Bub sent me this picture of Bandit x Buck knotted...

We just made it to Dillwyn Va getting ready to go hunting current temperature here is 34 degrees... We will be hunting Blu Hoss and NtCh Hard Wood Pepper . Lil Blue a Maggie x Orville pup will also be tagging along with us just for the experience. . Wish us luck...

Not a good night... Thirteen coons seen... Two den trees... Three skunks caught on the ground... Pepper was involved in all three.. Blu on two and Hoss on one of them. Other then the skunky night Pepper and Blu done well... On the other hand Hoss didn't do much at all. Lil Blue had fun he sniffed a couple trees and almost barked on the tree. .. I have several videos and pics coming soon... All in all it was decent night for a heavy frosty night with three skunks caught. The ladies about made us sleep outside. ..

Had a good night of hunting looked at 18 coons. I had full intentions of recording every tree tonight but my phone ran out of space. On the 11th tree. We treed in two dens and one hole. Blue and Pepper done very well Hoss hasn't much a clue. Lil Blu treed on a drag. I we be posting videos and pics soon... My phone is about to die ...

Yes Thanks to you and Neil....

We had a blast 31 coons in a 2 night hunt 10 hours of walk hunting that is an average of 3.1 coons per hour... Reguardless of the three skunks... Me and Bill parted ways today with Hoss his new home is now somewhere in Va about 40 mins out of Churchville. He just didn't pass he residential exam to reside here to pay his rent...

Now that we are back home I can start uploading this weekends videos. I think I counted 17 of them... So stay tuned in for some live action...

I would like to send a thanks to my step son and the Reeves Family for welcoming us in to thier home. It has been a very different hunting experience. Thanks for the kindness and warm hospitality... It is kinda like a bed and breakfast of a coon hunters dream... Not sure if we will make it back down anymore this year but I cant wait to return for another hunt...

In a 6 week period of only 4 nights of hunting we looked at a total of 84 coons in a total of 17 hours of hunting... That is just totaly unimaginable... I wittnessed it and still cant believe it... WOW!!!

Now its time start hunting my two favorite hounds Blu and his sister

'PR' Given's Plain English Lil ' Blue.. I would like to Thank Bub and Neil Cash for allowing us to be apart of this cross. This was Blue's second trip to the woods and his second coon drag. He trailed and treed it. He is still very young at only 3 months old but he is off to good start. Chad and I are well pleased with him... Thanks again. ..

Ol man winter is on his way they are calling for rain turning to snow after midnight could get 6 inches in the high mountain top areas. 1-2 inches in the coal fields... High today was 60 degrees.. Temp now here is 42 degrees High for tomorrow 33 degrees... Temps back up to nearly 70 by Sunday...

Your hounds are looking good, that pepper sure is a steady tree dog. How old is she. Love the mouth on ol blu to. Just curious what kind of dog food do you feed? Looks like your hounds are nice and healthy with a good coat on them.

Thanks for the kind words... Pepper is 8 she is also a NtCh Treeing Walker. I paid good money for her 4 years ago. I am a English man but I like coon dawgs! Reguardless of sex color or breed. I am hard to please. If it cant pay its own rent or feed bill it dont stay here. I dont have perfect hounds but I like most of what I have. Blu and Sue are litermates and they are my favorite right now. I owe a few guys a huge thanks for this pair. First and foremost is Dave Haugh for their sire Roofus. Bub Casadorph for leasing me their dam Rose. Unfortunately the both of them have passed away and are greatly missed... Rookie Beres for hooking me up with Bub. Jerry Copley for getting Roofus to WV. I have some good crosses planned in the near future...

As for what feed I use is Purina Dog Chow... Not because it is the best because its not. But my hounds do well with it. I save the weight circle points for $7.00 checks. I buy it at Sams in 50 or sometimes 55lb bonus bags.. In other words for me it is more affordable..

Yeah thats also what i feed and my hounds do real good on it. A lot of people dont like it but it does good on my hounds plus the points system is a plus.
