recover with time, just like many other people who get shot do.

Nope.

Another police officer is dead.

A young man with a lot of life ahead of him is dead.

A young father is dead.

A young wife is a widow. She may spend days or weeks or months hoping it’s not true and that her young husband will be home soon.

A two year old will never toddle into his biological dad’s arms again or ever draw pictures of a police man and hand it to his daddy with pride.

“The cop shot this morning died.”

How many times can one hear those or similar words and still go on working as a police officer in spite of it?

Shortly after I heard the news, my own wife texted an emoji to my phone. It was the one where the face is blowing a heart shaped kiss.

Without words, I knew she knew, and that she was thinking about me. She was concerned for me and for her own kids.

We don’t have time for cops to be killed right now. We already have to rearrange our lives to accommodate the circus that is the second presidential debate in St. Louis, and now we have to prepare to bury a fellow officer.

Either event alone is difficult; their simultaneous occurrence is a mess.

Still, we will do it.

We will take care of these events because we must. Somebody has to.

County officers will work the debate alongside us City officers.

We will stand tall with black mourning bands on our badges, thinking about our lost comrade and our own determination to continue on with this ****ing job. We will do it right in the face of people who hate Trump or Hillary or cops or just everything in general and who will take that hate out on the front line officers.

We’re easy targets.

We’re easy scapegoats for a system that many people don’t trust or like or respect anymore.

Hate that your taxes are too high?

Hate email scandals?

Hate billionaires who are going to build walls and deport immigrants?

Take it out on the police officers.

You’ll never get close enough to the people who truly cause your life misery, but we’re right here.

Spit in our faces.

Call our black officers vulgar, disgusting names.

Tell female officers you want to meet them off-duty and rape them.

Tell us you want us dead or that you’ll find us and do harm to our families.

This is what officers have to listen to during protests. Every time.

Pretend that we don’t hate email scandals or corrupt billionaires or have to pay taxes or face the same problems as every other schmuck does once we get home from work.

Pretend we’re not unique individuals who share your concerns and hopes for a better future.

We’ll be there for you anyway.

We’ll have our days off cancelled and our shifts lengthened so that everybody can enjoy their debate related shenanigans.

We do it so you can enjoy parades and fairs and professional sports events too.

It’s tiring sometimes, but we do it.

We do it even when we’re deflated by news that a local cop has died.

That somebody who was doing what you do every day has been murdered.

The silver lining is that I’m no longer angry and on the cusp of snapping.

Priorities.

I’m alive and my recruits are alive.

We’ll use this as a learning tool. Mistakes and lack of attention to detail when you’re out of the Academy can get you killed.

They need to know that.

They need to get that through their skulls.

My kids can still draw me pictures of police officers and hand them to me with pride.

My wife can still expect me to come home after a long shift.

My dogs will bark at me when I do come home, and I will be annoyed at them, but less so.

I’m thankful to have my health and my life.and Jesus Christ in my life

My problems are irrelevant right now, because I wasn’t that cop who died today. God Loves Yas ,,, We Love Yas ,,,Have a Blessed day,,, Your friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron

Good Friday Mornin Its been a good week now were on to the weekend .Lets get some GODS work done ... now to Fridays message.

The Divine Exchange, Part 2

“But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” - 1 Corinthians 1:30

The church is not an organization with Jesus Christ as its president. The church is an organism with Jesus Christ as its head. We are in Him and He is in us. The victory He won on the cross was for us.

When Jesus went to the cross, He wasn’t fighting the battle for Himself. He didn’t need to overcome Satan. He fought it on your behalf. He made the transaction, the divine exchange:

Jesus became the Son of man that you might become a son of God. He took your sins that you might take His innocence. He became guilty that you might become acquitted. He was filled with despair that you might be filled with joy. He took your shame that you might take His glory. He suffered the pains of hell, that you might know the joys of heaven.

