Still a little early to tell should be able to tell in about ten days it's been about 30 days , this will be the last time I breed her so I hope she takes she getting some age on her

I used to have a litter mate to Finley River Ozark Lady. His name was Brookshiers Full Blown Rage...Coon dog!! Started running and treeing at 5 months old.. That should be an awesome cross between Drifter x Scout...Alot of old blood..Jeff Jackson's female Sally, i guess is a track Driving machine..All Coon Dog Pedigree here Boys...

yea they should be some nice hounds for sure. scout is a super nice track dog and is very accurate. i took her down and hunted with drifter and they were very similar in the woods.

Hi,

Bred Drifter to Jewell yesterday. Had a good visit with Dennis. Talked about old times with Randy. Dennis is a coonhunter. So he and I like the same kind of dog. Poor Boys Sid and Poor Boys Cookie are not new names to me. I hunted with both dogs.

I judged Dryfork Ratchet in the UKC World Hunt when it was held at Wick Outdoor Works in Montgomery City, Mo He finished in the top 10.

I bred a full sister of Lonnie to Poor Boys Sid years ago.

When Zig died, I started looking for a Poor Boys Sid bred dog. I couldnt locate Randy. Jeff Wyatt found Drifter and told me about him.

Randy Singleton linebred his dogs the same way I have. Uncle to neice and vice versa. Cousin to cousin. It is the only way to hold the gene pool together. The dogs are linebred to related studs.

Jewell is a hard going, run to catch track dog. She is a hard, stand on the tree, tree dog. Her mother is Gr Ch Nt Ch Table Rock Pearl. Pearl has won many State Bench Show titles. She has won several state treeing contests. She finished her Nt Ch degree by winning 2 RQE's and finished 10th at The Battle of the Breeds hunt. She also won the 2013 MCHF Sweet Sixteen Hunt in October with a score of 625+.

Like you I was a poor boy fan back in the day when Randy had those dogs at stud. My favorite stud of all time was Spring Creek Radar which was Sids grandfather.

I think you made a great choice. I have seen and talked with guys that hunted with Drifter pups and they are way above average at young ages. I highly recommend these for the hard to please dual purpose fans.

Hi,

As you know, I am very hard to please when it comes to coonhounds. They must be a complete hound. All in one skin.

Drifter is linebred Gr Nt Ch Finley River Dan thru Gr. Nt. Ch. Finley River Dan, Jr. with the good traits of Spring Creek Radar. Radar goes back to Finley River Dan thru his mother. So every time Randy linebred his dogs, it was to Finley River Dan and Spring Creek Radar.

Finley River Dan and Spring Creek Radar have left their mark on the Walker breed. Complete coonhounds from strike to tree. They are good looking dogs also. I will not feed a sloppy, poor footed, coke bottle muzzled, greyhound headed dog.

Will be breeding some more of my females to Drifter. Keeping the females I want to cross back on Iron Man, Tuff, and the last living son out of Teddy. His name is Sugar Boy out of my Gr. Ch. Starke's Finley River Ramblin' Emma HTX.

Robert...Like you I have been breeding

dogs for a very long time. Line breeding was the core of my breeding program. When Dennis sent me a 7 gen pedigree of drifter I could not believe my eyes. He is is without a doubt the best line bred hound I have ever seen. The perfection Randy and Dennis used to get to this point is remarkable. Thats why Drifter reproduces like he does and Buzz his daddy did the same and Chainsaw before him and on up the line.

thats what great line breeding does for you it produces reproducers that produce their likeness.
You have just made one heck of a cross.

Hi,

I will be breeding Gr. Ch. Little Walnut Queen Bathsheba to Drifter when she comes in. I just missed Emma by 2 weeks or I would have bred her.

My younger females out of Zig will be bred to him, Lill and Tanna. Trap, out of Zig's sister, Dual Gr. Ch. Finley River Crystal, will be bred to him.

From these crosses, a very special pup coming this summer, 5 times linebred PKC Ch Dual Gr Ch Mears' Finley River ZOOM, a pup linebred to ZOOM 4 times, and another little pup, very dear to me, will form my future kennel of females.

that mite help some folks make up their minds. Yall need to go back and look at drifters pedigree. This would be an outcross for any line of walker dogs that you have a gyp out of. But Drifter himself is linebred. We have line bred these other hounds and line bred them on hounds that should have never been line bred on so Drifter gives you a chance to clean up your bloodline and get you a pup that will produce himself or herself.

This is a very good stud dog. And a coondog you do not want to draw in a hunt. period.
He will flat get it done in style and a meat dog with a capital M.

Hi,

Good looking pups. Finley River Chief consistency since the '60's.

Some of my crosses have Finley River Chief 100-300 times.

Finley River Dan ( son of Finley River Dan) 30-90 times.

Finley River Chief was the cornerstone of the Walker breed. JMO.

You made a very good choice. I saw Drifter in the dark with just headlights. I had no idea what dog it was. I told Dennis that dog had a head just like Poor Boys Sid, lol.

Sid was a coondog that reproduced coondogs. The good ones reproduce generation after generation.

Cripple Creek,

I will keep you up to date on this Good Lookin Male I got here off the last cross thats going to be made between Drifter and Lorie. 'Pr' Spring Creek Bounty is his name. I got a few young dogs that im workin with and plan to push a few in the future and hopefully Bounty is one of them.

theres a nice little pack of them on the ground that are babies right now and getting Robert to breed one of his nice females doesnt hurt Drifters reputation.
Drifter is a darn good stud dog. I have seen it first hand. very natural starting young dogs. extremely smart for little baby pups. send me a pic every now and then or video.
