Her pros and cons are running about 50/50 right now.
She has plenty of volume, aint gonna be no problem hearing her.
She seems to be fairly smart, she leads real good and comes when called.
So far she has been chop mouth on the ground and I really don't like a chop mouth track dog.
She will run anything that lays a track, including trucks, trains, people, other dogs, and wheelbarrows.I figure that is that shot of Lipper comming out.
I turned one coon loose in the yard back in the summer and she treed it.
I layed a drag for her about 3 weeks ago and she treed it.
I took her out once in the summer with the old dog,but she run dog track too bad.
Since then I have been taking her to the woods by herself from time to time. Here lately I been trying to get her out at least once a week.
She will always run a track of some sort when you take her to the woods and she goes hunting by herself pretty good.
I tried taking her out with the old dog again a couple weeks ago but she still runs dog tracks.
Night before last she run a deer for a little bit.
I got her down on the creek after that and she got on a coon track, but it is hard for a young dog to put a coon on the end of a track this time of the year in rough country.
Coons are traveling so far right now and with me doing most of my hunting from midnight to daylight it is hard to get her on a track right now that aint a couple hours old with the coon that made it being a mile away.

Wind was a little rough. Temp has been dropping all day. Took Sue and Lil Hi out for about two hours. Lost one in some slash water but heard a good race anyway. Beats sitting at home.

Do any of you all know if there has been any pups from the Boone semen? If so anybody know of any for sale? Thanks for any info.

Posted by Walkerfied on 01-15-2006 07:21 AM:

Hey all you guys in Boone land whats goin on ?

Not much is goin on here and thats for sure. I am hoping we get some rain this week...its been predicted but my guess is the only way they ll know for sure is if they stick their head outside and look up. lol

I see we have another JV lookin in on us. All the cynics gotta eventually find us. lol Oh well thats the way it goes I guess.

Talked to Dohoney a couple of 3 times this week and he absolutely cant keep pups. PPL are buyin em as fast as they fall out on the ground. Ole Diz is gonna do it boys, remember along time ago way back in this thread when I said remember his name...lol...he was only 7 or 8 months old then and a really outstanding pup but I had no idea he was goin to do better in the breeding pen as he did in the woods. Mike Grant just bought 2 pups out of him and they ll be delivered Walker days here at Ada. One out of David Timms Dual Grand female out of Thunder and one out of a Sackett Jr. female.

Grant has a really nice pup out of Eagle that is lookin real promising at 5 months. It will be interesting to see how he turns out.

Well guys I ll let ya go hope everyone is enjoying this part of the year and huntin alot more than I am right now. God bless and good huntin'.

S.D. I don't know of any Boone pups that have four legs on the ground today. If anyone had some for sale I'd guess it would be Mike since he owns all the straws and can get litters at his choosing. His # is 812-472-3563.

Walkerfied hope all is well. I see you guys missed the rain again. Been seeing yall on the news and all the houses and property that has been burned. Man we are praying for yall. Dad told me once that they put a crop in and it turned off dry. Had'nt rained in three months. He saw his Dad knelling on the ground out in the yard under a pecan tree. Dad thought he was picking up pecans so went over to help. He said he heard his Dad saying....Dear Lord if it don't rain in the 15 minutes we gonna lose everything we got....lol
