Got home yesterday from our camping trip. Had great weather for riding. We rode 3 days. Jericho fell in the trailer on the way there, broke the window out with his nose. The trip home was less exciting.
Today was catch up day.

Had a downpour here around 9 am, with a half hour long growl and thunder and lightening. It sounded like a low flying jet for 1/2 hr. In late May 1985, we had one of the biggest tornadoes in the US touch down here, since it's such a rural area, we didn't have many deaths or building destruction. A lot of people, us included, thought maybe we were going to get a 2nd one this Am.
Before the storm Chuck went fishing, he caught his limit (5) of trout, one was the first palomino he ever caught; it was 14" long.

Not getting much hay, only 205 bales today and we're almost 1/2 done. Last yr, we got twice that much.

Hope your friend's knee surgery goes well. I have 3 friends getting shoulder surgery. One is getting her rotator cuff repaired Friday and the other 2 will have their surgery in July. We're all complaining about our golden years not being so great.

that parkisons slowly destroyed him

Posted by Rex Ridge on 06-09-2020 05:32 AM:

HB, sorry about your friend, especially that he had Parkinson's.

We got 580 bales of hay made, NOT a very good hay yr for us. We usually get 750-900 bales. It was hot today and not much of a breeze.

My friends invited me to go camping/riding last visit weekend, but couldn't because of hay. I rode Saturday with a couple of friends. I use an App on my phone to track my mileage, I've rode over 221 miles so far. Happy trails, Cotton.

Well HB you know the old sayin Old truckers never die they get a new Peterbilt. Those are ok trks but I prefer KW or Mack

Posted by Rex Ridge on 06-09-2020 05:11 PM:

I think my dad would be happy with a new Peterbuilt. My Uncle not so sure. He had a Farmall sticker on his last truck... maybe as long as it's red, he'd be ok with it 😃
