It has been raining plenty here. We have got several inches last week. Woods are sloppy and the river is just before fixing to jump the banks. Duck hunters are happy.

have been taking our pups and hunting them by theirselves. rainy fri sat sun and mon nights. aint seen a coon but my little gyp has shown me 3 possums and 1 hole(probably # 4) and little rambo has treed 1 possum 1 den and 1 slick.anybody wanna competition possum hunt? LOL and yes they are gonna get some serious heart to hearts very soon.

hey hobo, the pups are both off of boone's thunder. little rambo is out of dohoney's roxy and dodo(doe-doe) is out of dohoney's hardwood jewell. rambo goes really well with other dogs. will go as deep as they do. but alone he hunts pretty close right now. but dodo will hunt the entire area around where you drop her.you will hear her when she opens and she won't quit. coon or possum she don't care.cold trailed one deep the other week. it got to getting warmer then she sounded like she was right on his tail. i just knew when she fell treed it was a coon. nope, possum.she has definately got the hunt in her.

Heard about Hanna, thats a bummer bud. Maybe next time it will work out. Hope everything else is goin good and the rain has let up. Send some out my way if ya can convince it to switch directions.

Steve Randolph was out to the house today and he has another gyp bred to Diz if anyone is lookin for a good pup. He bred Mandy back and her first litter is around 7 months old and several are running and treeing from that cross. Still no word on the 2 females he had stolen.

Dad ended up placing 3rd at the Winter Classic held here in Oklahoma last weekend with his lil gyp he bought from Lowell Boreen last summer. Hopefully if all goes well he will have her nite championed by Southwestern Walker Days here at Ada so he can start on her Grnite degree.

Hopefully I ll start gettin cranked back up in the next week or so and gettin ole Huggy Bear back in the woods. I d like to have him dual championed by summer if I can get past this lazyness lol.

The pup Dieter Krauss sent me out of his Grnite Toby dog and our old Jane female is a super nice pup. Outstanding looks and man what a horn. He just turned 6 months old and I am gonna start really messing with him now. Hopefully I ll be able to start him by his 8month b-day. That is my plan anyway lol. I got alot of nice pics to post but just keep forgettin to bring em to post on here for you guys.

Where has everyone been hidin'?

Apparently noone is checking the Boone thread lol.

Well I finally went huntin' last nite and had a great hunt with Dad and his handler Marty Ross. Huggy really surprised me for a dog that hadnt been out of a pen in almost 4 months. We managed to tree a couple and it was a pretty easy trip. Dad's female is really clickin' right now and he is takin her to a hunt both Fri and Sat nites this weekend. I hope he gets her finished before Walker Days and before she comes in heat. Its like a race against the clock it seems sometimes. I cant wait to get me a pup out of Nikki and Dizzy.

We took some good pics last nite so I ll post a couple of em for ya'll to see. Hope everyone is doin well and gettin alot more rain than we are.

You still huntin? Mike called and said Jill and Sassy were heading out to his house from Southeastern WD so I cant wait to see Diz crossed on those two for sure.

Where is everyone else been hiding. Skinner hasnt been on in a while it seems.

Tonites hunt....

Well a big sleet storm moved in and everything is covered with ice. We still had a decent turn out with 8 open registered dogs and 4 nitech dogs. Nikki had 300 circle and they never made a tree with a coon on the outside. Mike Grant won 1st with 125+ with his redtick out of Cutter. Only coon scored in the hunt.
So we ll see if the roads will allow us to go to Trousdale tomorrow nite and try to get another place on her. Hope everyone is having better weather than we are. lol

Talked to Mike around noon and he was in NC on his way to SETWA days. How many Boone junkies are goin down there this weekend? Dizzy oughta really enjoy that down there. Mike said he hasnt been down there since he had Ringo and Cadillac. Thats like 25 years ago lol.

Thanks guys. I have'nt been getting alot in Scotty. Either rain, snow and ice or all three. We usually get to hunt on up to June before it gets really hot so I hope to do alot more.

Walkerfied our phone has been out for two days now. Company said they are working on it. You will have to call me at 731-780-4407 or at the store at 731-663-2488. Will be in & out of the store so probally better to call at 4407. Will be unavailable all day Mon. You guys take care & thanks for remembering Mom. Today has been a rough one. Today would have been Jessica's 21st birthday, it was Mom & Dads 43rd wedding anniversity, and we found out about Mom all the same day.

Tonites Hunt

Well tonite was Huggy Bears first hunt alone and well it coulda been better but it coulda been a lot worse lol. He made 2 dens by himself and I thought I would kick the ole man out with him on the third turn out and get a coon treed.....instead had to settle for another den 2 miles from where I turned em out. lol Here is a pic of Huggy on one of his dens.

Hope ya enjoy it!

PS hey I never noticed the moth I caught in the pic flying right in front of his mouth....bet that was a scared moth lol.
