BAM
Thanks Guys, he looks better on the tree than in the kennel and hopefully I will have some of those kind of pictures Soon. Got a call today and they said my 4 wheeler is fixed so I will pick it up Saturday morning. To busy tomorrow and Friday trying to get a roof on a Pavilion I'm building for someone. Once I get done with that roof all the other work will be on the ground. I have been doing the job by myself and all the up and down on the scaffolding and ladder measuring and cutting lumber has kept me so sore that even if the 4 wheeler was here I doubt I would have hunted much. It's heck getting old and out of shape but I'm slowly getting tuned back up, lol! Saturday night Bam and I going Hunting!

Steve
How is ole Bo's foot doing. When he gets able to go give me a holler and I'll get you to come over here. I think it will be a little easier on him and you too. We usually can ride to within 100 yrds of the tree and pretty good walking. How is that foot doing. I know as tough as you are you are probably going to say its alright and it probably aint, but let me know. I sure would like to hear Ole Tramp and Bo get after a good running one. I aint treed an easy coon in a while. Gin's 5 pups are still making it. It seems like every time I get thru feeding them. It don't seem like, but just a few minutes and they are ready to eat again. Boy from now on when I have a female have a litter of pups, I'm going To lock them in a steel vault and feed her stake for all they are worth. Steve Take care of yourself an ole Bo and give me a shout when you can.
MY WORK
Mr. Jack I'm glad to hear the pups are doing good. Hoping you get them all raised up. Another week and they should be lapping the milk and nibbling a little food and that will make it a little easier on you. Bo's foot has a torn spot on the pad but I have some of those dog boots and when I get my 4 wheeler out of the shop Saturday his butt is going hunting for a drop or two then will take Bam for a while. They called and said they had the Axle fixed so I will be back at it Saturday night. Will hook up with you first of next week. The pictures are the Project I have been working on. A Pavilion for my cousin and her husband. I finished decking out the vaulted ceiling today with my River Recovered Cypress Boards and put the Roofing Felt Paper on and lathing for the Metal Roof that I will put on tomorrow. Then I will be back on the ground doing the easy stuff like building their Outdoor Kitchen Counter Tops, Bar and Bench all made out of my Sinker Cypress. Then they want me to build the Grandkids a Club House, change out some Columns on the front of their house and put Sinker Cypress Timbers in and a few other things. Enjoying my work and take pride in seeing my wood and workmanship make folks extremely happy. I will give you a shout soon, Take Care of yourself and those pups!

Man that is some good looking work Steve. That Pavillion already looks great, put another picture on here when you get it finished. Take care Steve. I'll be waiting on your call.
FINALLY!!!!
Thanks MR. Jack. I enjoyed our hunt tonight. Couldn't wait to get back home and put these pictures on here and get Ole BO and Tramp " BACK TO THE TOP !! " Seems I seen a thread where they babbling about the BTT hounds that BTT every day. Well, if seeing someone's thread go BTT once a day because a man hunts and loves his hound annoys some folks then they just need to drink their Kool Aid and get ready to be Annoyed because me and my BTT STUD are finally back after those Bandits and I have a couple more young BTT STUDS in the making! And I plan on telling my stories every day! That top picture I had already loaded my 4 wheeler and hunting gear into the truck and Bo was watching from his pen. I told Beverly to get the camera ready and I cut him loose to do his business before I loaded him up. He came out of that gate flying around the yard cutting donuts and when he saw me sitting on the bench he came flying at me and jumped into my arms. I don't know who was happier we were finally starting back hunting, me or Ole Bo. Enjoyed listening to Tramp and Bo on those two trees we made. Sure have missed it. Going to take a few weeks to get him in shape and clicking but we going to be out there trying and hoping to be the BTT KING! Good Hunting, Bam's turn tomorrow!

