Might have to take you up on that sometime. Could get together with bryan and hit the woods. My plan is to head up north at least 2 weekends in nov. Usually do the same sit in a tree all day and coon hunt all night.

One of the places I bowhunt is about halfway between me and Brian so that would work out pretty good.

Sassy is due next weekend. I'll keep you posted. Was hoping to get into the new house before she has them so she could be in the basement. Supposed to close on it next week.

Hey Coret, this rain is rediculous. Hpe Dutch is healing up fine. Ive been gettin ol Walleye back in shape, and he's doing a pretty nice job, and Deisel has been looking pretty good. Hunted him with a walker guy that has a couple of nice females and he told me that night he looked as good as anything he's drawn in awhile. Bussey next Sat, then there is five hunts close in Oct. I think its time I get off my a$$ and get him a title. Hide season is looking like alot of fun for me this year. I don't care about killing to many, but if the price is up I might pay for a little dog food. Let me know how Dutch is doing.

Posted by Hawk32 on 09-13-2008 06:17 PM:

Dutch is looking a lot better today. Swelling has gone down. They readjusted his drain tubes and that seemed to help. Bring um over here and see if they can teach these sorry blue dogs a trick or two.

Back a few years ago did you ever get ta breed to that Geronimo dog?
Was just curious on that deal ?Wandering how them pups are doing ?Looking ta get a female grandpup outta that dawg here real soon .

Posted by SJunior on 09-14-2008 08:46 AM:

Could always hunt down here, Shimek has enough high ground where you wouldn't have to swim to get to the hounds.

Hey,

If you can pry your Bluetick butt away from this computer tomorrow night, I'll come up and shuck 'em with you after I get off work. Gimme a call tomorrow sometime.

Jiggs did a good job tonite. Winded one but couldn't lock up on a tree. Next one was in a very leafy tree, but that was the most intense he's been on a tree. Couldn't see the top of the tree but i'm sure there was one there. Third one he was treed on 2 trees next to each other, had the coon in one and couldn't get to a place to look the other over. Got about 100 yards from the truck and he bout yanked my arm out of it's socket but I decided I was done for the nite.

Gonna put him in a hunt in Farmington in a few weeks so I hope he keeps stickin to the trees like he has lately.

Moved Sassy into the my den tonite to get her out of the swamp that used to be my yard. 5 days to go.

Sounds good Steve. I'm betting the older he gets the better he'll get. Especially after a season on him. There have been a few others that started slower on the tree and then came on strong. I hunted with a young red dog the other night that was in the same boat and he all of a sudden he flipped that switch and was blowing the top out of one that night with champ and brandy. Owner didn't even believe me when I said that was him. Wonder who that could be, Snyder? Most of the time if they got the makings of a dog that switch will flip and they'll put it all together.

Bryan
My JV won 24-8 last night. We had right at 100 yards in penalties. that might get addressed a little bit tonight at practice.

100 yards in penilties! Someone surely will get talked too. Hope its off sides and not personal foul stuff.
The boys are only playing football! They need to take there aggression out somewhere. Better on the field then the streets!

These sorry blue dogs and one red dog managed to tree 5 coon in a hour and half tonight. Pretty dang nice night. If it was always this easy I'd get bored.

Good Hunt

Thorson,

Thanks for the hunt. It was a good time. I still can't believe we had such a good hunt in an hour and a half on a bright full moon night. I see how you got spoiled over the years hunting Brandy and Dutch.

Thanks for letting Ray-Ray tag along and learn. I think he will make the grade.

Jiggs and Shaker put one up tonite, even though I think they went farther than they should have to get one up a tree. Got a good pic of Jiggs on the tree, tried to get a pic of both but my camera was full. We walked thru some sh!t to get to them, then realized there was a much easier way back to the truck.
