PGH is calling for wind gusts 50+mph tonight into tomorrow. Chuck came home this Am from checking beaver traps and said my gelding was out. I told him to get a pan of feed and I'd be right down. While I was putting on my boots, he said Dolly is out, too. That wasn't what I wanted to hear. It's hard to catch her in a stall! They were in the back of the barn. I had the feed pan and a long lead rope. Couldn't get the rope near them, but they were following me as long as they could nibble out of the pan. Got to the front corner of the barn and Chuck hadn't locked 7 in the barn so she came out the door just as the horses were heading to the shed door, as soon as they saw the dog, they took off toward the road. I thought about getting my 6mm, they must be mindreaders because they turned around and went to the back of the barn again. This time, I had 7 locked up and they followed me again to the front and went into the shed and their stalls. Chuck had to replace a couple of insulators. Didn't see any booboos on the horses, the fencer was working so not sure what happened, just hope it doesn't happen again.
Rex, I saw coon avgd $12.? at the auction. We missed the first fur pickup, going to send what we have to Canada next wk.
I can't believe u can get that kind of $ for work horses. I wonder what a Budweiser Clydesdale is worth? My friend has a Gypsy Vanner X for sale for $7,500. She's not getting any calls, another friend thinks her Gypsy is worth $35,000.
My Jas was a $25 stud fee and I wouldn't trade them horses.
34 here with 26 mph gust a dusting of snow on the roof tops i haven't went to the barn yet hope all this wind didn't blow any trees down on my fence seems like a horse that's easy to catch has a whole differnt demenier when they get out of the fence seen on the news they had a robbery yesterday & investagatein a shooting this moronin in mogantown sems like they always have something gone on up there with all those universty kids in school
All l know on the hay burner was what he said, this I will say who ever bougbt 'em had more money than since. Nice sunny start & 31 right now. Why would you pay that much for a gelding, can't breed it or get it bred.
yep nice and sunny but a bit chilly....Ridge some of the coons averaged around 8 bucks..some at 12 ...the top lots averaged a little better but still not good...coyotes were up almost 25 % from last year..the yotes are going for the trim trade...

yep some of those that are into the high dollar showing has more money than sense for sure most are doctors or folk's that have a big bussiness that makes them a millonare or close something was in my corn had it on a bale of hay found crap by the can didn't look like coon but might be what ever it is has to climb there about a 3 in hole in the lid and the lid was still on when the boy tore part of the barn we took a 24 ft box truck body i had put it tight against the side of the barn put flashing from the barn roof to the truck body so it won't leak inbtween the barn & truck body i have the big door up about 8 in to let air in when i put my hay in for the winter may close it completely see what happens
