I ain't got no licence anymore to hunt or fish HB,state kind of ticked me off so I never renewed mine.
Hunting season isn't going well here. Can't see a doe and couldn't find enough pts on the last buck a saw.
Haven't had the dogs out much either because Chuck fell and hurt his ribs. The last night we had them out, the only thing they probably found was a bear. Didn't see it, but Ruby came back with her hair up, Dandy, who is more a squeaker than a squaller, let out a HUGE bawl and came running back. His hair was up so much he looked like a porcupine. He growled until we got him in the Jeep.
hope chuck heals up...I quit early today .I just hate fishing in high wind.i would rather fish in the rain..the ol river gave up some of her bounty..54 today...

Well HB it is that time of year dropped down to 34 now.
yep they say gonna be cold the rest of the week if it ever stops rainin i need to get whats left of a round bale out of the feeder not much left may try to burn whats left may just start throwin some out so they don't waste a bunch of the other 1 save my square bales for later on
Thanks for the get well wishes for Chuck. Broken or bruised, they'll take time to heal.
Nice bunch of crappies, Rex. We're having some (I hope crappie and not trout) tonight for supper that we had in the freezer.
We have blue lights on their collars, HB. They got into a bear a couple of wks ago and did the same thing...barked a few times and come running back. That time the bear came after them and they hid behind Chuck while he tried to scare off the bear. The bear didn't scare, but it escorted them to the Jeep.
Raining here. Chuck's getting 2.5 doz MB 550s ready for bobcats and fishers...I think he said it comes in on the 16th.
the collar lites are nice when i have 2 differn't dogs run a differnt color lites that way you know which dog is doing if you can see them but alot easy to just pul the garmin out lol
quote:ribs broken or bruised hurt like the devil for a long time....crappie or trout...that reminded me of my youngest daughter ..when she was 4 years old..she sat down in front of the kitchen base cabinet and tore all the labels off 50 cans veggies and soup...for 2 months you didn't know what you were going to get to eat till you opened the can...it made for some interesting meals....fried chicken with tomato soup....
