I'm going to start breeding Whip if anyone is interested. He is out of Crocket x Punkin. Both hounds are triple crown champions and national grnitechs. Whip has lots to offer and anyone Is welcome to come hunt with him. Whip is a first class tree dog with a beautiful loud mouth that anyone can call. He has treed all types of coon from layups to bad tracks. He likes to be alone but will tree with company and take pressure. He is very intelligent and showing great things for a young hound. I waited too long to start breeding Crocket and not going to make the same mistake with Whip.

I've seen all the so called experts talk talk talk about knowing the difference in a real winner vs the ones that blow about having a real winner. The same experts never have anything worth pushing in the hunts and I never see them winning anything. What I do see is them criticizing everyone else who tries to push their hounds in the hunts and especially those that go out and win. Another thing I've noticed is the same ones are always raising litters of pups out of these supposed to be super crosses and never keeping one and doing anything with it. Wouldn't it be better if everyone just hunted what they like and stop criticizing everyone else for what they hunt. Most of these experts never have raised their own winner but have to buy something to hunt. How ironic is it that the same people are always running their mouth. Larry Hamlin has taught me a lot about raising what you hunt and hunting what you raise. This way you have nobody else to blame for what is on your leash. When you can win generation after generation with what you raise it speaks for itself. Good luck to everyone hunting a blue hound.

Oh and don't be such a politically correct snowflake lol

Not sure cause I haven't hunted with them all. I've got 3 nice females and 1 nice male that I like. The male is going to be super special when I get back to hunting him like he needs. You are welcome to come hunt with them. Why do you ask?

He doesn't have many. Only 56 registered. There have been some good ones that died before they could finish and some before they had a chance to compete

I was thinking he had over 100 pups? Must have been mistaken. I hunted with one one night I believe. I can't recall her bottom side. We didn't have a good hunt, none of the dogs looked good, just one of those nights. I've never had the chance to hunt with Crocket but he's a good looking sucker.

Yes he has had 108 pups but only 56 have been registered. Lots of folks dont go to the hints and wont spend the money lol. They all have bad nights. Never seen a perfect hound. Maybe someday we can hunt together and you can see my potstickers go.

We lost him this morning at 12 years old. Without a doubt the best Coon Hound I've ever had the pleasure of hunting. He will forever be missed and always have a place in my heart. Crocket gave his best even when he was sick. All heart!

Sorry to here that about Crocket I've been following him for a while on here and the breed just lost a heck of a dog. Wish I'd got a chance to own a pup off him just never got around to it. RIP Crocket

Thanks everyone who has called, messaged, or posted kind words about Crocket. It means a lot to me and Larry. I'm glad we have nice hounds out of him to carry his traits on and that definitely helps to move on. Hamlin's Blue Whip will be the one now that will take Crocket's place in the kennel. He has big shoes to fill but I believe he will get it done. Thanks again and God bless you all.

Big thanks to Mike Sheppard for making the cross with Punkin that has given us Whip. I hope to make Mike and Larry proud with this hound in the coming years.
