Gary, I had a great time in spite of a little trouble we got in. It was great to meet you and your dog. I just wish we could have hunted them together more. Just wanted to let ya know, It made my whole trip to get Maggie in the woods with her dad. That was awsome to compare her to him. They are so much alike it's scary. I wish me and Maggie could have done a little bettter in the hunts, but we will get there. She jumped on a quick lead Sat. night with 1st and 1st by herself. But when the others got deeper and away from her, she just couldn't take all the pressure that time. lol
I had a great time and plan on being there next yr. too. Thanks so much for all the hard work to make this hunt a success. It was great meeting and talking with all you guys. I look forward to the next time we all get together. Congrats. on your success, keep em going!

Pepper dogs had a big weekend in Missouri,Rascal won in the nitech hunt Friday night,Sam won the Fellowship hunt Thurs. night,Rebel won second place Sat night and Maggie won first in the treeing contest Thurs and second in the treeing contest Fri. and Sat.

brian i took moonshine down to the gene wilke memorial hunt in patton last night won best of show on the bench it might have made a show champion not sure ile have to look at my slips if not he will only need 5 or 10 points, put him in the hunt during all that rain and wind it was flat nasty out but still took 3rd overall

Travis you and Turkey are gonna make a tough team.He is gonna be very nice when he is finished.

Gary you and Shine are on a roll man.Shine may end up being the youngest dual champion ever in this breed.I was able to get Shines sister from Jake,she is at Daves rite now and it sounds like she may turning it on.Gary keep it up man thats very impressive what you and Shine are doing.Congrats!!!

brian i sure hope you have as much luck with your female as i have had with shine i really like him alot called ukc today and when the hunt report gets there from saturday it will make him a show champion. took shine out tonight with a buddy of mine and his b&t puphe just got shine made 3 trees seen 2 coon and one den heres a picture shine treeing under a coon

John that seems to be a very common trait in this line of dogs.Tree dogs cant be made,they are born with it.That was fun getting to see Maggie and her dad side by side with the coon.

Despite being 96 degrees today, I talked myself into taking turkey out for a short hunt. He ran a short track and treed a double in a mulberry tree. I made him tree for the full 5 minutes before I headed to him. Here's a little video of him treeing on my way in.

Wow another typical pepper induced hammer tree dog...this is as usual..way to easy.With cage coon...can you believe it? You would think these pepper dogs would screw up like some of the OTHERS with a coon in a cage...but they just keep turning on and turning out goodens.

Thats nice right there. If i counted right she was just shy of 120 barks a minute? I counted 56 barks in 30 seconds. Now i know that dont tree coons but when they do spit them out like that with 2 eyes lookin down it sure is impressive who wouldnt love to have something like that. NICE

Thanks Brian and Opie, turkey can spit out the barks when he knows he has a coon. I'm learning that he sounds different when he's unsure or guessing. He just turned 16 months old and only gonna get better. I'm hunting him3-4 nights a week and he looks a little better each night.

Travis keep pounding ole Turkey in the woods man,your gonna hurt alot of peoples feelings when you put him in the hunts.
Sam will continue to climb the reproducers list,Roscoe and Maggie each need a cast win,Turkey,Shine and Bandit all have their first place wins and several others have seconds and thirds.Shaker should see action this weekend in Ohio.

If you like the Famous Amos,Burning Ben,Pepper and Rusty Red blood this might be the cross for you!!!

We have 3 males available from Sam and Magic.This was a cross we tried to make three years ago.It didnt happen due to health issues with Patty.Im very happy to say it has happened finally and these pups will carry on some of my favorite blood.Ive personally hunted with or owned or handled ninety percent of the hounds in this pedigree.There are some of the toughest red dogs ever in this cross.Magic was also crossed on Jet,Sams littermate brother previously and it sounds like they are turning out nice.

My Maggie gyp is one that can flat put it out there too. Does Turkey have a hesitation between barks if unsure? Maggie will pause for just a split second between barks if she's not sure yet. She chops hard for a few barks and then there is a breath. If she's sure there is NO hesitation at all! It's straight up hard treein chop mouth. No doubles or triples, just straight clear single bark chops and she went 59 in 30 sec. at Red Days in Cuba.

John, turkey gives 2 beautiful bawl locates and then he showers down every breath. If he's unsure he'll chop 7-8 times and then bawl again. His biggest trouble at the moment is not hunting deep enough. He hunts100 mph but he needs to get deeper. I'm sure that he will with more experience. He's also showing lots of independence, which will pay off as he develops. I think I saw your female at ARD, she looked good.
