I got my too smart phone replaced... left Million Dollar Momma at home to rest up and took my newest project last night. Coons are sure hard to trail here right now. Nothing but old cold feeder tracks. Dogs must have hit 4 trees on the way to this one but they had a coon when they stayed. It was a long, steep walk/climb at 2 am but at least it had cooled off.

Nothing beats a casual stroll at 2am to a coon. 👍

If I am the one going, then it is real casual. I took a stroll across a waist high bean field earlier in the night but I forgot my phone. Halfway across I decided that I should have just walked around it. I was soaking wet. I turned loose in a woods that was supposed to have a corn field on the other side and couldn't understand why the dogs got so bogged down when they got to it.

It's so hot here in the mountains the bugs have stopped swarming around your light

Bond, you must be talking about the light on your front porch. I finally hit a hot track last night. Wendy and Lil Reba struck at 300 yds and treed at 600 yds. But it was so hot out I just quit and came home after that. It was still 78 degrees and terribly humid at 11 pm.

It sounds like P Mike had a long night and has some new arrivals this morning.

All right P Mike, what is the final count?

Oh my goodness what a team! When the going gets tuff, the tuff get going. Jason got sick and went to the Dr this past week and found out that he has Lymes Desease. The Dr put him on Doxycycline for 30 days. And he isn't a kid anymore so it has to be twice as hard on him. Well last night he pulled up his big boy pants and went out in the heat and humidity and took Rhonda to a UKC hunt. Not only did he hunt but he won and made Rhonda a Nt Ch. I guess that is why they call him the Pro handler. He should be a real inspiration to all of us. I will remember this the next time that I am laying on the couch telling myself that it is too hot and/or I am too tired to go hunting.

Oh my goodness, we treed 4 singles last night. Bolt treed 2, Boone treed 1 and Wendy/Wilma treed 1. What a night, I had to put my long sleeved shirt on.

I hunted Bolt, 13 mos old Ranger X Wendy pup in his first hunt last night and got beat. Imagine that! But I got to hunt with two legends, Bud Hood and Gene Driggars so I had a great time.

Been taking Winnie a couple times a week and she's been looking pretty good, hopefully she will be ready for the zone's next month.

Posted by Richard Lambert on 08-02-2017 08:24 PM:

Hopefully it will cool off.

Well it is getting to be that time of year again. Here are Neon Deon and Pluto getting ready for Fall...

Bond, it looks like I have another cookie cutter.

Posted by Richard Lambert on 08-11-2017 04:36 PM:

And here is another cookie cutter, a 14 mos old Haze grandpup. Isn't it amazing how much the resemblance keeps showing up even when you breed to different outside lines.

Posted by wbond on 08-12-2017 12:28 AM:

Wonder

Does this old cookies have any cutters

Actually there are 2 Haze dogs as well.....Boone and Grand Nite Hazel owned by Bob Jackson.

Looks good for this year. Looking forward to it. Wished Frog could have been ready too but just to soon after pups.

Oh my goodness, if Frog hadn't just had pups and Wendy wasn't due to come in heat there really would have been a bunch of T-Top Rabble offspring there.

Congratulations Jason and Bond... I hear that Willow had 8 pups this morning.
