Merry Christmas everyone. Big is right. Hell of a christmas day. supposed to be close to 70 today. still a little snow left on the ground. my lake thawed out. if the temps stays progressively better or steady, i may be able to catch a nice bag of crappie this weekend. last night the coyotes were within 100 yards of my house in the timber over my dam. sure were loud. i hope i have some time to thin them out this year. don't ever see any around the house with the great dane house dog around. she hates them. gonna go to the river for a christmas steak dinner with some friends, play some euchre and drink some whiskey.

It was in the 50's today, I should have went riding, but we took my mom to the casino. She hit 8 Quick Hits on free game spins. It would have been $800+, but she got times 3, so she got over $2400.

Dang sounds like a very good Christmas present for Mom,its 45 & breezy but bearable for the end of December callin for rain tonight.....there goes the huntin for me tonight if it does.

How'd the euchre night go? We use to play it all the time. I took a deck of cards with me when we'd take 2 dogs to the competitions because I'd show them both on the bench and Chuck would take Ruby to the night hunt and I'd stay at the club house with Dandy. Hoped the guys that stayed back would want to play euchre...most of the young guys hadn't heard of it and no one knew how to play it. They all were on their cellphones ☹️

Yes, mom had a very Merry Christmas. We went up to celebrate Chuck's bday (66 today) since she was the BIG winner, she bought lunch on the way home, so we all enjoyed her win.

Went great. Always play in the winter time when everyone is in the cabin by the fire.
Raining pretty good here. went to a little pond not far from the house with my dane on the 4 wheeler the ohter day. He has a serious beaver problem on that lake this year. looked like dam near every tree had been chewed on

Raining here, it started late Am. Sprinkled a couple of times while we were checking traps. Not doing so good this year, we got a fisher and 2 coons, have 33 traps out most of them we set last Saturday. Went down to the Allegheny River today to check out places to set more bobcat traps, but saw more beaver signs than anything else. Have permission from 3 landowners to trap there so after it quits raining, we'll set traps there.

Are hides worth trappin anymore? Last I heard coyote was all that was worth anything. Well our spring break is over 36 this mornin & big time windy,coolin down fast. Feels like 26 & 18 mph winds.

man that wind is a ripping...there will be two auction ,one in march and one in may,,,don't look like theres going to be any major price moves on the fur.....