BAM
Thanks Guys! Tonight I took Bam to Bo's Bottom and all the signs pointed to a Bad Night. First, the Full Moon. Then half way there a yapping house dog ran out beside the 4 wheeler and Bam decided he would jump off after him. He was hanging by his collar and I got stopped quick but the snap broke and off he went after the mutt and into the folks yard. I called him but he was going to ignore me so I let Mr. Tri Tronics call him and he listened real good and loaded back up. We went on and got to the gate where they have a new combination lock but no sweat because I had been told the combo. But, do yaw know how small those numbers are on a lock?!!!! I couldn't tell what number was what. I finally widened my eyes enough to focus best I could and put the light on it just right and after about 10 tries got the dang lock open. Didn't go 50' and had another problem. A huge culvert goes under the trail into BO's Bottom and when the river flooded and all that rain last month had blew dirt out around the culvert and the trail fell in 8' deep. I finally found a narrow spot that if it didn't cave in I could squeeze by and we did. Got on in there and cut Bam and he hunted out good all over the swamp bottom but never got a bark. I put out a tire feeder with sour corn so that will put us in business soon. We left there and went to Black Branch Swamp. He struck a rough track at 247yds moved it about 200 more opening about 8 times then located up but didn't stick. He stayed right there a few minutes and I was hoping he would get back on it but he finally drifted off and got a hot track headed my way. I figured Rabbit but it was a Diller, ran across trail with my light on him so I cut it out and tapped Bam a couple licks and he shut down and came in to me so I loaded him up, took this picture of him under the full moon on back of 4 wheeler then came on home. Do it again tomorrow. With all that went wrong tonight I can honestly say I had a good time. To be back in my boots with a light on my head in these swamps after over two months of no hunting is a great feeling. Never take for granted anything you love in life because it could be gone in the blink of an eye. Good to be back at it again. River is up about a foot from rain we had last night so going to idle along in the boat Saturday night and see if I can shine a coon so Bam gets a hot track to roll. Gotta get this pup under some Coon!

CRAWFISH
Another Crawfish Boil on the River today. I love this time of year and today was a Beautiful Day for having some family and friends over. Crawfish are big and getting cheap so we will probably boil a sack or two every weekend until they go out of season.

I will be boiling another sack this Saturday evening and would like for you to come eat some with us then we make a hunt. I will call you Thursday and see if you can make it, Take Care.
Roger congrats on the winning yaw are doing with Thunder. He is a fine hound and I enjoy the videos you send me of him. Bam is the same blood and I hope he turns out as nice as Thunder. Good Luck with him in the future and I hope some nice females will come see him as I feel he will pass on the things we all look for in a hound. Ability, Mouth and Looks. Take Care.

TREE BAM!!!
Bam did a great job on this coon tonight for a 10 month old pup. Went to Bo's Bottom first but didn't get one going so took him to Black Branch Swamp where he struck at almost 300yds, moved it out opening a dozen times and covering another 330yds then hit the tree with 3 of the prettiest locates you will ever hear. Treed good all the way to him and he was on this Gnarly, Big Water Oak with the Coon. Proud of this Pup tonight! With some good, steady hunting this summer he should be really clicking by the time Fall rolls around.
Chris they were pretty darn good. They are plentiful this year and the price is getting better every week. Congrats again on that big cast win with Jazz. I would have loved to been along to watch her treeing those coon. Take Care.

BO and BAM
Thanks MR. Ed and Tommy, this summers hunting is going to make Bam. Bo was the same age when I hunted him hard in Bo's Bottom that summer and put 10 coon down to him by the time fall rolled around and he was looking great by then and I feel Bam with the same kind of hunting will be as good or maybe better in about 6 months. Going to be fun watching him develop. We going to the Swamp and Bo's Bottom tonight. This is pictures from Monday evenings swim. You can tell they got a little fat laid up for two months but they going to lose it quick. I've lost 15 pounds in the past 3 1/2 weeks and feeling lots better so will be pushing these two hounds hard. Blade is ready to go but will have to wait a couple months before I carry him much. Got to get Bam getting under them every night before I start another one. I know in the picture it looks like they trash talking one another but they had just caught scent of a coon from across the river and when they blew up I told Beverly to get a picture. There is a den just in the edge of the woods on other side of river and If the wind is right when I'm swimming them they always let me know he's home.

