Being monkey faced is not a fault. But if the judge doesnt like monkey faced dogs.....remember you are paying for their opinion of your dog. They are SUPPOSE to judge them against the standards, not their preference, but you will have judges that will do that. JUst remember there is another show down the road, and as long as your dog shows well for you and you enjoyed yourself, that is what its about.

voyd
thought you might like him since you own his dam, and owned him....he has a nice mouth, carries well.....
Matt, there isn't anything that I do or have done that helps Scooter but the dogs that are behind him makes all the difference and it could be significant if he is used the manner that he deserves. thank Voyd
Matt,
Scooter is one good looking hound. How does he hunt?
Ken

thanx ken, he does pretty well, right after I got him, he came down with ehrlichea, and it slowed him down some, I have had a fellow hunting him for me, but he has a good rough nose and knows how to use it, other than that he has been straight from the git go, just goes and trees coon...
Voyd, I can only speak for myself and not the other Jet Hammer boys but I can assure you I dont need any of that stuff out there to help what I have here. Voice, bottle heads, ears or any other department. That stuff you boys bragg on over there just dont cut it up this away. I dont want or need ANY nor will I seek out any. Matt this is in no way intended to slam your dog. I am speaking in general here. I am sick to death of the little cheap shots Voyd and all those little croneys take out there at these dogs. Hey Voyd "spin my dradel" Dave

I will say that some of the best out there are from Smokey River/Jet crosses.

POP BOTTLE NOSES, LOW MOUTHS COME IN ALL LINES I SUPPOSE. NOT KNOCKING HAMMER OR HAMMER JET BUT THESE TWO LINES ( ABOUT THE SAME ) HAVE SOME ROUGH LOOKING DOGS THAT COME OUT OF THEM. JET VIII. HAS TAKEN ON THE UTCHMAN LOOK AS WELL AS HIS ABILITY TO TREE COON IN STYLE. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT JET VIII. WITH THAT UTCHMAN BLOOD ADDED TO HIM AND MORE SO THAT JET VI. WAS WILL BE A GREAT CHANGE FOR THE JET LINE IN LOOKS FOR SURE AND ALSO IN TRACKING ABILITY AND ACURRACY. I HAVE HEARD FROM NUMBEROUS, NUMBEROUS, NUMBEROUS BLUETICKERS THAT THE JET V. DOG WAS A POWERFUL TREE DOG BUT HE WAS NOT A GOOD TRACK DOG BUT COULD LOOK GOOD IN A NITE HUNT.......

Nice looking dog, Scooter should be standing at stud, he should help some of those Hammer and Jet boys out that are tired of hunting those bottle nosed, weak mouthed yard dogs.

as far as your opinion goes, it could not matter less to me, nor does he have any liver on him whatsoever...vaught, you could hide everything you know about the bullet dogs under a thimble, and still have some room.....liver colored....lol....he is a pretty good likeness pf his sire, except for the cream trim....more than most I have seen....
show me the liver coloring.........
btw
heres a few other dogs that I have hunted with that I believe represent the monkey faced hounds well...they've also been pretty good about showin me coon in style....
ole moony
my old Frosty dog
the ole man....Vining Runnin Bullet

Re: vaught
quote:He is not a good looking hound what so ever and looks a little deformed to be honest with you. As far as what I know about the Bullet dogs you are correct and that is only because I have never owned him not that I wouldn't like to own. I don't think you are to well informed on any line and what you know could be covered with a knats A$$
