You puttin metal on your house? That's what I got & yes never use shingles again, only thing bout metal it gets wet & she's slicker than a minnows d**k.

Posted by hillbilly56 on 06-15-2019 01:42 AM:

yep metal is the way to go i had 40 yrs on my roof put a vapor barrier under mine but didn't use 2x4s it will out last me for sure

Posted by bigtimberkennel on 06-15-2019 12:00 PM:

Rain a bit last night & been rainin earlier,a wet 62 degrees,I had my metal roof put on them guys had it on & done while I was thinkin bout it,put down a vapor barrier looked like house rap then screwed the metal over the top no 2×4's or nothin,he said you can do it both ways one costs a bit more but long enough screws & no need for lumber runners.

Posted by bigtimberkennel on 06-15-2019 01:44 PM:

Chuck got the radiator on the tractor recored, but hasn't ran it long enough to see if it's going to overheat. I think he has a new Kubota setting at the dealers, too. Yesterday when I got home from riding, he said he checked our porch roof because I noticed water running down from the roof instead of going in the gutter. He thinks the roof needs to be replaced ☹️. I'll never get my house remodeled. I'm getting tired of being a home owner, so I went riding today. Got back just before the rain. Now it's supposed to rain until Saturday.