Blueticks Hounds
Steve u have some of the best looking hounds, that I have ever seen, cant wait for u get Bam Bam as good as Bo or better, I know u think a lot of your hounds, im going to have some semen on Thunder soon, I know you talk about the Jake dog that u owned, I will send it to u at no cost....Just keep that in mind...Thunder Storm is coming... don't get struck by lighting...LoL
Reading stories>
You, and Mr Jack has the best stories, I wish I was closer, I would hunt with you guys every night....
THUNDER
Thanks for the compliments on my hounds Roger and the offer on the Semen. If all works out with Stormy and Boomer and Terry gets pups on the ground and I get ole Stormy back down here when she comes back around in heat we will make that cross and double up on Jakes blood. But I can't except it for free because you have a fine hound and putting the money and miles in him to get those wins and you deserve to get some of that money back in the breeding pen and I will be more than happy to pay. Stormy is in great shape for an older gyp so if she continues to stay that way we will make it happen one day on down the road. I wish you were closer to because Mr. Jack and I would enjoy your company and watching Thunder Go, Take Care.

BO and BAM
Took Bo and Bam to Black Branch swamp and Bam struck right at 200yds and opened about 6 times then Bo started putting in with him. They moved it down the branch but Bo came across 4 wheeler trail with his track and headed west as Bam kept working his down the branch to the south. Bo moved west 247yds then came treed hard. I rode 4 wheeler around to within 70yds of Bo and went in the oak thicket where he was treed and he had a coon up a medium size oak. Bam was over 500 from us at that point but had slowed down as he was in a spot that has a lot of water and looking at the Garmin I could tell he was looking for a tree. I rode around and got close to him and he had drifted the track out of the water and was headed toward a bad part of the swamp so I caught him when he came close. Boy was he ticked off! When I snapped him up and started back to the 4 wheeler he was roaring his rage toward the swamp, wanting to get back at the tracking job and put that coon up the tree. He acted up so bad it made me wonder if it was Ole Rocket he was trailing and he remembered when Rocket came out of that Magnolia Tree onto his head. I would have let him go on if swamp wasn't full of water but I just thought it best not to let him go any further on that rough track in those rough conditions until he gets some more good ones under his belt. Headed down the River in the Jet Boat tonight. Good Hunting.