“What language shall I borrow to thank Thee, dearest Friend,
For this Thy dying sorrow, Thy pity without end?
O make me Thine forever, and should I fainting be,
Lord, let me never, never outlive my love for Thee.” God Loves yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ...Prayers ,,Need any ? Let us know

Now, What Is Faith

Good Mornin and Columbus Day! I had a good weekend My son Jeremy, granddaughter Sophie ,Grama and me cleaned my garage,Man where does a person come up with junk that they dont need ? Jeremy made me feel like I was a hoarder. There was so much junk in my garage that we threw away. But one thing thats nice is my garage looks bigger now and lots of room that i havent seen in a while.lets get on to the message for this day.. Now, What Is Faith?

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” - Hebrews 11:1

A nobleman’s son became ill, so he sought Jesus to heal him. When he found Jesus, he asked Him to come to his home. But instead of physically going to the boy’s bedside, Jesus healed him by His word. John 4:50b says, “And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.”
Not a wonder, not a sign, not a vision, not angels playing tic-tac-toe on his ribs, or cold chills going up and down his spine…the man believed Jesus’ Word and went on his way.
Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible.

Doubt sees the obstacles; faith sees the way. Doubt sees the darkest night; faith sees the day. Doubt dreads to take a step; faith soars on high. Doubt questions who believes; faith answers, “I”!

Life follows faith like night follows day. There is no life without faith. With JESUS CHRIST in our lives we have it all.I Love JESUS with all my heart, and my hope is that one day if you dont have a releationship with Jesus that you get one ,,,God Loves Ya,,, We Love yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom,,,Ron,,, Prayers for you all...

Are You A Part Of The Second Creation ?

Hello ! Its Raining her in the riverbottoms this morning. We need a little just to freshen things up. Now to the message for the day... Are You a Part of the Second Creation?

“And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.” - Colossians 1:18

There are two beginnings in creation. The first beginning occurred when God created the heavens and the earth. He spoke and—just like that—from His fingertips flew this vast, measureless universe. How simple it was for God to create this universe.

The second beginning is when His creature, man, becomes a new creation in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:17). When God reconciled us through His Son, it took every drop of His blood. There was no other way to be saved apart from the death of Jesus—the perfect sacrifice.

None of us were here for the first Creation. But we can all be a part of the Second Creation! If you have received the salvation Jesus bought with His blood—thank Him that He’s made you a new creature…a second creation! Why did GOD do this ? Because He Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day ,,, Your friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron... Prayers work and Im sending one for each of yas...

Hold Fast...and Kill The Lion

Hello all! 45 degrees here this mornin. Its nice. Theres some snow comin but Im not sure when. for now lets go to the message for the day. Hold Fast…and Kill that Lion!

“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.” - Psalm 34:4

The times that will most strengthen and enrich your life are those when you go barehanded, armed with only the Spirit of God, against the red lion of hell—and prevail. Remember Samson, who killed a lion with his bare hands, then ate honey out of its carcass (see Judges 14:6-9). Whatever is hounding and threatening your life right now, you must hold fast to the Word of God that promises deliverance and hope, power and strength, wisdom and guidance.

Look beyond the physical evidence to the spiritual promise of God. Problems are opportunities for God’s power to be manifest in your life. God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,,Your Friend In Christ,,, From The Riverbottom,,,Ron ,, Need prayer just ask

A Source That Will Never Dry Up

Well its Sunday I wont be able to make it to church today due to working a double at work. I have worked 11 doubles in the last 13 days and I have to work another tomorrow and my last one is the 24th and I will be done hopefully. Lets get to the message for today... A Source that Will Never Dry Up
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:22-23
Do you know what Lamentations 3:22-23 means? It means that God never runs out of compassion.
Have you ever gone to Niagara Falls and watched the water rampaging with torrential force? I’ve thought, “Surely the water is one day going to dry up.” But it hasn’t. Friend, greater than Niagara is the compassion of the Lord. His compassions fail not.
In 1923, Thomas O. Chisholm wrote one of the greatest hymns of all time and this stanza is the refrain of this truth, “Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.”
God is faithful. What are you facing today? Dear friend, lean upon Him and His faithfulness. He will never, no never, leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5) God Loves Yas,,, We Love Yas,,, Have a Blessed Day,,, Your Friend In Christ,,,From The Riverbottom Ron ...Prayers for all