TREE BAM!!!!
Guys and Gals this is gonna be a good one so make yourself a big pot of coffee or picture of that Kool Aid and settle in for a couple of shore nuff good stories. I called Mr. Jack after lunch and asked him if he wanted to come eat Crawfish with us and make a hunt and he said yes so this evening we had a batch of Boiled Crawfish. Some of Beverly's Kinfolk were here also helping eat them up and as they were leaving a little before dark Pebbles was throwing a fit in the pen. After the company left I went out to the pen to see what was going on and there was a Copper Head Snake in Bam's pen and Bam was darting back and forth at him while Pebbles cheered him on. I got a board and killed the snake. Just the other day I killed one just like him right at our outdoor kitchen. Well, I was worried Bam might have been bitten so I give him a couple Benadryl in case he had a reaction. Mr. Jack went to his truck to get ready to go hunting and I got my stuff together. As I was getting my collar for Bo Mr. Jack said he forgot his hunting boots at home and said he would just listen to my hounds tonight. We looked at Bam and he wasn't acting snake bit so I loaded him and Bo and we took off. Cut them down Black Branch and they struck right off. Wasn't long and Bo popped his up but Bam was off to the left a little and wasn't backing, he never does. I went in to Bo and he was on a big cottonwood blowing the top out but it was in a jungle and no way to get a light up it. Bam didn't show up even though the Garmin showed he came within 36yds of the tree as he drifted around looking for the track out. Bo and I went back to the 4 wheeler and I put him on it and hooked him up. Mr Jack and I talked just a minute then Bam started opening every now and then deeper in the swamp as he moved his track on down the branch. Within 10 minutes of Bo and I getting back to the 4 wheeler Bam hit the tree almost 400yds from us. I asked Mr. Jack to keep Bo quite for me and I took off to my pup. He treed good and steady the whole time it took me to wade 6" to 1' of water most of the way. Lucky for me the dozer trail came within 100' of the big oak Bam was on and I saw the coon from the trail. It was a good size gnarly oak in a young pine thicket just up from the swamps edge. I took a video as I was coming in to Bam and will get it on here tomorrow. I loved him up good and would have really liked to give him this coon but the past year coon were scarce in Black Branch Swamp and I'm not shooting any for a while there and hadn't even brought my rifle. Bam and I made our way back to the 4 wheeler and Mr. Jack and he looked at me and asked if I had fell down and I said no, why? He said your soaked but look at me, All Dry! Gotta love a kidder, lol! We headed home but on the way my 4 wheeler right front tire was squeaking and squealing and has been for a couple days. I figured it was a bearing and it is. It got worse the more we rode then grabbed and jerked the steering a little and I was scared it was going to lock up so Mr. Jack took off to go get his truck and 4 wheeler trailer so we could load it up. As he left I eased down the road a little more and a Big Coon ran across the road close to where Rocket The Racoon has his Den. Bo and Bam didn't see him but when I rode across where the coon crossed they both blew up and made enough racket to wake the dead. I couldn't believe I was setting on the side of the road on a broke down 4 wheeler and had just saw a coon run across the road because we Never see coons cross the roads around here there just aren't a lot anymore. Mr. Jack got back and his trailer wasn't big enough to hold my 4 wheeler and my trailer had a 7' bush hog on it at home that I had bought today but not unloaded so no choice but to limp on to the house. We made it without the wheel falling off. As I was getting Bo and Bam out of Mr. Jacks truck I could have swore I saw Tramp laying on his Hunting Boots on the back seat. But the light was bad so maybe not. But then again when he got up from the supper table he did say that he would be way behind me tonight after eating all those Crawfish but I never thought he meant he would be setting on his 4 wheeler in new white tennis shoes way behind me!!! Good Hunting!!!!
P. S. Roger, Kevin and Thunder yaw better hurry up and get that UKC WORLD because me and BAM are setting our sights on it!!!!!

Good one
Steve I really injoyed myself last night. The Crawfish were great and It was good to meet some of Mrs. Beverly's
family, They sure seemed like my kind of folks. I'm sorry about the boots and bearings, but that part of it might have been for a reason, because if I hadn't forgotten my boots we probably wouldn't have had Bam with us and would not have gotten to see what a tremendous job he did on that coon. Bo did his usual good job, but that was nothing new for Bo, he does that everytime, but Bam at 10 months old, split off alone from Bo, Struck his track, worked it out of there, opening about right for about 400 yrds and slamed a tree, and treed hard and never let up till you led him off the tree and had the coon. You cant draw up a plan for one to do any better than that. For the bearing going out and the coon crossing the road. The lord might have been saving us or the dogs from some unseen tradgidy, at least that's the way I aways look at things like that. As always Steve I had a good time hunting with good friends and good dogs. Will be lookin forward to our next hunt.
GREAT TIME
Thanks MR. Jack, I always look forward to our hunts. Seems like the Good Lord always blesses us with a great Adventure when we get together. I took my 4 wheeler to the shop today and as I was unstrapping the front end I saw a Big Rock jammed where the right front axle goes into the front chunk. I popped it out and it showed signs of rubbing for a while. I thought, " Could this be my problem? Unloaded the 4 wheeler and rode it around the parking lot and no squealing, all fine. Put it back on the trailer and came home. Talk about feeling like a dummy but glad I'm not out 200 bucks for new bearings I don't need. Talk to you soon, Take Care.
